Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 935 514: Descent, Plunder, Rebuilding the Holy Sanctuary

Chapter 935

No matter the reasons for their destruction and fall, the final resting place of worlds is inevitably the Abyss. With the passage of endless eras, the Abyss has become the greatest landfill in this Void, formed by countless world remnants.
However, from this land filled with despair and agony, devoid of hope and future, has spawned an endless horde of Demons. These creatures, filled with thoughts of destruction, annihilation, and slaughter, are the greatest external threat to the prosperous Material Plane.
The Divine detest these creatures as well, for to the Divine needing faith to forge their Immortality, threatening the Material World equates to threatening themselves.
Unfortunately, even the Divine find it difficult to resolve the issue of the Abyss, for the Abyss is unsolvable; as long as there is a world, there will be an Abyss.
But despite the unsolvable nature of the problem, waging war against the Abyss and striking down the exceedingly powerful Demon Lords that have arisen from it is a consensus among the Divine.
Throughout the lengthy history of wars spearheaded by the Divine against the lower Planes like the Abyss, more than one Divine has been tragically lost.
It wasn't due to ambush or Divine carelessness; it was on the front lines. Even True Gods who could exert their full power outside their Divine Country's protection were slain by formidable Demon Lords on the Abyss Battlefield.
The Abyss, though composed of shattered world ruins, is astoundingly large. Under such immense despair, it naturally breeds terrifying monsters that even the Divine fear.
However, these are extremely rare occurrences. Throughout history, although more than one Divine has fallen in the Abyss, in regular battles, a True God descending from the Abyss remains unbeatable, and ordinary Demon Lords are not even qualified to contend against them.
Not to mention, this time, emerging within the Abyss, wielding Divine Power, is a Death God from the Dragon Clan, a being of rule-breaking caliber.
Yet this True God's appearance is merely the beginning, and His arrival is just to clear the field. When one Demon Lord after another is torn to pieces beneath the Dragon Wings that exude the Spirit Light of death, the sky and earth around Him were immediately cleared.
Even many Demons controlled by the Abyss Will began to circumvent Him. Under Divine Power, Demons without the Abyss Will's protection fell silently before even getting close.
This is the terrifying nature of the Death God. Mortals actually have no chance of slaying a Death God; with just one glance, it's as if they face countless instant death attacks, unable to avoid such damage, and don't even have the privilege to challenge a Death God.
When the golden Death God descended at the edge of the Abyss and Hell battlefield, a vast empty area appeared, a point of golden light emerged, which then rapidly expanded and ignited, transforming into a blazing Sun.
Before long, this Sun began to morph and collapse inward, and space-time was interwoven, constructing a passage that crossed an endless distance.
An iron fortress, emanating a thick atmosphere of iron-blood and slaughter, appeared in a corner the moment the passage formed, then began moving slowly, gradually squeezing through.
"Floating City!"
As a towering iron fortress, tens of thousands of meters in radius, emerged above the Abyss, countless Demons with a shred of sanity fell silent, their hearts filled with fear.
The impact brought by the massive constructed Creation is incomparable to any naturally occurring celestial body, yet the appearance of the Floating City clearly triggered something.
Already agitated by the Hell invasion, the Abyss Will became even more frenzied; the demon tide originally besieging the Hell Legion was drawn away, with millions of winged Demons charging toward the Floating City in the sky.
Buzz~
With the Holy Day Core within the Floating City roaring, the spherical Energy Shield, which had perfectly enveloped the Floating City, thickened visibly; the highly dense energy began to solidify, taking on the unique texture of crystals.
Clap~ Clap~ Clap~
Demons crashed headlong into the Floating City's shield, like moths to a flame, disintegrating upon mere contact, their souls and flesh turning to ash, with no chance for resurrection.
Yet this scene did not ease the Battle Group of Dragon-men stationed in the Floating City. Though the Floating City's weaponry components were firing at full strength, with Yang Thunder Cannons and Neutron Light Spears unleashed without reservation, from the highest Legion Leader to the lowest reserve recruit, all the Dragon-men were prepared for close combat.
Because the Floating City's energy was being rapidly depleted, the recently thickened energy shield was disintegrating even faster, and before long, this horde of Demons would use their kin's lives to breach the shield and board the Floating City.
However, just as the energy reserves of this Floating City were about to drop below safety levels, a second Floating City had descended. Upon discovering its ally in crisis, the second Floating City unhesitatingly activated its main cannon.
Boom——
The second Floating City fired a solid shell, and at the moment this single shell disintegrated, it was as if a Void Storm had descended, unleashing obliterating gales. It annihilated the first Floating City's shield and the attached Demon swarm together.
