My Antique Mirror Is A Portal To Another World-Chapter 489: Internet Service

Chapter 489

Chapter 489: Internet Service
"I will go first." Hua Yuyu took the dagger calmly, slashed his fingertip, and let his blood drip onto the black token.
Afterward, Wang Kaimu and the other three followed suit.
As the five of them began the binding process simultaneously, the pressure in the surroundings intensified, stirring violent turbulence in the thin spiritual energy in the air.
While the lake pavilion was shrouded in the scent of blood and thick golden light, far away in the Gui Clan’s secret realm, Gui Ying suddenly raised his head and looked toward the distant horizon.
Sitting on a meditation platform atop his flying mountain, Gui Ying frowned slightly as he sensed the fluctuation of spiritual energy in the distance.
"Isn’t that the direction of Xiqiang City?" Rubbing his chin, he muttered, "Could something have happened to Fairy Bai?"
After a moment of thought, Gui Ying snapped his fingers and disappeared.
Following the turbulence of spiritual energy, he arrived at the lake pavilion of the Great General’s mansion.
The instant he appeared, Gui Ying was stunned by seven space and time portals swirling in the air around the pavilion.
"Heavens! What are you all doing?!" he exclaimed in shock.
When his voice echoed through the surroundings, Bai Hanyun and the others turned around.
Seeing Gui Ying staring at the seven portals in disbelief, Bai Hanyun smiled and asked, "Gui Ying, why are you here? How is CEO Gui’s condition?"
Waving his hand casually, Gui Ying replied, "He is fine. But what is going on here? Are you all trying to destroy this world?"
Bai Hanyun watched as he examined the portals curiously and explained, "We are currently experimenting to see whether we can connect multiple space and time portals."
Hearing this, Gui Ying gave them a thumbs-up. "You all are even crazier than this young master."
Just then, his gaze landed on the phones placed on the round table. Noticing the Wi-Fi signal on the screens, his eyes lit up.
"This—! How do you have internet access?!" he exclaimed excitedly.
Grinning at him, Bai Hanyun pointed at the portal she had opened and said, "I connected this portal to my house in the modern world. Just as I expected, I can use the internet through it."
After hearing her explanation, Gui Ying studied the other portals thoughtfully.
A few seconds later, his eyes flickered. "Are you planning to establish internet service in this world, using space and time portals as gateways?"
Not surprised by his intelligence, Bai Hanyun nodded. "Yes."
Receiving her confirmation, Gui Ying became intrigued.
He sat down on a stool and asked, "That’s a fascinating idea. Fairy Bai, what do you plan to do after establishing the internet service in this world? Are you going to sell phones here?"
Bai Hanyun rubbed her chin thoughtfully at his questions. "It’s tempting, but my main purpose is to use modern technology to help with the war against the Jin Empire."
Since Gui Ying had remained in the Gui Clan’s secret realm after returning to this world, he was unaware of the current situation in the western region. However, based on what he already knew, he could easily guess the cause of the war.
Glancing at Feng Xiyan, he said calmly, "I see. So the Jin Emperor has finally made his move."
Smiling, he took out his phone from his spatial ring and added, "Fairy Bai, what’s the Wi-Fi password? Please share it with this young master."
Seeing his eager expression, Bai Hanyun laughed and took his phone. After connecting it to her home’s Wi-Fi, she returned it to him.
Watching Gui Ying immediately launch a game, Bai Hanyun joined the others and continued the experiment.
While they were busy, Gui Ying casually waved his sleeve.
In an instant, an invisible barrier spread above the Great General’s mansion. In less than ten seconds, it enveloped the entire estate, completely blocking the fluctuations of spiritual energy.
After Gui Ying finished three rounds of battles, Bai Hanyun announced with satisfaction, "It’s done!"
Looking up from his phone, Gui Ying asked, "You managed to connect the portals?"
Bai Hanyun nodded. "Yes. Now we just need to set up the receiver and broadcasting towers and test whether the connection works over long distances."
Turning to Hua Yuyu, she asked, "Brother Hua, do you have the list of items needed to build the receiver and broadcasting towers?"
"I brought them with me," Hua Yuyu replied, taking a large number of items out of his Qiankun Pouch.
While Wu Jun and the others assembled the portable towers, Hua Yuyu said, "Miss Bai, we will close our own portals and use yours as the headquarters."
Bai Hanyun nodded. "Understood."
Turning to the others, Hua Yuyu ordered, "Close the space and time portals."
"Yes, Captain."
Following his instructions, everyone closed their portals, including Feng Xiyan, who remained seated and silently watched them work.
With only one portal left open, Hua Yuyu helped the others construct the portable towers.
Half an hour later, nine portable towers were completed.
Distributing them among his team, Hua Yuyu said, "Miss Bai, we will set these towers up outside Xiqiang City. Their maximum range is seventy kilometers, with Xiqiang City as the center."
Pointing at the largest tower, he continued, "This will be the main tower. Wu Jun and Shengjie will stay here to set it up."
Wu Jun and Bao Shengjie nodded.
"Yes, Captain."
"Yes, Elder Brother Yu."
After assigning the tasks, Hua Yuyu said to the others, "Let’s split up. Each of us will head in a different direction to set up the towers."
"Yes, Captain," Gao Gong and the others replied in unison.
Once everything was finalized, Hua Yuyu and his team took their phones and left the Great General’s mansion.
After they departed, Bai Hanyun turned to Feng Xiyan and asked, "Feng Xiyan, where is the safest and tallest place in Xiqiang City?"
Feng Xiyan thought for a moment before replying, "The tallest structure is the watchtower. As for safety, the garrison would be best. Most of the Feng Army’s affairs are handled in the barracks, so the garrison has been abandoned for a long time."
Hearing this, Bai Hanyun’s eyes lit up.
Closing the space and time portal, she put away her phone, grabbed Feng Xiyan’s hand, and said excitedly, "That’s it! Feng Xiyan, let’s go to the garrison!"
Knowing she intended to use it as headquarters, Feng Xiyan nodded. "Alright."
Before long, they left the Great General’s mansion in a carriage, with Feng Xiyan leading the way on his warhorse.
