Chapter 10: Chapter 10: She Regrets Provoking Him!
Eleanor Valerius behaved well under Sebastian Ford’s gaze.
Yet to him, this was clearly a deliberate provocation.
He was really teaching her.
Eleanor was indeed learning at first.
But it was difficult.
"Have you learned it?"
Sebastian released her, asking in a low voice.
Eleanor saw her own reflection in his eyes and pretended to be shy and said, "It’s a bit difficult, I can’t learn it in one go. Could you teach me a few more times, Master Ford?"
Tonight, she was doing it on purpose.
Because Sebastian had given her favorable signals.
"I can teach you."
Dangerous amusement filled Sebastian’s eyes.
Sounds from the backseat transmitted over.
Outside the car, Mason Monroe walked a little further away.
The night’s chill along the river was biting, and given his understanding of Master Ford, it would be a long wait.
The temperature inside the car slowly rose.
Eleanor felt somewhat scared, biting her red lips.
Since that night she deliberately provoked him, she was already mentally prepared.
No matter how beautiful the body was, it was just a short-lived bargaining chip, especially since Sebastian saved her twice tonight.
If he really was interested in her, she had to throw herself at him and seize the opportunity.
"Master Ford..."
Eleanor murmured unconsciously.
Suddenly, Sebastian kissed her lips, fingers threading through her hair, the mild pain stimulating her nerves.
"Eleanor Valerius, are you really willing?"
Eleanor’s tense spine trembled, convincing herself to go all out to please him.
"I am willing."
She closed her eyes, separating her conscious mind from her body.
Sebastian leaned down, examining her, not missing the flash of resigned compromise in Eleanor’s eyes.
While she said she was willing, her heart was unwilling.
Yet she acted willing in front of him, clearly having ulterior motives.
"The first time you climbed into my bed, you claimed it was a drunken mistake. What does tonight mean?"
Sebastian was a man with an absolute desire for control, abstaining even to the point of controlling his own thoughts.
"I said I wanted to be your secret lover, did you really think you could toy with me? Talking about marrying Jenson Lancaster while wanting to linger with me? But I’m not used to sharing with others."
Eleanor slowly opened her eyes, unease in her gaze.
"You’re interesting enough to pique my interest, enough for me to cooperate with your game, but my patience is limited and I get bored easily."
Sebastian noticed that Eleanor was merely acting in front of him.
Could he be so easily manipulated?
"Master Ford..."
Eleanor didn’t expect such intimacy to be a test from him.
Her fear was that he could easily guess her, as if he controlled her life and death.
"Eleanor Valerius, playing with fire can backfire. My interest in you will also become impatient."
His left hand, wearing a ring, rested against her neck, the pressure just enough for pleasure, too much for pain.
The danger and anger were instantaneous.
"Tell me, using your body as bait, what are you scheming for?"
Eleanor’s breathing suddenly quickened, not knowing how to lie and continue the game.
Suddenly, Mason ran over and knocked on the car window.
"Third Master, there’s an ambush."
Following this, the Silencer Gun swiftly pierced the night’s air.
Eleanor subconsciously turned her head in shock, just in time to see the bullet heading her way.
"Ah!"
She instinctively cried out, trying to avoid it.
However, the bullet was blocked outside the glass.
It turned out to be a bulletproof car!
Sebastian squinted, surprised that as soon as he returned home, both a woman in his bed and an assassination ambush appeared.
His second brother was surely trying to figure out who the woman he mentioned was, and now that woman was right in his car.
"Put on your clothes, things might get a bit exciting now."
Sebastian threw his jacket to her.
Eleanor hurried to dress herself, not expecting to encounter such danger by staying with Sebastian.
At night, the vehicle sped quickly along the road, heading to a deserted area.
"Eleanor Valerius."
Sebastian looked at the vehicles chasing from behind and suddenly asked her, "Have you decided how to answer?"
Eleanor froze, not expecting him to still want to question her.
"Master Ford, I’m just a small woman, how could I dare to plot against you?"
"That’s your answer?"
Sebastian lowered his eyelids lazily, looking at her, a light curve on his lips: "Have I been too gentle with you? When you provoked me, did you not consider who I am?"
Eleanor couldn’t read the emotions in his laughter, and was inexplicably terrified.
"You’re a good person."
She continued pretending to be obedient, trying to bluff her way through.
"Ha, do you have confidence in yourself or in me?"
Sebastian reached out and touched her face.
Eleanor froze, her heart jumping to her throat all at once.
Sebastian wasn’t teasing her; he was truly angry!
Suddenly, the fleeing vehicle abruptly halted.
The door opened.
Thrown out of the car, Eleanor was caught off guard, scared stiff.
The deep night, the chilly air.
Eleanor’s lonely figure stood in the middle of the road.
She heard a sound, turned around and saw the pursuing hitman vehicle speeding towards her, fear widening her eyes.
One moment, she was entangled with Sebastian, and the next, he had abandoned her!?
The next instant, Eleanor was fleeing with all her might down the desolate road in the night.
Should she thank Sebastian for ensuring she wore shoes before he tossed her out?
Otherwise, her feet might have been ruined running on the road.
She didn’t want to die!
She wanted to live, wanted to save her sister!
The intense survival instinct made her run until her chest hurt from the exertion, fear clouding her mind.
But how could she outrun a speeding car?
Eleanor was close to suffocating, her body suddenly losing strength, not knowing how she fell.
The hitmen closed in, the glaring headlights blinding her vision.
Eleanor thought she was done for!
At the critical moment.
The black van came back against the flow.
Sebastian wielded a gun, striding confidently over, with murderous intent, facing down the hitmen ambushing him.
Eleanor was terrified by the sharp gunfire and covered her ears, buzzing with tinnitus, collapsing her world.
She didn’t dare look back, smelling the thick scent of blood in the air.
Finally, the ear-piercing gunshots ceased.
Sebastian slowly walked up to Eleanor, still emanating unspent murderous intent from above.
"Eleanor Valerius, anyone daring to plot against me meets this kind of end."
Eleanor unconsciously looked up at Sebastian.
He was from hell.
This was the Aethelgard’s terrifying Reaper, for whom killing her was as simple as crushing an ant.
Eleanor trembled uncontrollably.
The warmth ignited within her by him froze over, spreading cold fear throughout her body.
She regretted it!
She should not have provoked Sebastian!
