Chapter 41

Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Want to Change Lovers? Am I Not Enough for You?
Sebastian Ford laughed angrily.
"Assistant Valerius is unwell and needs someone to help her walk?"
Upon hearing this, Eleanor Valerius suddenly realized and hurriedly broke free from Damian Lowell’s support.
Damian, gently releasing her, looked up with a mild smile and asked, "Master Ford, anyone unaware might mistakenly think that Miss Valerius is scared because she saw you."
"Oh? Are you frightened?"
Sebastian squinted his eyes, a dangerous glint within them.
"No, just pleasantly surprised."
Eleanor took a deep breath and walked towards Sebastian, saying, "Was Mr. Ford worried about picking me up? I finished my check-up and I’m fine. I unexpectedly ran into Lawyer Lowell as I left; he only helped me briefly, so I haven’t thanked him yet."
Her words were full of explanations to distance herself from Damian Lowell.
And to hide Chloe’s presence here.
"Then I should thank Lawyer Lowell."
Sebastian didn’t overly question Eleanor’s appearance at the hospital.
The malice in his eyes was aimed at Damian Lowell, who repeatedly appeared by Eleanor’s side.
"You’re welcome."
Damian’s eyes, hidden behind lenses, were unfathomable.
Afterwards, Eleanor left with Sebastian.
He walked ahead silently, while she followed nervously.
It felt like being caught red-handed, anxious and flustered.
She wasn’t sure if that night’s punishment with Sebastian was because she saw Damian.
"Mr. Ford, I..."
Eleanor, after getting in the car, wanted to explain something but was suddenly imprisoned by his sharp gaze.
"Am I not satisfying enough for you?"
Sebastian sneered, casually replying, "Are you planning to keep another lover, or do you want to change? Assistant Valerius keeps saying she loves me, yet insists on making me a secondary choice, and now you want me to share you with another man?"
It sounded like a flirtatious reprimand, but it was all a warning.
"I never thought of replacing..."
Before she could finish speaking.
There was a sudden knock on the car window.
Eleanor turned to see Damian standing outside, immediately shocked and stunned.
What on earth is this Lawyer Lowell doing?!
Not even a friend, why is he persistently harassing her?
"Ha, is your new lover following you?"
Sebastian seemed provoked, possessiveness making him grip her tightly as he questioned.
In that instant, Eleanor reacted swiftly to resolve the situation.
As she opened the car window, she lunged forward to embrace Sebastian, kissing him fiercely and passionately.
Sebastian leaned back, clearly caught off guard by the forceful kiss.
This scene unfolded in Damian’s view.
He was very surprised, his smile frozen.
Sebastian suddenly felt pleased, holding Eleanor in his arms, indulging in a deep, passionate kiss.
With an audience watching, the public display of defiance was an even greater declaration of his ownership.
"Master Ford bullying Assistant Valerius, isn’t that a bit unfair?"
Damian didn’t want to continue watching and interrupted coldly.
Upon hearing this, Eleanor seemed impatient, retorting, "Mr. Lowell, being a lawyer, should be more precise in your words. Can’t you see? I’m the one impulsively kissing my Mr. Ford here."
Since Damian knew she was the canary in the qipao, he must have also guessed her true relationship with Sebastian.
Most importantly, she didn’t want to be punished by Sebastian anymore; placating him was her priority.
"Does Lawyer Lowell have anything else to say?"
Sebastian narrowed his eyes; Damian shouldn’t have known about him.
Yet the other man clearly had an interest in Eleanor, whether purposely approaching or attracted by her beauty, what’s his must not be touched by others.
"No, just saying hello."
As Eleanor was about to refuse Damian, her phone rang.
It was Regina Jennings, asking her to go to the Lancaster Family to discuss the wedding.
In the quiet space, the call wasn’t on speakerphone, but the other two could still hear the content.
"Master Ford still needs to return Miss Valerius to the Lancaster Family."
Damian hinted, "As a senior, you shouldn’t disrupt the happiness of the younger generation’s marriage; it wouldn’t sound good if word got out."
"Thank you for the concern, Lawyer Lowell. I’m aware of the boundaries, no need for your reminder."
Eleanor sat by the window, glaring at him, saying, "I hope you won’t meddle, nor come to disturb us again."
Having said that, she directly closed the window, signaling the driver to drive.
Sebastian lazily looked at her, wanting to see how she explained and reassured him.
"Mr. Ford, this Lawyer Lowell doesn’t seem like a good person. I’ll definitely turn away when I see him in the future."
Eleanor pouted cutely, cautiously observing his reaction, continuing, "I’ve deleted his number and won’t give him a chance to pester me again."
Suddenly, Sebastian pulled Eleanor into his lap, laughing softly in her ear.
"Are you so afraid of me getting angry?"
"Of course, you’re the man I love most."
Eleanor wrapped her arms around him, coquettishly pouting.
"You’re lying."
Sebastian laughed, his genuineness unclear.
"I’m not lying to you."
Eleanor leaned back, brushing her face against his chin, deliberately nibbling him shyly, "Wasn’t my proof on that night in bed enough? You know, my body is yours, unreservedly."
Sebastian stroked her head, as if petting a small creature.
"If you’re always as obedient as you are in bed, I’d be more satisfied with you."
"I’m naturally well-behaved, you have to trust me."
Eleanor nestled in his embrace, her soft bosom pressed against his chest, as if their heartbeats were responding to each other.
However, her heartbeat was rapid.
She was lying.
Her false pretenses were getting more skilled by the day.
But sleeping with a wolf always meant being devoured entirely.
"I’ll take you to the Lancaster Family."
Sebastian’s calm voice sounded like he had been appeased.
"No, don’t go!"
Eleanor continued to coquettishly complain, "I want to stay with Mr. Ford."
"You’re the Lancaster Family’s fiancée; I can’t keep monopolizing you."
Sebastian didn’t expose her tactics, letting her be.
...
Eleanor got out of the car.
The Lancaster Family, seeing the luxury car from the Ford Family, thought she gained a favor.
They couldn’t even imagine Sebastian himself had personally brought her.
Jenson Lancaster had no idea that the woman he looked down on was surrounded by two significant figures.
The pressure of the approaching wedding made Eleanor acutely aware of needing to secure Sebastian.
Evidently, the Lancaster Family had ulterior motives, supposedly discussing wedding matters, but actually wanting her to negotiate collaboration with the Ford Family.
Eleanor smiled, feigning ignorance, neither agreeing nor refusing.
In the evening, the Lancaster Family arranged dinner.
Eleanor never expected to see Damian sitting at the dining table.
The Lancaster Family, of course, wanted to flatter Lawyer Lowell, representing the Sinclair Family.
Such a coincidence.
Eleanor stood at the door, looking guardedly at Damian.
"Eleanor, come and sit down."
Regina Jennings was also there tonight; what she said, Eleanor didn’t dare defy.
Once seated, Eleanor deliberately avoided making eye contact with Damian.
"Miss Valerius, we meet again."
Damian looked at her with a smile, explaining to the puzzled viewers, "I’m quite familiar with Miss Valerius, and we even have each other’s contacts. Because of her, I wanted to meet with the Lancaster Family."
The Lancaster Family didn’t expect Eleanor to have such connections with Lawyer Lowell, pretending to welcome her as family.
The weight of the stares pressured Eleanor, causing her to merely purse her lips in silence.
Just then, a group of people emerged from the elevator.
Sebastian Ford’s commanding presence stood out unmistakably.
With a look, he sent Eleanor a meaningful glance.
Eleanor immediately held her breath.
Just that day in the car, she had reassured him, promising not to meet Damian again.
Yet that evening, he caught her dining with him.
"Uncle..."
Eleanor instinctively stood up.
However, Sebastian ignored her, turning away.
Was he abandoning her?!
