The Max Level Hero Has Returned!-Chapter 1132

Chapter 1132
Bang!
“Miss!! Wait just a moment!!” Antoni urgently shouted as he rushed in.
Evangeline flinched like a child caught doing something wrong.
[???]
[Did someone just call her Miss?]
[Wait, so she’s actually loaded?]
[No wonder she said she didn’t need money... she’s a total silver spoon...]
“What’s going on?”
“Please calm down first and close that website. Right now.”
“W-Why? What is it?”
“Miss. You trust me, right? Please do it, or else I’ll be doomed.”
Seeing how serious he was, Evangeline reluctantly closed the website. Even as she did, she kept staring at the screen with a look full of lingering curiosity.

“Okay...”
Antonio let out a sigh of relief, and the chat reacted the same way.
If Evangeline were an adult who knew the dirty secrets of the world, that’d be one thing. However, there was no one single person who didn’t know that streamer Eva was still a minor.
Thanks to Al Hajat working through Antonio to tightly manage things, no complete lunatics had shown up yet. Unfortunately, things had gone off the rails all at once.
“Well, I guess that’s it. I’m not going to see it.”
As she calmly made her decision, the chat was quickly split with their own opinions. Some were saying people were overreacting, while many others insisted one shouldn’t do such a thing to a minor.
“What even is it?”
The rebelliousness inside her started to bubble up again. She was once again being left out, told she didn’t need to know, and treated like a kid.
As her emotions flared, she started to fume and returned to the computer. “
Ugh.
This is starting to make me mad. What is it?!”

U-Uh
, Miss!”
Startled, Antonio tried to stop her, but Evangeline put up a barrier to block him and accessed the site again.
[
Whoa,
what’s going on?!]
[Wait a sec, something feels off...]
Click, click.
A moment later, the stream showed a certain site. The problem was with the nature of that site, as it was filled with all sorts of wild and rather provocative images.

Ah!

[
Ah...
]
[We’re screwed...]
After a brief silence, Evangeline finally spoke. “
Ugh!

As if her voice was the signal, everyone could instinctively feel that things had gone very, very wrong.

Waaah!!!
Daaad!!”
In the end, Evangeline burst into tears and shut off the stream, ending it far more abruptly than any of her streams before that.
In the wake of the incident, she ended up getting suspended again under the label of inappropriate content. It would eventually go down as one of the most infamous moments in the streamer community.
* * *
“Silence gate,
eh?
It’s not that high in terms of threat level, but the fact that it has the potential to harm people is a bit of a headache.”
As long as it could be tracked down and quickly found, they could handle it. While they still didn’t know exactly how it killed people, their assessment was that the rift itself wasn’t especially dangerous.
“The only one who can detect it right now is Kouna, but I really don’t think there’s any way that foresight is truly the only way to detect it. If that were the case, the Malicious Spirits wouldn’t have used the gate method they did in the past.”
Hyun-Ah and Illyna exchanged their thoughts with serious expressions. Meanwhile, Kouna sat next to them silently while playing a mobile game.
One of them was affiliated with Tionis, another was the vice president of Sacred Group, and the last was the only living human on Earth capable of detecting a silence gate’s emergence.
Of course, Kouna has only been able to detect a portion of the gates that had simultaneously appeared. Even then, they had only been dealt with using focused stakeouts. They could only estimate when one might appear in a certain location, which wasn’t exactly proper detection.
“Honestly, I don’t really think asking you for help was the right thing to do,” Hyun-Ah said.
Illyna reassured her, “Don’t worry about that. Eva’s been getting a lot of help since she started living here, and I’ve been wondering how to repay that kindness.”
Illyna fully understood Hyun-Ah’s desire to resolve the situation. It wasn’t a massive problem, but if left alone, a lot of people could get hurt.
“If I can help, I will. This is important enough that all other things can be put to the side, no longer top priorities.”
Bang!
The door suddenly burst open, and Evangeline ran straight into Illyna’s arms. “
Waaahhh!!
Moooom!!”
Startled, Illyna’s eyes widened as she asked, “W-What’s going on?!”
Evangeline didn’t say a word, just sobbing uncontrollably. Illyna watched her in a daze, instincts telling her that something was seriously wrong.
She already knew that Evangeline had started streaming after Al Hajat’s suggestion. While she hadn’t been thrilled about it initially, like Al Hajat said, streaming had helped Evangeline ease some of her resentment toward humans and provided other positive benefits. Understanding that, she hadn’t strongly opposed it. Still, she made exceptions for the ones that tried to cross the line every now and then.
“Don’t tell me, did someone...?”
“Mother...” Super Ribbon entered the room with an uncomfortable look.
After hearing from Super Ribbon what had happened on the stream, Illyna, Hyun-Ah, and Kouna—finally taking her eyes off her game—all looked at each other.
Without even a word of further discussion, all three’s expressions twisted.
“How should we wreck them?”
“Should I just drag them back to Tionis?”
Unlike the two who threw out their questions at the same time, Kouna silently stood up and began preparing to move.
Super Ribbon, still relatively composed, tried to intervene. “
Umm.
Could you all calm down a bit?”
However, Illyna’s eyes were already blazing. “That bastard better count his blessings.”
If Aeria had been there, Davey would’ve definitely heard about it. If it reached Perserque, then that guy would’ve faced something far worse than what Illyna or Davey could deliver.
“Wait... Weren’t you just discussing the rift?”
“Is that even important right now?!”
“Your little sister isn’t even five years old yet!”
While the two raged out of control, Kouna quietly headed toward the door.
Super Ribbon instinctively grabbed her by the waist, dragging her back and sighing. “Think this through. It’s not going to help anyone if her identity gets revealed right now, Mother.”
“Then we’ll handle it quietly. I’ll take care of it, so you don’t need to worry about anything, Super Ribbon.”
“Exactly. There are some lines a person should never cross. Who the hell shows something like that to a kid?!” Illyna gritted her teeth and spun the divine sword Caldeiras through the air.
Convinced that a total disaster would unfold if she left them unchecked, Super Ribbon decided to turn to her last hope.
- Uncle!!
Al Hajat, who was monitoring the situation at the company he had taken over in Korea, hurriedly picked up her call.
“Hey, Super Ribbon. What is it?”
- Uncle! Please stop Mother! If this goes badly...
Super Ribbon frantically explained Evangeline’s condition and the aggressive stance Illyna and Hyun-Ah were taking, hoping Al Hajat would intervene like before and keep things from spiraling into a huge incident.

Hm.
I see. Yeah, I watched that stream too. Don’t worry, Super Ribbon—I’ll make sure they find out just how fast one’s life can go straight to hell.”
However, contrary to her expectations, Al Hajat, the one she had trusted to remain level-headed, reacted in the most explosive way of all of them.
* * *
That day’s incident turned into quite a serious issue. While the protective measures triggered by what seemed like a malicious donation exploit were one thing, streaming age-restricted content was an entirely different matter in terms of severity.
However, because the stream had been shut down before things escalated further, Evangeline ended up with only a three-day suspension.
She made a simple and clear announcement on the channel Al Hajat had created and moderated to support her.
- This is Eva. It was a really awful site, and I still feel sick... Sorry for playing something weird. I’ll be taking a short break.
Naturally, those who saw the post were reminded of the incident and engaged in renewed discussions.
Harsh criticism of the person who had recommended such content to Evangeline followed. It was obvious to anyone that the stream belonged to a child. While people had originally gathered for various reasons, the majority had ended up sticking around because they were charmed by her pure and adorable nature.
Many of them saw Eva as a cute, innocent kid growing up before their eyes, like they were doting dads watching their daughter play. Evangeline herself had wanted to be seen as an adult, but the reality was very different.
That was why even the more toxic viewers tended to restrain themselves in her stream. It was a sort of unspoken rule for her stream.
However, one viewer had crossed the line, trying to jokingly mock the streamer Moderation, and ended up becoming the center of the issue.
Rumor had it that the viewer who shared the inappropriate comment had their account completely wiped. Considering their infamous penchant for toxicity, most assumed he wouldn’t be fazed by something like this. Yet after he suddenly disappeared without a trace, the tone of the conversation began to shift.
[Honestly, Eva’s stream gives major rich girl vibes, doesn’t it?]
[Yeah, I heard someone call her “Miss” too.]
[Don’t tell me she found him and buried him LOL]
[I mean, I wouldn’t care if that toxic jerk got buried, but it’s creepy how possible that sounds.]
[But yo fr, no one's heard anything? No way that guy suddenly had a change of heart.]
[Putting my money on he got buried GG]
[Yo real talk, things aren’t the same these days. Remember how all those people who spread baseless rumors about the Saint of Tionis’s daughter got destroyed? You can’t just talk shit on the internet without consequences anymore.]
Luckily, it seemed no one had connected Eva to Evangeline, the former victim who had once stirred up public sentiment. More accurately, Hyun-Ah had subtly twisted public perception, just enough to sever the link between them.
As for the toxic viewer’s whereabouts, there were only rumors floating around. No evidence, no confirmation.
* * *
Evangeline stood alongside Super Ribbon in a rift, with the divine dragon sword Twilight in one hand.
After she was suspended, she had been feeling down, so Super Ribbon had brought her there for a bit of a mood boost.
- Krooo!!!
Monsters above D-class charged at Evangeline, letting out deafening roars.
Although D-class monsters weren’t that threatening, they were still monsters. To an average person, they were all terrifying beasts.
She was facing dozens of them.
Evangeline, holding Twilight in one hand, had already broken through the Master-level before her second growth spurt. Once undergoing that pivotal period of growth, she had awakened more of her powers as a dragon.
[Fear]
The rushing monsters froze the instant they locked eyes with the gloomy and brooding Evangeline. When she looked back with her vertically slit dragon eyes, what the monsters saw within them was the crushing terror of an unfathomably powerful being.
The monsters, momentarily stunned and trembling, stopped dead in their tracks. Evangeline silently looked at them, then suddenly clapped her hands. “
Ah!
Super Ribbon!”

Hm?
” Super Ribbon replied as she quietly kept watch behind Evangeline.
Evangeline continued while pulling out her smartphone and starting to film the monsters, “I’ve seen people posting life updates and ‘IRL’ stuff like this. Can I do it too?”
As long as Evangeline herself didn’t appear on the screen, she figured it’d be fine. It wasn’t unusual for Awakened individuals to stream their activities; it was even relatively common. Super Ribbon figured that if people knew Eva was an Awakened-class individual, the trolls might think twice before crossing any lines.
“Sure, but make sure your face doesn’t show.”

Hehe.
That’s easy!” With that, Evangeline shouted at the monsters, “All of you, come here! Line up, in two rows!”
She was yelling at the monsters, radiating intense hostility. Anyone watching would’ve thought she was completely out of her mind. Especially being that she was in an open rift, it wouldn’t have been surprising if others were around.
Fortunately, it seemed no one else was nearby. Still, there was no way the monsters would ever obey human commands.
However, the monsters struck directly by her dragon eyes had no room left to think about it logically. After all, she wasn’t just any dragon—she was the descendant of an ancient dragon, one revered as god-like royalty among dragons themselves.
Inheriting the dense blood of Eclipse, the strongest among those ancient dragons, her Fear was fundamentally different.
Once the terrified monsters froze in place, Evangeline pointed her sword at them and snapped a picture. She gave the photo an intentionally clickbaity caption, Eva’s Dungeon Hunt, and uploaded it to her channel.
It wasn’t long before the comments began flooding in.
[Wait, she’s an Awakened?? But hey, her hand is so cute.]
While it wasn't exactly a child’s hand, it was a small, pale one like that of a young teen. Viewers stared at the peace sign she made in the photo and let their imaginations run wild.
[
Huh?
Isn’t that the black swamp? Isn’t that a D-class open rift?]
[You're right. Dang, how many monsters is that?!]
[They’re not that hard to take down if you’ve got the skills.]
[Boss... is it warm there up your own ass? It’s cold here... come back soon...]
[Rich girl and Awakened individual, yet still a kid? Are kids even allowed in rifts?]
[If they’ve got the skills, age doesn’t matter. Don’t you know that?]
[Be careful, Boss. The uncle squad’s cheering for you.]
[LOL the same girl who sobbed and shut down her stream over R-rated stuff is now butchering monsters in real life? Wild.]
[What’s that got to do with anything? They’re completely different situations.]
[True. But seriously, she should be careful. I’m scared that she might get hurt.]
[Yeah. Even as an Awakened, Eva just feels like a lamb to the slaughter.]
In just a few days, her viewers had already started to see her as the kind of kid you couldn’t leave alone without worrying. Of course, there were other opinions, too.
[Isn’t this all just part of the act? Judging by her hand, she’s not a little kid, so she probably knows more than what she’s letting on. Crying over that was kind of dramatic.]
[Yooo don’t you remember how she cried? That was real. And she’s never pretended to be something she’s not. What’s your problem, dickhead?]
[Fr. She never lied. She said she was around fourteen! Yeah, kids are clever these days, but she still seems not to know how the world works. That kinda makes her one in a million.]
[Rich girl... one in a million... monster butcher... holy crap.]
[Can someone block the guy above wtf]
[lol but wait, is Eva really the one doing the hunting? Or is she just tagging along with some older guys?]
The viewers deduced the rift’s location in no time, capable enough to make anyone shake their head. In just that short span, they had somehow learned how to identify different things about her life.
Super Ribbon sighed and shook her head. Still, watching Evangeline smile brightly and focus so intently, she couldn’t help but want to cheer her on.
However, that’s when it happened.

Kyaaah!!!

Hearing a distant scream, Super Ribbon’s eyes widened in surprise.
“Eva!”
At the same time, Evangeline’s ears, having since become pointed after her second growth, twitched sharply. “I smell blood...”
“Wait! It’s okay, Eva! You don’t have to step in and involve yourself!”
Someone calling for help was an urgent matter. But what worried Super Ribbon more was the possibility that if Evangeline jumped in, she might get hurt by humans again.
Rationally, it probably wouldn’t happen. But that’s how worry worked. It sometimes defied logic.
However, Evangeline shook her head.
“Super Ribbon. I’m not a kid, and I’m not planning to sulk about that forever either,” she said with a grin.
They weren’t related by blood, but her smile was unmistakably just like that of Davey—the creator and father Super Ribbon cherished most.
“It’s okay.”
With those words, Evangeline shot into the air like a flash with her divine dragon sword Twilight in hand. Her eyes turned violet, and her pupils split vertically.
Super Ribbon dispersed her form slightly, wrapping herself around Evangeline to protect her.
They eventually could see several injured Awakened individuals surrounded by monsters. They were clearly still rookies, cornered in a terribly unfavorable position by a pack of black wolves.
One of the wolves broke formation and began circling before it suddenly charged at one of the individuals. The situation was urgent enough that if the two didn’t act immediately, someone was going to die.
Soon after, Evangeline sent her blade crashing down.
A strike based on Sword God Ares’s sword, using the foundation of the longsword. The sheer mass contained within the powerful divine dragon sword Twilight fell like a bomb from above.
Boom!!
Evangeline landed in front of the Awakened individuals. She calmly scanned the stunned individuals staring at her in disbelief.
“The Saint of Tionis’s daughter...”
Evangeline questioned, “Are you okay?”
The individuals, still on the ground in a daze, nodded slowly as if they were concussed.
They recognized her right away, especially since they had seen her face before on that Wherry’s stream. So yes, there was a bit of surprise and wariness, but the truth that she had saved them remained.
In truth, she had once been a victim herself.
Sure, the details of the silence gate incident were still being debated, yet those discussions didn’t matter at that moment of peril.
It wasn’t long before more Awakened individuals had arrived after hearing the earlier scream. Once present, they also locked their focus on Evangeline.
Super Ribbon felt a flicker of unease and wondered what she should do. Thankfully, nothing dramatic happened, and recognizing her didn’t seem to shift the mood in any major way.
Grrr.
The monsters turned and charged toward Evangeline with fury. She opened her eyes again, Fear bursting from her vertically slit, violet pupils.
Everyone and everything around her seemed to freeze.
Yelp!
The monsters locked up in place, faces twisted in terror. The Awakened individuals, too, stared at Evangeline in shock.
“You... needed help, right?”
It was a slightly anxious question.
One of the injured individuals suddenly realized that Evangeline had been hesitating like an animal scared of getting hurt. The sharp-eyed Awakened woman immediately understood where that hesitation came from, knowing what had happened on that Wherry’s stream not long before.
She knew it was utterly ridiculous that a kid like her—someone who wanted to help others even while trembling with fear—had been accused of murder.
The woman held her own wound to stop the bleeding, then begged, “Please help us, Miss.”
She finally understood that all the rumors that exploded when the incident happened—about the government covering for her as she was the daughter of Saint of Tionis, that there was a secret conspiracy behind it all, or that she had a terrible personality—had all been garbage. Complete nonsense!
The Awakened woman concluded that you couldn’t trust the rumors floating around on the internet.
