Chapter 48: You’re so weak
The rain that fell this evening continued until late at night.
Xia Li glanced at the time on the wall clock; it was already 9:30 p.m.
It was the limit of Xia Li’s sleep mode.
Unlike most young people who stay up all night, Xia Li had lived a life of sunrise and sunset for three years in Azure Continent, a proper elderly person’s biological clock.
“The rain probably won’t stop.”
Xia Li checked the weather forecast on his phone and confirmed this information.
Lucia stood at the junction of the living room and balcony, looking up at the unfamiliar sky.
It’s raining again…
Then how could she sleep?
Xia Li had said that she couldn’t sleep on the balcony when it rained.
Lucia came to her dragon’s lair, which had been moved indoors by the two of them. Because it was already a bit late when they discovered it was raining, half of Lucia’s dragon’s lair was unfortunately wet.
If she used that legendary ‘hair dryer’ magic… It should be able to dry thoroughly.
Lucia remembered that the hair dryer was in the bathroom and turned to go.
“Forget it, spare my almost-retired hair dryer.”
Xia Li had anticipated the evil dragon’s intentions one step ahead.
With the firepower and power of his hair dryer… It would probably go on strike in ten minutes.
“You sleep in my room tonight.”
Xia Li sighed and compromised.
There was only one big bed and a camp bed in the house, as well as a two-seater sofa.
Given that the camp bed was temporarily out of the question, the only places to sleep were Xia Li’s room and the sofa in the living room.
Xia Li automatically assigned himself to the sofa.
It wasn’t that he was feeling sorry for the evil dragon or anything…
Mainly…
Forget it, he couldn’t find an excuse.
In short, it wasn’t appropriate.
Xia Li led Lucia to his bedroom.
It wasn’t the first or second time Lucia had entered the ‘Brave Hero’s Lair,’ but it was the second time she had lain on the Brave Hero’s bed.
The first time was to hide from that great human.
The second time… Hmm, it seemed like she was going to sleep here?
Lucia pounced like a cat, burying herself in Xia Li’s bedding, then wriggled like a maggot inside.
“It smells like Xia Li…” Lucia’s evil worm voice came from inside.
“Don’t slander me!”
Xia Li thought to himself, how could there be a smell?
He clearly showered every day.
Moreover, craftsmen never did crafts in bed.
However, considering the sensitivity of a dragon’s nose, Xia Li went to Lucia’s camp bed and brought her own bedding over.
Fortunately, the bedding had been placed inside before and wasn’t too wet from the rain, so sleeping on it for one night wouldn’t be a problem.
“You cover yourself with your own, give mine back to me.”
Xia Li tugged at his bedding and peeled Lucia out of the quilt like a mango.
Lucia grunted twice and was forced to let go.
She hadn’t even had time to leave her scent on it yet!
“The bed is yours, call me if you need anything… You can’t rummage through the cabinets, and you can’t turn on the computer without permission, understand?”
“Oh…”
Lucia didn’t know how to use a computer at all.
As for the cabinets in Xia Li’s room…
They must be treasure chests.
She had wanted to explore them, but since she had been warned, she would explore them next time.
The goal this time was still to stain the Brave Hero Xia Li with her scent.
First… Start with the sheets!
As everyone knows, dragons have a strong sense of territory, and their way of dividing territory is through magic and scent.
Lucia’s subconscious had already developed the idea that ‘Xia Li is an inseparable part of her territory,’ so marking it with her scent was a very necessary thing.
But how could Xia Li know such a thing?
He only felt that Lucia, who said his bed smelled and then rubbed against it… Had a bit of a strange hobby.
Putting aside his thoughts, Xia Li left with his quilt.
◈◈◈
He took a shower in the bathroom and when he returned to his room, he called Lucia, who was wriggling on his bed, to take a shower.
“You’ll become a stinky dragon if you don’t shower,” Xia Li said seriously.
Before coming to Earth, Lucia’s bathing cycle could be calculated in months.
In fact, most dragons didn’t shower once a year. Silver dragons like Lucia, with their beautiful scales and love of cleanliness, were already the most diligent group among dragons.
“It’s so troublesome that Earth doesn’t have cleaning magic…”
Lucia muttered and had to get out of bed to put on her flip-flops.
‘Showering every day’ was simply torture for dragons!
If she washed herself clean every day, how could she stain Xia Li with her scent?
“You haven’t washed your hair in two days, you have to wash it tonight,” Xia Li added.
Lucia nodded vigorously while thinking resentfully.
She said the most cowardly words in the fiercest tone.
“Wash it, wash it.”
Being human was so troublesome, there were endless things to wash every day.
“Take your towel.”
Xia Li threw Lucia’s Little Yellow Duck bath towel on her face, and Lucia walked into the bathroom with the towel hanging on her.
On the living room sofa, Xia Li tossed and turned as he listened to the sound of rushing water coming from the bathroom.
He wondered if Lucia could tell the difference between shampoo and shower gel; then he thought this guy would definitely get foam in her eyes while washing her hair.
She wouldn’t be unable to open her eyes, run around in the bathroom, and then fall, would she?
It was easy to have an accident from slipping in the bathroom.
Xia Li felt as anxious as an old father.
The more he thought about it, the less sleepy he felt, so he got up from the sofa and tiptoed to the bathroom door.
The bathroom door in Xia Li’s house was frosted glass, and from the doorway, he could see the dense fog and a faint human figure.
He waited for about ten minutes, and when he heard the sound of the shower being turned off, Xia Li sneaked back to the sofa.
“Click.”
The bathroom door opened, and Xia Li lay down as if nothing had happened, closing his eyes and pretending to sleep.
He heard Lucia’s wet footsteps coming closer and then moving away. After the sound of a hair dryer blowing hair came from the room, Xia Li opened one eye.
Very good, at least the evil dragon knew to dry her hair after washing it.
It seemed that his guidance these past few days had been effective.
Patiently, Xia Li waited until the buzzing sound of the hair dryer in the room stopped, then he slapped his thigh and said in a ‘I knew it’ tone as he walked over.
“Don’t get too close, hold it a little further away when you’re drying your hair. The high temperature will trigger its overheat protection.”
Xia Li came to the door of the room as a matter of course, arms crossed, leaning against the door frame.
Lucia was sitting on the bed in the room, wearing loose pajamas.
Her long, black hair was still dripping with water, her skin flushed pink after the bath, and she was looking back at Xia Li with clear eyes.
Why did the evil dragon look so fragrant and soft after taking a bath?
Xia Li thought to himself.
Clearly, dragons were all bald, so why did they have so much hair after transforming into human form?
With this amount of hair, wouldn’t it randomly make a programmer envious to death?
Lucia was holding the hair dryer in one hand, pointing it at her forehead, and using her other arm to gather her soft black hair.
Because she had so much hair, the strands were tangled into a dead knot in Lucia’s hand.
#Evil Dragon Lucia is sending you a distress signal#
Looking at the pleading eyes directed at him, Xia Li had no choice but to walk over.
How could she be so clumsy…
A Silver Dragon who could get tangled in her own hair… Why wasn’t she this weak when he fought her before?
Now that she was on Earth, she was as weak as a little chick, the kind that looked easy to bully at first glance.
Xia Li sighed and walked over.
“I’ll blow-dry it for you.”
