Player’s Guide to Raising a BUG Angel-Chapter 47 : GM Spat Blood! The Plan Collapsed Again!

Chapter 47

Chapter 47: GM Spat Blood! The Plan Collapsed Again!
“No!”
Hearing the words “Dragon’s Lair,” Mophis reacted like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
Her hair bristled instantly, and she blurted out without thinking.
What kind of joke was this!
Go back to the Dragon’s Lair with you?
Wasn’t that walking right into the tiger’s den? Wasn’t that the same as being locked inside a cave piled with gold and treasure, stared at every day with those “admiring the collection” eyes of yours?
Just imagining that kind of life made her shiver from head to toe.
She would rather stay in this gaudy, glittering doghouse, full of nouveau riche vibes!
“Oh?”
Ignis looked at Mophis’s fierce reaction.
A glimmer of amusement flashed in her golden pupils.
She withdrew her finger, leisurely folded her arms, and gazed down at her from above.
“Unwilling?”
“Why? My Dragon’s Lair is the safest, most splendid place in this world.
Every collection inside is priceless.
Letting you live there is the highest honor I can bestow upon this ‘treasure.’”
Mophis looked at her expression, which carried an unquestionable sense of entitlement, and felt that it was impossible to communicate with her.
This woman’s way of thinking was entirely dragon logic.
In her eyes, locking something she liked into her treasure hoard was the best form of “protection.”
Mophis took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down.
She knew reasoning with this domineering dragoness was impossible.
She could only follow the other’s logic and try to persuade her.
“Here…”
Mophis stretched out her hand, looking around the room that had been remodeled beyond recognition.
Her gaze then fell on the book casually tossed by the bedside—《The First Song》.
“…is my ‘workshop.’”
“Workshop?” Ignis raised an eyebrow.
“Yes.” Mophis nodded, then began to make up nonsense with a straight face.
“I need to study these ancient pieces of knowledge here in order to ‘create’ the… ‘miracles’ you’ve seen.”
She pointed at the ancient tome, her expression grave.
“If I leave this place, if I leave this ‘knowledge,’ I’ll become nothing more than a common porcelain vase… fragile and breakable.
By then, I’ll no longer be a ‘treasure.’”
These words successfully made Ignis fall into deep thought.
She glanced at the tome faintly glowing with light, then looked back at Mophis.
It seemed… to make some sense.
Though greedy, she was not foolish.
She knew that an alchemist needed a laboratory.
A master craftsman needed a workshop.
And this “treasure,” capable of creating “miracles,” had her “workshop” right here in this library.
If she truly took her back to the Dragon’s Lair and cut her off from this “knowledge,” resulting in her being unable to create those soul-shaking “songs”…
That would indeed be a loss outweighing the gain.
“Hmph.”
Ignis brooded for a moment, then unwillingly accepted this reasoning.
“Fine.
Since you put it that way, I’ll temporarily allow you to stay in this shabby place.”
She paused, golden pupils flashing with imperious dominance.
“But, as the price, starting today, every single day, you must ‘sing’ once for me.”
“I want to witness with my own eyes how you create ‘miracles.’”
Once every day?
And singing?
What did she think this was, karaoke song requests? Something you could just do on demand?
That thing consumed mental energy! It could kill people!
Mophis’s face instantly collapsed.
Yet, before she could protest, Ignis had already turned around, striding forward with elegant steps.
“That’s settled.”
“Now, I’m going to rest.
Before I wake, no one is allowed to disturb me.”
After saying this, she lay down on her side right beside Mophis, pulling over a luxuriously embroidered silk blanket from who knows where, covering herself, and closing her eyes.
A few seconds later, calm and long breaths filled the room.
She… fell asleep just like that?
She’s sleeping on my bed—where am I supposed to sleep?
Well… I guess my bed is already gone.
This big one is something she dragged here anyway.
Mophis looked at the fiery figure before her—tempting, yet radiating a “keep away” aura—and for a moment was utterly speechless.
Her heart felt utterly weary.
She tiptoed off the absurdly oversized bed, put on her shoes, and prepared to escape this suffocating “vault.”
She needed to read some books and calm down.

Meanwhile, in the Huaxia Region operations center of 《Aincrad Era》.
The top-floor meeting room was deathly silent.
The chief overseer, 【Pangu】, together with a group of GMs, stared blankly at the enormous data-monitoring screen before them.
The screen was looping the events that had just unfolded in the Western Wasteland.
From Mophis’s “Holy Descent,” to Ignis’s “wager,” then to that miraculous “recitation performance,” and finally, frozen on the frame of Ignis carrying the unconscious Mophis into the library in a “princess carry.”
In the entire meeting room, only the sound of heavy breathing could be heard.
“Who… who can tell me…”
【Pangu】’s voice was dry, hoarse, filled with boundless exhaustion and confusion.
“What… on earth… is going on?”
No one answered.
Because everyone present, including himself, was still in a mental crash state.
The carefully plotted second chapter of the main storyline, meant to distract players and interrupt their “lewd” progress…
That world-ending, catastrophic-level World Boss…
The Golden Dragon King, Ignis…
Was just… persuaded?
Not only did she not destroy the library, she actually… moved in?
And became that BUG’s… personal bodyguard?
“, Manager…”
A GM in charge of data monitoring stood up trembling.
“Just now… the forum traffic has once again… once again shattered historical records.”
“Threads about the ‘Dragon Concubine CP’ have already flooded the boards.”
“And… and players have spontaneously formed a ‘Dragon Concubine Faction Support Club,’ and are currently holding a server-wide lottery event to ‘celebrate the Dragon King’s move into the library.’”
“In addition, because of the Dragon King’s residence, the Forgotten Library’s ‘safety rating’ has automatically been determined by the system as ‘Absolute Safety.’ Now, countless life-skill players and casual players tired of fighting are flooding toward the Western Wasteland, preparing to… settle around the library.”
“The land price in the Western Wasteland… has multiplied a hundredfold… in just ten minutes.”
“Pfft—”
【Pangu】 could no longer hold it in.
He spat a mouthful of blood directly onto the conference table.
The plan… once again, collapsed in an even more absurd, more incomprehensible way than before!
He had wanted to use the Dragon King to interrupt the players’ “lewdness.”
But instead, the players turned the Dragon King into the most important, most explosive part of their “lewdness carnival!”
Far from being scared away, they were more passionate than ever thanks to the Dragon King’s “move-in!”
That little Forgotten Library had now nearly developed into the most prosperous, most bustling… player city in the entire game world!
And all of this was because of that BUG! That damned BUG called “Mophis”!
“Manager! Manager, are you okay?”
“Hurry! Call the medical team!”
The meeting room descended into chaos.
【Pangu】 waved his hand, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and, eyes bloodshot, fixed his death stare on the cold and beautiful figure on the screen—the one he hated so much his teeth itched.
He knew now that conventional methods were useless against her.
Send monsters to besiege her, and the monsters would become her “knights.”
Send catastrophes to destroy her, and the catastrophes would become her “guardians.”
This BUG seemed to possess a strange power, capable of turning every “malice” aimed at her into “nourishment” that made her stronger, more popular.
This couldn’t go on.
If it continued, this game might as well change its name to “Mophis Online.”
“Since… conventional methods don’t work…”
A glint of unprecedented madness and resolve shone in 【Pangu】’s eyes.
“Then… let’s use… a different approach!”
He lifted his head, looking at the group of panicked GMs, his voice as cold as if from the deepest abyss.
“Transmit my command.”
“Immediately prepare the next… version update.”
“Update content—”
“Unlock the ‘Player-Created City-State’ system!”
