When Lu Shishu withdrew her gaze, she could hear the laughter of children coming from the private room. She opened the door and went inside. Many people were seated around the large table, all of them old acquaintances from her college days, teasing Lin Xuwan and Ling Xuyang’s son.
"Shi Shu, you finally arrived, we’ve been waiting for you." He Qianyue stood up and walked to her side, playfully scolding her with a smile.
Lu Shishu smiled faintly, her gaze ultimately falling on an incredibly familiar handsome face. Lu Shishu narrowed her eyes and a hint of displeasure flashed in her eyes.
Seemingly noticing Lu Shishu’s gaze, Lin Xuwan quickly carried her son to Lu Shishu, attempting to ease the atmosphere: "Lilin, come, let your godmother hold you. Is it that you haven’t seen your godmother for a long time?"

Meanwhile, Cen Jin, Lin Xuwan, He Qianyue, and the others were Lu Shishu’s closest friends. They had witnessed and truly felt for Lu Shishu through her pain and changes. As this gathering was hosted by He Qianyue, she drank the most with Lu Shishu. They shared amusing anecdotes and various work-related matters. Ultimately, even Cen Jin couldn’t avoid drinking, and after three glasses, she leaned directly into Jiang Baizhou’s embrace.
By the end of the gathering, Lin Xuwan and Ling Xuyang had to leave first due to their crying child being too small, then Jiang Baizhou took Cen Jin away.
In the end, only Nan Jiayan and Ming Haize remained to watch the drunken and slurring Lu Shishu, alongside He Qianyue who was uncomfortably lying on the table.
