Chapter 11: Chapter 11: She Wants to Run? Caught and Brought Back by Master Ford
Eleanor Valerius looked pale, collapsing on the ground, too weak to stand.
She was panting heavily, having been driven to despair by the hitmen’s pursuit, and now enveloped in the fear of Sebastian Ford’s gaze.
Her world had been hell before, but it had never contained anyone as terrifying as The Devil.
She was wrong.
How could she possibly play this game with Sebastian Ford?
At this moment, Mason Monroe came over to : "Third Master, the hitmen have been dealt with."
Hearing this, Eleanor Valerius seemed to imagine the scene, the stench of blood so intense that she couldn’t help but retch by the side.
More than anyone else, she wanted to live, to live freely.
However, Sebastian Ford could control her life.
How could she not regret it, how could she not be afraid of him?
Sebastian Ford placed his gun in the back waistband, crouched down by her side, and reached out to tuck the stray strands of her hair behind her ear.
But as soon as his fingertip touched her face,
Eleanor Valerius reacted like she’d been shocked, instinctively turning away to avoid his touch.
Was her reaction a sign that she loathed him?
Sebastian Ford narrowed his eyes, his fingers frozen in mid-air for a moment, before standing up and walking to the car to smoke.
Until the night wind completely sobered her.
Eleanor Valerius looked up at Sebastian Ford, still haunted by fear.
For the first time, she truly realized the fear of provoking the formidable Third Master Ford, known throughout Aethelgard.
Unable to provoke him, but able to avoid him.
Eleanor Valerius braced her arms, struggling to climb to her feet, her steps stiff as she walked back to the car.
Sebastian Ford then stubbed out his cigarette and got into the car.
He noticed Eleanor Valerius sitting tightly against the car window, keeping her distance from him.
The previous intimacy in the car had completely disappeared.
Sebastian Ford did it deliberately.
The sly little fox needed a scare for being so unruly.
...
Valerius Family.
"Madam, the third young lady has returned."
Regina Jennings sat in the living room, her expression displeased.
She was angry about Eleanor Valerius coming home late and not answering the phone, ready to punish her.
But unexpectedly, Eleanor Valerius walked in, followed by Sebastian Ford’s personal assistant, Mason Monroe.
Regina Jennings hurriedly stood up to ask, "Assistant Monroe, why did you bring my Eleanor home?"
She didn’t care about the injured, pale-faced Eleanor Valerius, but was concerned about whether she had any connection with Sebastian Ford.
"Mrs. Valerius, I happened to see Miss Valerius in a car accident and injured, so I took her to the hospital for a check-up and returned, hoping you won’t blame the third young lady."
After a reasonable explanation from Mason Monroe, he added, "Third Master is still at the company, so I’ll be leaving now."
Upon hearing this, Regina Jennings was visibly disappointed.
But thinking carefully, she also felt Eleanor Valerius couldn’t possibly have any private relationship with Sebastian Ford.
How could the Ford Family Head possibly fancy her?
Back in the bedroom.
Eleanor Valerius soaked in the bathtub, scrubbing away the marks left by Sebastian Ford.
Tonight, things were taken too far, now how could she pull away and escape?
...
Eleanor Valerius consciously or unconsciously avoided Sebastian Ford for three days.
Although he hadn’t sought her out, her heart remained anxious and restless.
That day, Jenson Lancaster asked her to join him in reserving a wedding venue at a hotel, also inviting Sharon Sinclair.
Eleanor Valerius dressed up beautifully, playing the role of a brainless vase sincerely.
Upon stepping into the most luxurious hotel in Aethelgard, her expression slightly changed.
This hotel was under the Ford Family.
She wouldn’t encounter Sebastian Ford here, would she?
"Master Ford is indeed here!"
Yet she hadn’t anticipated Jenson Lancaster deliberately came here, knowing Sebastian Ford would be here today.
Jenson Lancaster intended to use Eleanor Valerius to connect with the Ford Family before the wedding, making it easier to break off the engagement without needing a second marriage.
"Uncle is an elder, so mind your manners and understand the hierarchy."
At this point, Jenson Lancaster directly held Eleanor Valerius’s hand and walked over.
Beside them, Sharon Sinclair, full of jealousy, couldn’t help but stomp her foot in dissatisfaction.
Eleanor Valerius was caught off guard seeing Sebastian Ford in his suit handling business.
She was so nervous she held her breath slightly, her smile somewhat restrained.
"Uncle, you’re here too."
Jenson Lancaster, seeing her greeting, followed suit: "Master Ford, we’re here to look at wedding venues. This Ford Family hotel is the best in Aethelgard. I previously got your business card but didn’t dare disturb you easily. I’ll visit your company formally another day."
"Hmm."
Sebastian Ford, with a towering presence, his gaze intensified in pressure.
He noticed Eleanor Valerius avoiding eye contact.
He merely intended to scare her that night, not frighten away a little fox daring to plot against him?
"Little niece, if you’ve chosen a wedding venue, speak to the manager; the expenses will be charged to my account as a wedding gift from your uncle."
This pleased Jenson Lancaster immensely!
Saving over two hundred thousand was unexpected, at least the distant relationship with the Valerius Family had some use.
But Eleanor Valerius’s smile was calm: "Thank you, Uncle."
She wasn’t sure how to face him.
Sebastian Ford lowered his gaze at her, actively offering her an opportunity.
"Lunch is a gathering among the Ford Family; you should join."
"Of course, I should attend the Ford Family lunch."
Jenson Lancaster didn’t hesitate to push Eleanor Valerius towards Sebastian Ford, agreeing: "Sharon and I can handle the wedding details; you go have lunch with Master Ford, have a drink."
"I’m not feeling well, so I can’t drink."
Surprisingly, Eleanor Valerius opened her mouth to refuse.
She deliberately clung to Jenson Lancaster, boldly and capriciously insisting: "I want to be with you; having lunch isn’t as important as arranging my wedding venue, so we won’t disturb you."
Jenson Lancaster’s expression turned ugly, yet he dared not snap at Eleanor Valerius on the spot, forced to leave with a smile.
Behind them, Sebastian Ford’s gaze dangerously fixed on Eleanor Valerius.
This woman wanted to clear the boundary with him out of fear?
Having plotted against him, daring to climb into his bed, now scared and wanting to end it with escape?
She didn’t get to decide this game.
He wasn’t done playing, how dare she attempt to escape!
...
Eleanor Valerius knew Sebastian Ford surely was angry.
But she had no choice; she couldn’t continue playing that kind of game with him.
Yet now, Jenson Lancaster was also angry.
"You don’t even know how to seize the chance to accompany Master Ford for a social engagement!"
"Obviously, my wedding is more important."
Eleanor Valerius could only play headstrong, disguising her fear and avoidance of Sebastian Ford.
At this point, Sharon Sinclair couldn’t resist showing off, subtly rubbing her chest against Jenson Lancaster.
Jenson Lancaster, not wanting to truly arrange the wedding, was getting itchy because of Sharon Sinclair and straightforwardly lost his temper: "Set the venue yourself; I have things to handle, I’ll be back after I’m done."
He daringly took Sharon Sinclair to open a room right there for a tryst.
Eleanor Valerius pretended not to notice, superficially inspecting the wedding arrangements, yet she was also being perfunctory.
"Why is the little niece all alone preparing for a wedding?"
Upon hearing the familiar voice, Eleanor Valerius instinctively tightened, her eyes dodging as she avoided it.
"Jenson has work to handle; I can look over things myself."
"Is your fiancé busy definitely with work, or are you just pretending not to know?"
Sebastian Ford’s tall form approached her step by step.
"Uncle, I trust my fiancé."
Eleanor Valerius’s smile harmless, yet her steps were attempting to escape.
Suddenly, Sebastian Ford grabbed her wrist.
"The Ford Family members mustn’t be bullied. Don’t be afraid, I’ll take charge."
Before Eleanor Valerius could react, she was forcibly taken away by Sebastian Ford.
Upon reaching a hotel room.
Eleanor Valerius realized he was about to force her to witness infidelity, immediately struggling to refuse.
"No...let me go."
She knew that under these circumstances, catching Jenson Lancaster cheating meant she’d still have to marry him.
Most importantly, Sebastian Ford was testing her.
"Go in and see what your fiancé is busy with, then continue dreaming of marrying into a wealthy family."
Sebastian Ford intended to expose her excuse.
He knew Eleanor Valerius couldn’t be the love-struck type.
What’s her intent in avoiding him; was it a reverse strategy or a ploy of seduction?
"My matters have nothing to do with you; you can’t force me!"
For the first time, Eleanor Valerius fiercely resisted against Sebastian Ford.
Could she really like Jenson Lancaster?
For reasons unknown, Sebastian Ford seemed genuinely a bit angry.
He intensely pressured Eleanor Valerius to the room’s door, handing her the key card, and coldly commanded: "Open the door, go in and see!"
