Chapter 422: Chapter 249: Two Cool Kids, Both Lacking Friends (Part 3)
Marcus Shaw was extremely upset and frowned, asking back, "Is there any difference between her and a kid?"
"If you put it that way..."
Oliver Scott was displeased.
His sister...after all, she was the legendary God Z who had done many big things, how could she be compared to a kid.
However, the stove in Marcus Shaw’s kitchen was still on fire, and he didn’t want to keep bickering, so he turned and went into the kitchen.
Oliver Scott wanted to follow, but after just two steps, he almost got his nose hit by the closing door.
Nora Scott, lazily leaning on the sofa, raised her eyebrows when she saw this and asked, "Did you get told off?"
"Yeah."
Oliver Scott turned around and scratched his head.
Looking down at the chips in his hand, Nora sighed softly, placing them back on the coffee table, seeming both to complain and feel helpless, "Last time I ate too many snacks, skipped half a bowl of rice, and he was in a bad mood for the entire day."
"Does he get mad at you too?"
Oliver Scott curiously moved closer and asked like a guilty thief.
Nora inexplicably responded, "Who doesn’t he get mad at?"
"..."
True, it made sense.
However, no cook would want their dishes to be defeated by junk food...
Marcus Shaw’s reaction was understandable.
*
In the evening, after dinner, Nora asked Oliver Scott and Marcus Shaw to bring all the special local products from the car.
The two tall guys with long legs walked back and forth three times to get everything inside.
"I guess I believe now that she actually drove back from Yangel."
After placing the last box of ham on the ground, Oliver Scott took a breath and sat directly on the floor, fanning himself with his hand.
Along the way, she got a specialty from each city they passed.
Marcus Shaw made no comment, squatting down to organize the pile of local products.
Seeing this, Oliver Scott asked, "What are you doing?"
"Sorting a set to give to the neighbors."
"Did she say that?"
"Yeah."
"Where is she?"
"Taking a shower."
"Oh."
Oliver Scott nodded and voluntarily helped Marcus Shaw sort through the local products.
As the one who backs out of hands-on tasks, Nora emerged from her shower, glanced around the living room, and walked over to find two long wooden boxes from one of the cardboard boxes.
Having eaten and drunk her fill, Rose suddenly appeared out of nowhere, jumping up and down, excitedly meowing non-stop.
"Where’s the kid?"
Thinking of the little one, Nora casually asked.
Wiping a bit of sweat from his forehead, Oliver Scott replied, "In Marcus Shaw’s room, doing exercises."
Looking at the two high school students who would face the college entrance exam next year but showed no sense of urgency, Nora raised an eyebrow, "Does preschool homework demand more than yours?"
Oliver Scott replied, "He wants to learn Olympiad math, voluntarily adds extra work."
"...Oh."
Having never studied such things, Nora responded with a lack of interest.
She picked out a few items from the box, selected two, and tossed them to Marcus Shaw and Oliver Scott.
"Gifts."
Based on their preferences.
For Marcus Shaw, it was the latest limited-edition game console.
Originally bought by Benjamin Durant, who was just following a trend. Anyway, since Benjamin wasn’t good at gaming, Miguel Smith said he was wasting it, so Nora took it by force.
For Oliver Scott, it was a tank model Nora grabbed from the Tofu Shop.
Still wooden, with hidden mechanisms that would keep Oliver Scott busy for a while. However, to avoid trouble due to Master Sliver’s identity, Nora specifically chose one without the ginkgo leaf pattern.
"Thanks, sis!"
As soon as he received the tank model, Oliver Scott noticed the hidden surprise inside and joyfully thanked Nora.
In contrast, Marcus Shaw’s reaction was much colder and stiffer. After hesitating for a while, he awkwardly muttered a "thanks."
Upon hearing that, Nora shot him a surprised glance, as if it was unexpected.
Jiggling the two long wooden boxes in her hand, Nora walked toward the door, "I’ll run over to the neighbors."
"Okay."
Oliver Scott responded.
Nora and Pedro Langley’s relationship was no longer a secret.
Moreover, the two had flaunted their romance to the whole nation...
A relationship enviably good.
*
Pedro Langley rushed back from the neighboring city.
After finishing a meeting, he drove fast and arrived at Cloudwater Haven at about eight.
The living room lights were on, and Nora’s shoes were at the entryway, but after scanning the living room, Pedro didn’t see Nora.
His gaze paused, landing on the study door, where the light was bright.
Just then, Nora strolled to the doorway in her slippers.
Wearing a casual long dress, holding a pack of beef jerky with one piece in her mouth, she casually greeted, "You’re back?"
"Yeah."
Glancing into the study, Nora asked, "Why is your study full of my books?"
"Makes it easier for me to show off."
Pedro shamelessly answered.
