Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 936 514: Descent, Plunder, Rebuilding the Holy Sanctuary (Part 2)

Chapter 936

While the leading vanguard Dragon-man Battle Group was cursing under their breath, the third Floating City descended. At this time, even though the Abyss Will summoned more demons to attack, and even Demon Lords were forced to make an appearance to stop them, the three Floating Cities formed a mutually supporting triangle, sufficient to guard the space-time portal personally opened by the Dragon God.
"This is utterly rotten!"
The Dragon God, who held the authority of death, slowly spread his Dragon Wings. In his dragon eyes, more dazzling and piercing than molten gold, there was a look of disdain and disgust.
When he first appeared, a group of Demon Lords who had fled at the sight of him, now gathered around once more, although few of them retained their self-consciousness at this moment.
The chaotic will of the Abyss interfered with them. While they surrounded him, some Abyss Lords started to fight amongst themselves, entirely without logic and completely unreasonable.
In fact, this situation was common on the Abyss Battlefield. Even during the Hell invasion, at such a perilous time, demons who should have blocked the Hell Legion's invasion started massacring their peers before even reaching the battlefield, or engaged in combat with similarly matched demons, fighting one-on-one.
Well, it's not that there weren't brainless fools who challenged demons of a higher rank, but these guys were immediately cut down upon making a move. Demons don't show mercy.
Of course, there were also demons with enough luck. They would backstab during the skirmishes among High Rank Great Demons and other demons, successfully taking down the opponent and evolving from it.
Yes, on the battlefield resisting the Abyss invasion, a demon who successfully killed their peer amidst such internal conflict and survived could still earn a reward from the Abyss Will, sometimes even favor.
Even with the force dispatched by the Abyss Will, seven to eight-tenths were consumed in infighting, yet the remaining less than three-tenths successfully curbed the Abyss invasion and even held back a True God.
"Terramus, I'm here to help!"
When Terramus was held back by a group of Abyss Lords who had already nurtured Divinity, a blaze symbolizing Light and holiness descended from the sky, instantly slaying an Abyss Lord on the spot.
"Your sword is quite nice."
When he saw his brother, who bore the Sword of Judgment, descend beside him, with twelve Holy Light-infused Dragon Wings spreading behind him, Terramus glanced at the Great Sword in his hand and praised it.
"Your Hunting Knife is pretty good too."
"Of course, unfortunately, this Hunting Knife seems suited for a Goddess, not quite fitting me."
Terramus, in the form of a Giant Dragon, sighed lightly; no Dragon God retains a humanoid form during battle.
"No, it's not just unsuitable for me, it's also not right for my current mindset."
"Terramus, haven't you ever considered refining the Divine Artifact into your body? If you dislike the Hunting Knife, why not consider refining it into your tail?"
"Great idea, I'll try when I get back!"
The brothers' forms, Divine Positions, and even Divine Power Levels differed, yet they cooperated seamlessly.
When the two True Gods joined forces, the tenuous offensive of the Demon Lord quickly collapsed. However, before the brothers could press their advantage, a massive shadow appeared in the distance.
With demonic might that solidified the drifting Demonic Qi, the formerly leisurely brothers, as if strolling through their backyard, suddenly wore grave expressions.
"Abyss Monarch?"
"Demon Prince?!"
In the instant they saw the massive demon shadow, the brothers each made their judgment. Though their terms differed, the essence was the same. It was the ultimate monster birthed by the Abyss, terrifying enough to pose a lethal threat even to True Gods.
"Brothers, I'm here to help you."
While Iliad and Terramus faced this Abyss Monarch without yet making a move, a giant Gold Coin exuding a chilling aura suddenly fell from the Void, crashing towards that still demon shadow with unstoppable force.
Clang~
The crisp, melodious sound of the Gold Coin shattering echoed. Though containing the full might of a True God, it merely caused the colossal demon shadow to raise an arm and grasp the Gold Coin.
As the shattering sound resounded, golden Divine Power radiance seeped through the fingers, causing not a bit of harm to the demon, leaving only a trace of frost on its skin.
"Terrifying, how do we fight this?"
Much like his brothers, the Ice Dragon, whose build was slightly more graceful and elegant, also appeared in the Abyss. This was the third True God, with a Divine Power radiance shining brilliantly even in the dim Void.
"Father!"
"Do we have to trouble Father with everything? What is the point of our Divine Enthronement then?"
When they saw the Abyss Monarch take steps towards them, as the Netherworld King, Terramus left a remark, then charged forward with his knife without hesitation.
"Indeed, that's the case."
As even his younger brother charged ahead, how could Terramus, the elder, stay put? Even knowing they'd be dreaming to defeat such an opponent in the Abyss, nobody expected them to win either.
"I'll join in too!"
Not hoping for their father's intervention, after seeing her two brothers charge forth, the relatively weaker Scadilo followed along. Even though she was weaker in both Divine Power Level and combat prowess, as a True God, she was still a combat-capable deity, not a mere decoration.
When three True Gods joined forces, even an Abyss Monarch could not easily defeat them. Moreover, these three True Gods, though lacking some Divine Power, were equipped with luxurious gear, enough to make even strong Divine Power covetous.
Rip--
While the three Holy Dragon's golden True Gods and the Abyss Demon Monarch were temporarily at a stalemate, the Void was once again torn apart. A Dragon Claw wrapped in blazing Sun Holy Flame protruded, followed by a majestic Dragon Head like a towering mountain.
"Father!"
At the sight of Noah's arrival, the three deities, who had been struggling under the Demon Monarch's offensive, were somewhat overjoyed, for the presence they faced was exceedingly terrifying.
It was a super monster with three heads and four arms, possessing characteristics similar to a Divine Calamity. From its back extended eight serpentine heads, all part of its body.
"Hold on, I'll be right there."
Upon seeing his offspring, who bore the brunt of the pressure after he descended into the Abyss, Noah's eyes showed a comforting look. After remote encouragement, Noah began attending to what he should do.
Assisting Uncle Casius, by the moment his legion, his children, and even himself descended, his task was already completed.
When he emerged, the mobilized forces of the Abyss would inevitably be impacted, such a diversion effectively eased the pressure, so now Noah sought to reap enough benefits.
Surely they couldn't just retreat with nothing but honors that couldn't be consumed or spent after deploying such a large-scale legion into the Abyss.
This legion's entry into the Abyss comes with substantial costs. Without sufficient benefits, why fight at all?
Noah's desired benefits weren't extensive, merely to follow his foster mother's example in tearing the Abyss. Despite the world remnants being broken, they weren't entirely useless. If they were utterly worthless, they wouldn't be able to birth demons, these creatures despised by deities.
"My Holy Sanctuary needs an expansion too!"
The foster mother had already demonstrated how to tear the Abyss. Noah emulated her steps and even began to guide the World Will to invest power,
"What form should it take? A Seven-Layered Heavenly Mountain or the Eighteen Layers of Hell?"
