Chapter 328: Encountering A Familiar Stranger
(Dion’s POV)
"I am glad you all liked my class despite my lack of experience. This is my first time giving a lecture, you see. But unfortunately, ... I have an appointment with a very important person and need to be there," I told the class as I looked at Myra’s way secretively.
"Prof., if you don’t mind, do you have an appointment with your girlfriend?" someone bold from the crowd asked me. The sounds of ’ohhhhhh~’ and hooted followed this question.
A Cheshire cat like grin appeared on my lips as I answered with a, "Who knows?"
I couldn’t help but my eyes automatically shifted to the last row as I tried to observe Myra’s reaction. But I must say, she was doing an excellent job in concealing her expression. Half of her face was already covered with her locks, so it was hard to tell, even for me, what she was thinking.
I must admit that the previous hairstyle looked good on her as well, but this~ ... this really frames her face in a captivating way. He looks bolder and sexier in that.
The cheers intensified after listening to my suggestive words. Before they could ask anything more, I stated, "Okay~ okay~ ... time is up, everyone. I know you guys want this lecture to continue, but all good things must end, hmm~ .... Now, you may all disperse."
After saying my piece, I wasted no time and left the class. I could definitely feel the eyes on me, like always. But as my back was towards her, I couldn’t tell whether the one I wanted to gaze by, if she was looking at me or not."
As I walked out of the lecture hall, the professor who had introduced me to the class was waiting for me.
"Mr. Everests, you did a commendable job there. The students~ .... I can tell they loved and really enjoyed your class. Not even for a second could anyone say that it was your first time," she started praising me to the nines as the older lady gave me a polite yet genuine smile.
"Prof. Gill, you are giving me too much credit. The students were welcoming towards me. They listened well and were very active with their participation," I stated.
"You are not just a good speaker but a good person as well," she threw in another praise at me.
"Umm~ .... Prof. Gill, if you don’t mind, I need to be somewhere," I told her.
"Oh~ .... of course, of course. You must be really busy. Please, go ahead," the lady said with a kind tone.
After getting the green signal, I hastened out and waited for her to come out as well.

’Dion, where are you?’ Alaric mind link broke my and my wolf’s talk.
’I~ ... I am on my way to the hotel. What’s up?’ I inquired as I casually turned around and marched away.
’Come~ .... then we will talk,’ his voice sounded stern. After that, he disconnected the link.
’What can it be?’ Drey asked.
’How would I know? Let’s go and see what it is,’ I commented.

(Myra’s POV)
*Huff~ .... Huff .... Huff .... Huff* I scurried away after confronting Dion to god knows where. I just didn’t think much and ran away.
I ran and ran and ran and ended up in an unfamiliar place. My hands were on my knees as I tried to even out my breathing and calm myself. After a few seconds, I eventually calmed down, but my body was perspiring because of all the sprinting.
’What the hell was even that? What the fuck just happened? Did he~ ... did he find out or did he not?’ These questions ruminated inside my mind, making my head spin.
A heavy and exhaustion filled sigh escaped my mouth as I observed my surroundings. I had never seen such a place as this before, here or anywhere. I didn’t know such a picturesque place existed here.
A serene looking pathway of grass was between endless and densely packed beds of crimson, fuchsia, sunny yellow, royal blue and bright orange blossoms. It somehow made my heart beat even. After making sure that no one was there, I closed my eyes, plopped onto the grass bed and lay down.
I gazed at the bright and sunny sky and murmured lightly, "I gave him the wrong name. He surely wouldn’t find out. It is not as if I am of any importance to him or the Everests."
Rubbing my forehead, I recalled what just happened and thought, ’Why do I always run away whenever any of the Everests are nearby? In a fight or flight situation, why do I always end up fleeing? I really need to change this habit and act normally. And~ .... why does it even matter whether he has found me or not? My decision won’t change in any circumstance.’
I came with my family to Esteria to get away from all that werewolf and rival thing. I don’t want to be associated with them and be caught up in a war like tussle. I don’t want my family to be in danger. So, even if he confronts me. I can just tell him straight.
My thoughts were broken with a rustling sound as I went back to my alert mode. I immediately got up and even managed to snag a stick as I looked towards the source with narrowed eyes.
I saw clear movement from behind the tree trunk as I called out, "Who is it?"
A tall guy, wearing a navy hoodie and dark blue denims, stepped out from there. With a soft, gentle voice, he said, "I am sorry if I scared you," as he approached me.
He stared at my hand, which was holding the stick, and I noticed how his eyes flickered. But it was for just a brief moment. Clenching my hands tightly, I pressed my lips together and said, "Who are you? I have never seen you before."
His steps halted as he pointed towards his backpack and said, "I am a transfer student for the sports department. It is my first day in Red Stone, so I was just exploring the place and stumbled upon this grassy path. I never expected someone to be here." He even raised both his hands to show me he was harmless.
I relaxed a little, although in a corner of my mind, I wasn’t fully convinced by his words, especially because of his voice. It felt like I had heard it somewhere, but where~ ... I can’t remember.
He slowly resumed his steps and came closer, as he asked, "Did I disturb your rest? If you aren’t comfortable, I will go about my business." Saying this, he turned around and started walking, but feeling guilty, I instinctively called after him, "Wait~"
He stopped at my words, again turned around and asked, "Is there something you want to say?"
"I~ .... I am sorry. I overreacted," I apologized to him.
"No~ ... no~ .... It’s okay. It was I who intruded here," he spoke. His words made me even more regretful. "As I am new, I don’t have any friends yet. So, I was trying to find a tranquil space."
Licking my lips, I stepped forward and introduced myself as I extended my hand, "I am Myra Miracle from the Finance Department. Nice to meet you."
He gave me a very warm and charming smile as he shook my hand and said, "Myra~ ... I am Aamon~ .... Aamon Dimitri, a new transfer student from the Sports Department."
I noticed how hot his palm felt. It wasn’t warm ... but like literal heat was emitting from his skin. I pulled my hand back hastily as he scratched his neck and said, "I apologize. Whenever I am nervous, my body starts heating up on its own," he explained.
I didn’t know how to comment on that, so I just said, "Umm~ .... Aa~ Aamon, actually, I have a lecture coming up. So~ ... I have to go."
"Ahh~ .... ohh~ .... sure," saying this, he stepped aside like a gentleman. I gave him a polite smile and went on my way to the Finance Department.

(Author’s POV)
Aamon saw Myra’s departing figure and scoffed lightly, "Foolish human, she doesn’t seem anything special. Neither in the realm of nightmares nor in real life. No way, she can be compared to my ultimate queen. But I must say~ .... she is kind of cute when she is scared." His words were followed by a glint in his eyes and a devilish smile. "She will be easy to handle and break."

Myra somehow made her way back to the lecture hall and was dazed and distracted the whole class, expecting something to happen. But surprisingly, her lecture as well as the whole day went by quite smoothly, without any further interruption. She didn’t see Dion again, although wherever she went, conversations about ’Prof. Everests’ erupted.
Now the only thing that was left was the phone Amy had gifted her. She was carrying it in her bag with the packaging and wanted to return it.
Although Amy had insisted that Myra should keep it, but when Myra opened the box, she found that it was hell of expensive. The phone was even embedded with tiny jewels. She simply couldn’t take such a thing from someone she barely knows.
