Chapter 130 : If extra (1)
After the stage play, the cosplayers from the chat room still kept in contact.
Besides chatting and flooding the group, they occasionally arranged to meet up in person.
Tang’s cosplayer, Meowla, opened a cat café.
After some online discussion, they decided that on the day the cat café opened, those with pets would bring their pets, while others would show support and join for a lively meetup.
Li Li planned to attend.
As it was the autumn-winter season and a bit cold, she paired her black trench coat with long pants, dressed neatly, and headed out.
However, after stepping outside, she vaguely felt an odd premonition.
Because she was an ordinary person in this world but a true god in the other realm, her premonitions usually related to that other world.
“I feel something interesting might happen.” She revealed a look of someone eager to watch a show.
She could prevent it, but why would she do that?
Li Li was just an ordinary girl who wanted to pet some fluffy creatures!
...
The sun shone brightly that day.
Yiming originally lay napping on his office desk.
Due to various reasons, Tide had been extremely busy lately.
Even Yiming, who had barely attended school, got pulled in to contribute ideas, and he nearly fell asleep as soon as he lay down.
As he slept, he was woken up by noise.
“Yiming, come on, let’s go out!”
It was a female voice.
Yiming thought the voice didn’t sound like Tang’s and felt unfamiliar, but he opened his eyes and replied, “Coming.”
Then he heard ‘woof woof woof’ sounds.
Coming from his own mouth.
Yiming slowly said: “…Woof?”
He turned into a dog?!
This place felt unfamiliar to him; it was clearly someone else’s home, but the furniture style was something he had never seen before.
But why did he turn into a dog!
And a Corgi at that! A short-legged Corgi!
“Oh my, are you so happy to go out?” The unfamiliar woman squatted down, rubbed Yiming’s head, then put a leash on the dazed Corgi Yiming, patted his Corgi butt, and headed toward the entrance.
Yiming: “…”
So why did he turn into a dog!!!!!!
“Yiming, why are you just standing there?” The woman, who was the Corgi’s owner Lulu, tugged the leash, looking puzzled at the motionless, stunned Corgi.
Corgi Yiming slowly extended a paw, then took a step forward.
He showed an expression of utter despair, flopping onto the ground in a defeated Corgi pose.
Oh heavens, and this was a female Corgi.
Yiming, with his Metal Heart and iron will, was crushed by reality into self-isolation.
Not mentioning the journey, even when they reached the cat café, Yiming maintained that defeated Corgi pose.
“Lulu!” The owner Meowla came out to greet them.
The two women chatted, while the defeated Yiming lay flattened on the smooth floor.
Yiming couldn’t figure out why he had truly turned into a Corgi.
Just then, a shadow loomed over him.
“Yiming?”
It was a red peony parrot, flapping its wings to land beside Yiming’s paw, then circling and calling, “Yiming! Yiming!”
Meowla nearby said, “Who taught the crying bird to call Yiming?”
A staff member replied, “No one.”
“A natural talent? Amazing!” Lulu exclaimed, “Yiming really is called Yiming!”
Corgi Yiming lifted his head, locking eyes with the parrot.
“An Huyu?” he woofed.
The parrot nodded frantically.
The An Huyu version parrot said, “I don’t know how I got here. I opened my eyes and was like this, turned into a parrot.”
“Because you’re too noisy.” A sleek black cat leaped down from the table, its emerald green eyes sweeping over the defeated Yiming, “Chattering like a noisy parrot.”
“Tang?” Yiming recognized him.
He finally shed his defeated Corgi pose, stood up, and asked, “Weren’t we together before?”
“I was in Four-Way City,” An Huyu said.
“I was in Floating City,” Tang said.
“I was in Ranmu City,” Yiming said.
The three exchanged glances, sensing the situation was tricky.
“Didn’t all abilities disappear?” An Huyu murmured, “Even if there were abilities, picking us three from three cities and bringing us here, why?”
“Maybe not just the three of us,” Tang said, looking to the side.
Before his words faded, an unprecedented sense of crisis enveloped Yiming.
He turned his head and saw a colored cat—a lion cat with one gold and one blue heterochromatic eye—staring at him with murderous intent, as if ready to pounce and tear his throat out the next second.
“You dare be a dog—” The cat looked furious.
“It’s Dan ah,” An Huyu sighed in relief, at least not an enemy.
“It’s Dan,” Tang agreed, recognizing the eye color as Dan’s.
“What’s so great about being a dog!” Yiming would never understand Dan’s obsession with being a dog.
Dan felt incredulous; he was clearly the notorious hound, nicknamed Dan Dog, Heige’s pet dog.
But why! That frail, weak little shorty became a dog, while he turned into a cat!
“Perhaps killing you would let me become a dog,” he said softly, his tone carrying a hint of probing.
Then he lifted his head, gazing into the distance.
“Let me go,” Dan said quietly.
“Don’t move,” Jue Hui Shen replied expressionlessly, “Hands over your head, forget everything you said with your buddy.”
Dan felt he was kidnapped; those things with his buddy, with hands over his head, a pair of hands reached out, making him forget those things with his buddy.
Then he sat beside Lulu, joining the women’s conversation, petting the Corgi’s head while talking.
“Lili!” Lulu exclaimed in delight.
“Good afternoon~” Li Li greeted, then lowered her head to the dazed Corgi Yiming, saying, “Good afternoon, Yiming.”
Yiming: 2&4Q&R!&——
Corgi Yiming.exe failed to launch.
The dazed Corgi’s ears twitched, then decisively nestled into Li Li’s lap, rubbing furiously, sniffing the dusty scent from the trench coat, woofing happily.
He only regretted this Corgi had no tail, or he could wag it into a blur!
Being a dog didn’t seem so bad, right? He showed a serene and joyful expression.
“What a dog,” Tang said elegantly from the side.
“What a dog ah,” An Huyu couldn’t bear to look.
Jiang Lan passed by, glanced at the Corgi, put her bag on the table: “Why does this dog’s expression look so weird, goddess, don’t hold it, it’s heavy, cuddle with me.”
Li Li made space for Jiang Lan to sit beside her, then said, “No way, it’s pretty cute.”
At that moment, a colored lion cat suddenly sprang up, its big tail sweeping Jiang Lan’s hand away, then opened its mouth—
And bit the Corgi’s raised butt.
Those heterochromatic eyes brimmed with killing intent.
Jiang Lan, witnessing it: “Damn, is this cat part dog?!”
