Seeing she wasn’t speaking, Yun Qi laughed again but didn’t say anything, just kept an eye on her expressions.
The first ten minutes or so were fairly normal, but after the tenth minute, Ye Lingran’s expression visibly tensed up. She was holding a popcorn but didn’t eat it. Suddenly, during a particularly scary scene, a girl sitting next to her screamed, startling Ye Lingran, who shuddered and let her popcorn fly, grabbing Yun Qi’s arm in fright. Turning to look at the girl who had already hidden in her boyfriend’s embrace, she couldn’t help but swallow nervously.

But the girl next to her was too jumpy. She had noticed it at the fifth minute, but it was still manageable as her attention was on the movie. If it weren’t for that scream, she wouldn’t have been so scared.
Yun Qi tilted his head to glance at the girl she mentioned. Seeing her snuggling in her boyfriend’s arms with her hand shielding her eyes, looking like she wanted to watch but didn’t dare to, he then observed Ye Lingran’s forced calm appearance and chuckled, "How about we switch seats? You sit here; it might be better."
"Okay." Ye Lingran found no reason to refuse Yun Qi’s suggestion. That girl was indeed a bit ’annoying,’ but she couldn’t say anything.
After they switched seats, Ye Lingran had just breathed a sigh of relief when Yun Qi suddenly leaned over, causing her heart to jump into her throat. She pressed her back firmly against the chair, eyes wide, not daring to make a sound. The familiar faint male scent gradually surrounded her nostrils, turning her mind blank.
But when Yun Qi leaned over, he paused for a second or two before picking up the coffee placed on the armrest of the chair to her left. He then slowly leaned back, took a slow sip of the coffee, raised his eyebrows, glanced at her very contentedly and nonchalantly before returning his gaze to the screen.
Seeing that he just got the coffee, Ye Lingran finally let out a breath of relief as her heart slowly settled back down, though her thoughts were a bit jumbled, making it hard to concentrate on the movie.
It wasn’t until halfway through the movie that she gradually gathered her thoughts and started watching again. However, the second half was even more thrilling, tightening her nerves once more. Seeing her tension, Yun Qi leaned over once again, gently pushing the milk tea in her hand to her lips, "The milk tea has gone cold, if you don’t drink it, it’ll chill your stomach."
"Uh... okay." Yun Qi’s interruption also soothed her nervousness, making her less tense, and she quietly finished her milk tea.
Once the movie finished, it was almost five o’clock. Ye Lingran wrapped her scarf around again, still holding half a bucket of popcorn. Due to the intense plot, she didn’t eat much during the movie. If it weren’t for the pregnancy reminder, she might have forgotten to drink the milk tea too.
"Uh... can you hold this for me? I need to go to the restroom." As they prepared to leave the theater, she handed him the popcorn and ran toward the restroom after speaking.
Yun Qi couldn’t help but chuckle, standing in place waiting for her. Perhaps it was due to the crowd in the theater, but Yun Qi hadn’t seen Ye Lingran return even after waiting for about five or six minutes.
