Chapter 27: Chapter 27: I’ll Be Gentle, Don’t Dodge
At this moment, Eleanor Valerius seemed to stop breathing.
She felt Sebastian Ford’s powerful aura engulf her entirely.
Because of his appearance, all eyes of the Ford Family turned toward them, staring at her and Sebastian.
One standing, one kneeling—a stark contrast.
Until, as Sebastian’s long legs passed by her, without pause.
Eleanor’s heart skipped a beat.
She didn’t know if she was disappointed or relieved.
In front of everyone, their relationship could not be discovered.
Sebastian seemed not to notice Eleanor and strode into the dining room.
Originally, everyone was discussing Eleanor’s mistakes.
With his seat taken, people’s attention reverted back.
Sophia Ford wasn’t surprised by Sebastian’s indifference.
He was only interested in Eleanor’s appearance, having taken her to social events. Now, with her having no use, she was discarded.
Byron Ford absent-mindedly sipped his wine.
He was searching for which woman could be the lover hidden by the third brother.
But continually failed to identify the target.
Little did he know, Master Ford’s secret mistress was kneeling right in the garden outside.
The kneeling lasted longer and longer.
Eleanor hurt enough that she dared not move, relying on the numbness from pain to endure.
What tormented her wasn’t just the throbbing knee pain, but also the hunger from the drifting aroma.
At this time, Julian Ford kept glancing at Eleanor.
"If Eleanor keeps kneeling, her legs will be useless, what a pity."
Julian wanted to rescue Eleanor, hoping for her to repay him with her body.
"You dare plead for her!"
Sophia glared at her son, warning, "Julian, remember your status, she angered your father and brought it on herself."
"Mom, I understand."
But Julian couldn’t hide his lustful gaze towards Eleanor.
He didn’t notice a dangerous look filled with killing intent sweeping over him.
Sebastian elegantly dined, examining Julian’s covetous stare at Eleanor.
He did not look at Eleanor.
After three years abroad, despite his control over the Ford Family, the connections and ambitions of his elder sister and second brother were not to be underestimated.
Inside the family and company, many spies couldn’t be trusted.
When he took over the Ford Family, he promised Mr. Ford to maintain harmony within The Ford Family and had the ability to balance various forces.
He bore all responsibilities of the Ford Family, and his every move had significant consequences.
No one was worth breaking principles for, nor to compromise the identity of the Ford Family’s head.
Eleanor was no exception.
She deliberately erred this time and hadn’t sought him out for help; keeping their affair secret was their mutual understanding.
Hence, he would not save her.
Dinner ended.
Sebastian accompanied Mr. Ford to the study, casually mentioning: "Father, there’s no need to bother with the younger generation, it makes you seem unreasonable."
Mr. Ford nodded, indicating to the butler.
The butler came to end Eleanor’s punishment of kneeling.
At that moment, Julian conveniently encountered the matter and came to claim credit.
"Eleanor, it’s me who risked pleading to grandpa; he agreed to end your punishment. How will you thank me?"
Eleanor knew for sure it wasn’t Julian who did it.
"Thank you, cousin."
She tried to stand but her knees hurt to the point of having no strength.
Julian immediately came over to assist her.
Eleanor wanted to refuse, but the numbness and pain in her legs made standing almost impossible.
In a flash, Julian leaned close and sniffed hard.
Why did Eleanor have the scent of alcohol on her?
It seemed a bit like uncle’s bottle of red wine?
Seeing Julian reluctant to let go, Eleanor laughed and said, "I truly realized I was wrong tonight, thank you for pleading for me. I must personally thank grandpa; cousin should go together."
She used retreat as advance and instead grasped Julian’s arm.
Frightened, Julian quickly pulled away, saying, "No need to go to grandpa, you’re not well, go back, we can talk about repaying me next time."
No sign of Sebastian nearby, Eleanor stumbled back home.
...
Valerius Family.
Regina Jennings learned of tonight’s events.
Entering the door, Eleanor saw her second sister kneeling and pleading.
She lowered her head, switching her expression, walking slowly, hesitantly crying: "I’m sorry, mom, I won’t make mistakes again."
Regina was about to scold her, then noticed her dress was a limited edition from a certain brand.
"Who gifted you the dress?"
"Uncle saw me as embarrassing and rewarded it to me."
Eleanor feigned petulance, asking, "Mom, my knees hurt a lot, can I not go to the company tomorrow? I’m merely asked to make coffee, nothing substantial."
"Being near Sebastian, anything you do is an honor, how could you not go!"
Considering Eleanor’s value, Regina couldn’t lock her away, changing her tune: "Go back and rest, tomorrow go to the company."
Eleanor again used Sebastian’s name to protect herself.
Returning to her bedroom, she bathed and sat at the bedside.
Suddenly, her phone received a message from Sebastian.
[Come to the balcony.]
The balcony?
Eleanor was puzzled but obediently got up and walked over.
Looking out, she saw Sebastian lazily leaning against the car door, lifting his gaze to smile at her.
In the night, his face was enchanting and handsome, eyes deep and bewitching.
Eleanor was greatly surprised but dared not speak loudly, worried a servant might find out.
[What brings Master Ford here?] she replied.
[To have an affair.]
Sebastian walked to the spot below the balcony, reached out his arm, mouthing: "Jump down, I’ll catch you."
Eleanor had never done anything this rebellious.
He could catch her, but how would she return?
After thinking it over, Eleanor lightly shook her head and replied: [Can you come up?]
Seeing this, Sebastian raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
Just then Eleanor witnessed Sebastian agilely flip to the second-floor balcony, appearing in front of her.
"Wow, amazing."
She couldn’t help but softly admire.
Sebastian pinched her cheek, kissed her quickly, asking: "Inviting a wolf into the house, did you consider the consequences?"
"Weren’t you the one who came for an affair?"
Eleanor wasn’t afraid at all, unsatisfied, she retorted: "But how did you come empty-handed? I haven’t had dinner, I’m starving."
"Are you looking forward more to the affair or food?"
With a chuckle, Sebastian stroked her head, calling down to Mason Monroe waiting below: "Go buy some food."
"Such a good lover."
Eleanor willingly embraced him.
"A poor lover wouldn’t be called one?"
Sebastian walked into her room to look around, commenting: "A charming room for a niece, but I’m not sure if this bed is comfortable to sleep on."
Seeing his tall frame laying on her pink bed, the sight was quite peculiar.
It was her bedroom’s first time to have a man visit.
Despite having had close encounters with Sebastian before, for some reason his secret visit to her room made her heart miss a beat uncontrollably.
There was indeed a thrilling sense of a secret lover’s rendezvous.
"Come over."
Eleanor obediently walked over.
Seeing her struggle to walk properly, Sebastian took out an ointment.
Eleanor hesitated a moment.
She never expected Sebastian’s care, but feeling cared about struck an unusual chord.
Facing each other on the bed, their posture was intimate.
Sebastian lifted her nightgown, revealing the swollen bloodied knees.
The ointment melted in his palm, he pressed her knees to apply it.
Though prepared, Eleanor couldn’t help but shout from the pain.
In the quiet night, such a sound was easily noticeable.
"Is your room soundproofed well?"
Eleanor bit her lip, her body trembling.
"Hurt a lot? I’ll be gentler."
Sebastian seized Eleanor’s ankle, controlled his force to keep rubbing, saying: "Don’t resist, if you don’t want to be bedridden tomorrow, endure it now."
Eleanor struggled to contain herself, the suppressed groans leaking from her lips.
Sebastian’s breath deepened, his eyes gradually reddening.
"You scream like this, how can I bear it?"
