Elsa took out a piece of porcelain. It had been wiped so clean that it even reflected light, clearly showing Elsa's face on its surface.
This masterpiece was clearly the result of repeated polishing. If the floor were made of this porcelain, it could definitely be used as a mirror.
"Ella, do you do this every day? These tasks seem to keep repeating, like they're never-ending."
Elsa finally couldn't hold back anymore. If you only cleaned once, the room became tidy and looked comfortable—that was perfectly fine.
But very soon, not long after, the second round of cleaning would begin again.
It was as if she was bored, with nothing else to do, and treated cleaning as a pastime, doing it over and over again.
"I'm sorry, because I, uh, back at the manor, well, the manor was a bit big back then."
"The house is a little smaller now."
Elsa seemed to have spotted the blind spot.
"Mainly, I'm just used to it. I'll read a book in a little while."
Ella felt a bit embarrassed. Because back when she cleaned the manor, it required a very long time. Plus, there was a cat inside the manor that would deliberately mess up the cleaned areas.
On top of that, her Stepmother and those two sisters would directly create some difficulties, like breaking plates. There were also certain areas, like the piano room or the place for learning etiquette, that the Stepmother directly ordered Ella not to enter.
So, this cleaning job really couldn't stop from morning till night.
Now that the etiquette lessons were also finished, sitting at home for a while, it seemed like there was nothing else to do. Then, without realizing it, she started doing her old trade again.
In the end, this home was only rented, and it wasn't as big as the manor.
Finally, Ella realized something was wrong with her. She needed to make some changes; just doing these things wasn't enough.
Just as Ella walked into the room, took out a book, and was about to read it by the lamplight, a sudden change occurred.
"Why are you alone here?"
A sudden voice startled Ella. She turned around and saw an old woman.
The other person had a kind and amiable appearance, wearing ordinary clothes. She had a light blue headscarf on her head, and her body was somewhat plump, looking chubby.
Most crucially, in this old woman's hand was a white-colored Magic Wand.
You could say that from head to toe, all the colors on this old woman were blue and light blue. The only exception was the special Magic Wand she held in her hand.
"Quiet now. I just put a little child to sleep; we mustn't wake her."
"Um, who are you?"
Ella asked cautiously. It was nothing else; the appearance was just too strange. This house was still quite small; any movement was easily noticeable.
But this old woman seemed to have appeared out of thin air, without making any sound. However, she didn't seem hostile towards Ella, and there was an inexplicable sense of familiarity.
"Is that important? I only know that you're feeling very lost in your heart right now. Perhaps I can help you. Like this."
She didn't answer Ella's question directly. Instead, she waved her Magic Wand, chanted an Incantation, and then pointed gently.
It wasn't a laser, but many little stars gathered together and floated towards Ella. Then, the clothes on her body changed.
Changing the clothes wasn't enough. With another gentle point, a small round shield appeared in Ella's hand. Then, a sword appeared in her right hand, though it was a bit heavy.
The moment the weapon was conjured, it stabbed into the ground. Ella tried to pull it out with effort but couldn't.
"Oh, well, it seems these aren't suitable for you. But that's not the only option."
"Wait, I think we need to have a proper talk."
Before Ella could finish speaking, the woman pointed gently again. A book appeared in Ella's hand, followed by a wooden Magic Wand and a Wizard's robe.
"Wow, this, how is this... truly incredible!"
Ella couldn't help but exclaim. She looked at the Magic Wand in her hand and also wanted to cast a spell, but it was just like a piece of wood, showing no reaction.
"You can't do it like that. You need to learn slowly.
This isn't a simple matter. I can only help you this much; the rest of the path you must walk yourself.
Are you planning to use Incantations, some magical runes, or perhaps potions?"
"These are all very novel to me. But before using them, I need to know why?
Uh, I don't doubt you, but receiving help without being able to repay it is torture for me."
Ella took off the Wizard's robe she was wearing, folded it neatly, and placed the magic book and the Magic Wand on top of it.
"Dear, there's no need to be nervous. I was drawn here by you. How should I put it? If you had lost your confidence, didn't want to strive forward, and were content with the status quo, I wouldn't have come here. I wouldn't even have appeared."
"My goodness, this is unbelievable."
"It's not unbelievable at all. A long time ago, people were often like you, though generally, the direction of their prayers was different from yours."
Perhaps it was the mysterious sense of familiarity emanating from the other person that made Ella accept this explanation.
In fact, in the original storyline, Ella didn't dwell too much on the origins or purpose of the suddenly appearing Fairy.
So, this left a lot of room for speculation. Some said this Fairy was Ella's deceased mother.
But actually, this speculation is incorrect. If that were really the case, then Ella doing all that hard labor for so long would be a bit... disturbing.
If you said she went to learn a craft, that's also unlikely. Because this Fairy relied heavily on a Magic Wand for her powers. Without the Magic Wand, it was difficult to perform magic. Plus, this old lady was a bit forgetful due to her age.
Looking at the offered Magic Wand and the thick magic book,
Ella opened the book. The text inside was very special.
"I believe in your talent. I never imagined you would walk this path either.
In fact, when preparing to meet you, I planned to conjure a pumpkin carriage and a beautiful dress. But now, it seems everything has changed."
