Rise of the Lustful Evil Monarch (Re)-Chapter 451: Fighting a Deacon
Chapter 451: Fighting a Deacon
Third Person’s POV
But seeing that cowardly, pathetic look, combined with the humiliation of being dragged through the mud in front of so many young students, something inside the bulky deacon snapped.
He now no longer cared about currying favor with this young demon lord, and without hesitation, he raised his arm and delivered a perfect, brutal backhanded slap across Jack’s face.
It was a normal slap and was not augmented by mana
Still, the sound echoed sharply through the garden as Jack’s body flew sideways and crashed into a nearby puddle, where he finally lost consciousness.
It was only then that Jack’s underlings seemed to remember their roles.
Shivering, they rushed forward in a panic as they scrambled into the muddy trench and awkwardly hoisted Jack’s broken, unconscious body onto their shoulders.
Their faces were flushed with shame due to the brutal beating their young lord had suffered, and fear for the future punishment they would get from the young lord and the Wilds family.
Just thinking about that, they shivered in fear as they avoided everyone’s gaze.
Without daring to linger, they hurried toward the black tower, desperate to escape the stares of the crowd and tend to Jack’s injuries in private.
Meanwhile, Ethan landed smoothly on the ground.
The dark wings behind him dissolved into a swirling cloud of shadow before sinking back into his body, leaving no trace behind.
This sight caused another wave of surprise to ripple through the onlookers.
And many realized then that they had not clearly seen the wings when they first appeared, and only now understood that they were not natural wings at all, but a manifestation of a magical spell.
Remembering the terrifying speed and precision of Ethan’s flight, several people couldn’t help but marvel as even races born with wings rarely possessed such overwhelming mobility and control, yet a mere spell had allowed Ethan to move like a nightmare in the air.
However, their stunned thoughts were cut short when the bulky deacon finally stood up fully with mud dripping from his robes and hair.
His anger boiled over as he fixed his glare on Ethan, his voice rumbling low and heavy with authority.
"You will be punished for your reckless and arrogant behavior," he declared coldly.
"Since you show no respect for anyone, not your elders, nor the rules of the Sanctum which we enforce, and even dare commit such filthy acts by going after another man’s woman, I will personally teach you manners and deal you the punishment you deserve."
He paused briefly as his eyes hardened and his harsh face stilled.
"I will do so in place of your parents, who were clearly too inept to teach you how to behave."
The moment those words left his mouth, the careless expression on Ethan’s face vanished completely.
His gaze hardened and turned into something cold and dangerous.
If the deacon had merely slandered him by choosing to believe Jack’s lies, Ethan might not have reacted so strongly.
But the instant his parents were dragged into it, Ethan made a decision that this man would be taught properly, and he would not forget the lesson that he would teach him.
Ethan had already made up his mind.
He would strip away the illusion of superiority this man carried so proudly, the way he looked down on others as if authority alone made him untouchable.
As for whatever punishment awaited him afterward, it no longer mattered.
He had already crossed the line the moment he beat Jack senseless in front of everyone, and whether he humbled this bulky deacon as well or not, the consequences would be the same.
There was no reason to hold back anymore.
Across the square, the men in the crowd once again wore eager smiles.
Many clenched their fists unconsciously with excitement glittering in their eyes as they imagined the arrogant Ethan finally being crushed and humiliated by a fully enraged deacon.
To them, this was the inevitable end of a reckless upstart.
In contrast, the girls’ flushed and zealous expressions faded rapidly.
Their faces paled as worry crept back in, and fear tightened their chests as they watched the situation spiral further out of control.
The thought of Ethan facing a deacon head-on sent a chill through them.
Among them, the beautiful red-haired Infernal girl watched with her glowing lava eyes.
Instead of fear, anticipation stirred in her chest, and she sensed that she was about to witness more of Ethan’s true capabilities.
After all, he had defeated Jack with shocking ease without revealing any of his clear core magic spells or bloodline talent that he definitely had.
As a vampire, his blood magic alone should be deep, ancient, and unfathomably dangerous, or so she assumed.
She wanted to see it.
Meanwhile, the dark-haired young man from the Abyssal Dominion’s shadowed clan finally lost his bored indifference.
A faint glimmer of interest appeared in his eyes as he rested his chin against his hand, his gaze sharpening while he studied Ethan more closely than before.
Lucy’s worry swelled again as the deacon’s threat echoed in her mind.
Her fingers trembled slightly, but Virelle tightened her grip on Lucy’s hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze as she softly told her not to underestimate Ethan’s strength or resilience.
Yet even as she spoke, Velcy noticed the hidden tension in Virelle’s beautiful red eyes.
It was not fear of Ethan losing but fear of what awaited him afterward.
The iron rules of the Sanctum were merciless, and Virelle knew that no amount of strength could fully erase the weight of institutional punishment.
Then, to everyone’s astonishment, the bulky deacon began to change.
A dull, thick, and heavy earthy yellow light seeped from his body, as if the ground itself was responding to his presence.
Within a few moments, countless motes of dusky yellow light were drawn from the surroundings and converged around his muddy figure in slow, spiraling streams.
The air itself seemed to grow dense and dusty.
