Time passed at high speed, Kayden became completely disconnected from the world once again, not that he cared even the slightest about it; in the end, the common world no longer held any meaning for him, power games, social rules, none of that had mattered for a long time.
The Kerian took turns discussing things with Kayden; as much as they were a single soul, they were also not just a single soul. They had small differences in knowledge and understanding of his situation, they were small details, but when all of them were added together, they made a great difference.
Kayden's knowledge increased with each passing day. The Kerian believed they were the wisest soul mages in this world, especially after they carried out a great purge of mages who possessed that kind of knowledge, but Kayden…..
It was insane; his knowledge bordered on omnipotence when compared to theirs. In every path, Kayden knew something; every doubt could be resolved with a bit of thought. He was a master, a true master of souls, something that after meeting Kayden neither of the two ever dared to claim as a title for themselves again.
The world went through a complete restructuring; the order of power was entirely reformulated with only those two kings in power. All cities were completely dominated, all mages were recruited, no organization or mage was capable of escaping the government's grasp at that moment; the only mage free from that was Kayden.
After a few million years, Kayden reached the maximum amount of knowledge he could absorb from those two mages. They were good, they were two excellent talents and were capable of creating something insane, but in the end, that was all. They lacked a great deal of lifespan to truly be able to add to Kayden's knowledge.
Aside from the creation of the fusion of the two souls, the Kerian were just some talented soul mages. They possessed almost nothing beyond that, at least when compared to Kayden, but at that moment it was very difficult to find mages capable of rivaling him; Kayden had become a very old mage.
Kayden was probably the oldest mortal that had ever existed. Perhaps that was not the most accurate comparison; in the end, the universe was very large, there were places and worlds that Kayden did not even dream of, the possibilities were immense.
"Good luck on your journey, Master Kayden." The two Kerian appeared to bid Kayden farewell. The respect the boy had earned during that period was insane; it seemed crazy to think that they once wanted to kill him, that would certainly have been the worst decision of their lives.
"Likewise, one day we will see each other again." Kayden said his goodbye with a few more words and once again returned to where he had been in the past.
"Finally." Kayden smiled to himself as he saw his talent take an absurd leap in a single second. It took him billions of years to use what he had learned from the Kerian; it took an uncountable amount of time, but he succeeded.
His soul had once been like two paints mixed together; they were two shades of white, for example, but they had small imperfections, small details that prevented the mixture from being something pure. There were stains of different tones throughout his soul, but at that moment Kayden had half the soul he once had, the difference being that it had no stains.
It was a completely pure soul, without the slightest imperfection. Kayden made his talent return to the same level as before using only half of his soul; he prioritized quality over quantity at that moment.
It was an intensely difficult process; he had to alter things little by little, a small part at a time. After an insane amount of time hammering and cooling his soul, he was able to make this leap and once again reached the peak of his existence, but there was a problem…..
Kayden fell at the end of the world, a place where not even gods dared to risk themselves. Kayden was completely thrown into it; his mind told him that this was the answer, that the quality of the laws in that space would be intensely superior.
The void was the very epitaph of that world, an abyss where existence had failed to sustain itself. Fragments of broken laws emerged without order, tearing space apart while magical attacks were born and died in the same instant, chaotic and without an owner. There was no logic, only remnants of concepts that once governed everything. There, even chance itself seemed tired of existing.
Kayden spent such a long time near the void that it became familiar to him. The chaos that the wall generated was insane; the amount of attacks and laws that came toward him was insane. They were of extreme help for him to grow in many aspects, but something was missing, it was lacking just a little more. His instincts told him he should do this, and Kayden trusted them blindly, so he simply jumped.
Inside, it was thousands of times more insane. Millions of laws were being thrown at him every second; there were also dozens of attacks. Kayden was receiving practically everything that was possible. Just karmic lightning alone numbered in the dozens; in minutes, he received more than in billions of years. It was completely insane.
Normally, one would get used to this insanity after some time, but it was impossible. It was far too random; things were completely different every moment, and there was nothing Kayden could do. He was not capable of predicting the attacks; at one moment, he received an attack that Han used, his former father.
There was a saying on ancient Earth that if you placed a monkey in front of a keyboard and let it type freely for an infinite amount of time, at some point it would write the Bible or the entire biography of all living beings on Earth. It was a somewhat confusing saying, but at that moment Kayden was able to understand it a little better. Infinity was something very large, and the banal way people used it was strange and did not reflect reality.
Author's note: this is not an offense to the Bible, it is a common saying, I think.
As long as enough attempts were made with enough time, everything was possible, and that void proved this to Kayden. Small fragments of concepts and small fragments of laws were being mixed randomly; there were so many attempts that at some point they turned into complete laws, into fully complex spells with thousands of layers.
Kayden's body was completely in tatters at that moment; his soul was suffering a bizarre number of attacks per second. He was doing everything he could to overcome it, but it was one of the craziest challenges of his life, if not the craziest.
"The forgotten son of God, Kayden Heart." Kayden heard a voice in his mind for the first time.
