The Ruined World Was Mistaken for a Game-Chapter 117: The Miracle That Came (1)

Translator: Dreamscribe
We're going to help them!
The past that had already passed couldn’t be changed, but if they could reverse time and aid the final war, perhaps a different ending would come to them.
All the heroes began the work to construct the Temple of Miracle.
“There sure are a lot of materials required.”
“Think we can get everything from Arsilan and the Domains?”
“They’re building it in front of Solis, so let’s gather them over there.”
An information window about the Temple of Miracle appeared in front of every hero’s eyes.
[Temple of Miracle Completion Rate]
Arsilan: 0%
Giant Realm: 0%
The Temple of Miracle had to be constructed in both Arsilan and the Giant Realm, and the required materials were different for each. In the case of Arsilan, the materials themselves weren’t rare, but the types and quantities were vast, so everyone had to cooperate to complete it.
It required a wide variety of materials, from the horn of a Horned Rabbit obtainable at level 5 to the black stone that only came from underground labyrinths.
The Giant Realm, having named heroes, required rare materials. Antenna of a Queen Ant, heart of a spider, leather of a blue snake, etc. The quantity was small, but acquiring them was difficult.
The heroes didn’t have to construct it directly. Leon created the miracle using the power of the Holy Sword imbued in every hero.
[If you offer the necessary materials to Ella’s Goddess Statue for constructing the Temple of Miracle, the power of the Holy Sword will manifest and the temple will be automatically built.]
When offered to Ella’s Goddess Statue, light would appear and the Temple of Miracle would be erected. Heina, who had returned to Solis, supervised Arsilan, and in the Giant Realm, Leon and the knights remained to assist the heroes.
Now, the journey to gather materials began in earnest!
Jinwoo, taking the appearance of Leon, commanded the heroes in the Giant Realm. It was designed to let them fully experience the content packed into the Giant Realm.
“Then, let’s head to the ant nest.”
“Yes, please.”
LifeHunter, the hunters, and named heroes departed on a journey to the ant nest. Objectives were also assigned to various named heroes, including NorthernGrandDuke.
"We'll head toward the dragonfly area."
Said HellHound of the Helby Lovers Group. The Helby Lovers Group had also arrived in the Giant Realm on Helby’s orders.
“Any particular reason?”
“Because our master wishes it. And it seems it will also help with our research.”
“I see. Understood.”
For some reason, Helby seemed to have taken a liking to dragonflies.
When Jinwoo reached out his hand, a light appeared and a command scroll was formed. It was a command scroll that granted a Quest named Royal Decree. It had a small reward and a clear objective, and it was somewhat effective.
‘Everyone’s doing well.’
Jinwoo nodded as he looked at the information window.
The heroes were all diligently gathering materials.
Even the newly started newbie heroes were joyfully hunting across the fields of Evanth. One could feel their excitement and joy at being part of the main episode of Arsilan Saga. The high-level heroes even mobilized trade ships to secure materials.
‘Hmm?’
Jinwoo looked to the side.
Comfortable was helping the heroes with a slightly cheesy smile on his face.
“I’ll assist you. Please come this way.”
An ethereal atmosphere flowed around Comfortable, as if flowers were fluttering around him.
“Th-thank you.”
“Wishing you a pleasant journey.”
Smile!
As the hero blushed, Comfortable even cast a sacred technique on them.
Suddenly, Comfortable’s popularity soared, and heroes began gathering around him. Everyone offered to party with him, but Haebyul and the Romance Heroes blocked them like bodyguards.
Comfortable looked at the heroes with a very regretful expression.
“I’m sorry. I’m the Bishop of the Romance Domain. If there’s a chance next time, I’ll contact you first.”
Comfortable’s voice sounded especially sweet. Haebyul and the Romance Heroes were touched by that side of him.
“Then, shall we go, Haebyul nim?”
“Ah, yes!”
-Hyung...
-He's kind of... cool.
-I don’t know why... but my heart is racing.
Comfortable was showing off a strange charm, relaxed yet rough, and yet kind.
Jinwoo was at a loss for words at the sight.
‘Tiris….’
Just what are you trying to do?
Tiris, who was controlling Comfortable, nodded and gave a thumbs-up when she made eye contact with Jinwoo.
Tiris looked incredibly pleased.
‘...Let’s just get back to work.’
Jinwoo pretended to be patrolling the Giant Realm with the knights, then moved to the canyon where Helby had stayed. The colorless canyon had been completely cleared and turned into a wide open space. It was the result of the staff's hard work.
A half-collapsed castle wall and fortress could be seen.
Based on Jinwoo’s memories and FS Games’ designs, they had made it look quite convincing. Astel, holding a spray and a large brush, was painting over the castle walls and ground to give it a weathered feel.
“How’s it going?”
“We’re about halfway done!”
Astel answered with a bright smile. Jinwoo cast a barrier over the entire vast land and used Illusion Magic to create a sunset sky. As the blood-red twilight bathed the land, the battlefield atmosphere became even more vivid.
“Then take a break..., no, don’t take a break. Keep working.”
“Ah! Thank you for your consideration!”
Astel bowed deeply.
The staff hated taking breaks the most.
Jinwoo approached the direction where millions of troops were located beyond the castle wall. They were troops secretly brought in from the Duke’s army. Trapped within the Magic Barrier Jinwoo had erected, they couldn’t move.
Duke Belmont was bowing his head to the ground.
“Get up.”
Jump!
Duke Belmont sprang to his feet, standing at attention. He had military discipline like a private. Though he had completely expended his Authority, Duke Belmont still held command over the troops.
Jinwoo examined Duke Belmont’s body. It was grotesquely shaped, but the frame itself was decent.
“Good. If we just trim the fat, you’ll be useful.”
Jinwoo pulled armor out of subspace.
It was the kind of armor a Death Knight might wear.
“You’re now the Lord of Erosion.”
“Pardon?”
“Think of it as a promotion. A lord sounds better than a duke, doesn’t it?”
Duke Belmont couldn’t understand Jinwoo’s words, but he instantly realized that this was in no way a good thing for him.
Jinwoo drew several Magic Circles on the armor, and the armor turned red-hot and floated into the air. The heat was so intense it reached Duke Belmont.
"Is this your first time acting?"
“Y-yes, I don’t even know what I’m supposed to do, and I have no confidence that I can pull it off. I-I’m sure I’ll be clumsy and everyone will notice!”
Duke Belmont spoke desperately.
He looked utterly pitiful, but he was a traitor who had burned countless Beastkin to death and offered the land of Arsilan to Erosion. There was a reason the Lord of Greed had appointed him as a duke.
“You don’t need to worry. This armor will be your acting coach.”
“N-no, it can’t be....”
Duke Belmont shook his head with a desperate expression.
Jinwoo gave a small smile and snapped his fingers.
Clack! Chiiiiiiik!
The armor, glowing red as if about to melt, clung to the duke’s body.
“G-guaaaaagh!”
It burned away all his thick fat and clung to his bones and muscles. When the helmet was placed on his face, the screaming stopped. Though Duke Belmont continued to scream, no sound escaped.
The armor connected to the Magic Tower and came under Jinwoo’s control. Jinwoo uploaded a girl group dance video from Arsilan Worlds into the armor.
Snap! Twirl! Swipe! Wink!
The duke moved gracefully, forming a heart with his hands and striking a sexy pose. The red glowing eyes on the armor changed into heart shapes.
“Hmm, that must be... the Trial of Light.”
Hallon appeared behind Jinwoo. He was dressed as a Dark Priest. Jinwoo handed over the command authority of the duke to him.
“Let’s rehearse and sync everything.”
“Yes! Understood. I’ll make sure to properly showcase the majesty of a Dark Priest to the heroes.”
During Early Access, Hallon had shown hesitation, but now he had reached a stage where he was researching how to appear even more evil.
And just like that, the stage and production were complete!
***
Time passed quickly.
The number of connected users in Arsilan Saga grew even faster after reaching the 10 million mark, surpassing 15 million in just a month, and by the time the Temple of Miracle was partially completed, it had reached 20 million. This was the result of the smooth mass production of Soul Links at Ohsung Electronics' factories in Korea and overseas.
Countries that had previously restricted the Soul Link also eventually gave in to public pressure and joined in. Mexico and Brazil came on board, and India along with Southeast Asian countries were preparing for the establishment of FS Games branches.
‘With 20 million people, isn’t this basically a country?’
‘It’s virtual reality, but shouldn’t we recognize it as a nation?’
‘We’ll hit 30 million within this month at this rate.’
‘Newbie influx is insane right now. Evanth is so packed they’re doing massive expansion work.’
Comments like these were spreading.
FS Games created a “Sillion Kingdom Passport” as merchandise, and it sold out instantly, with a year’s worth of pre-orders fully booked due to its popularity.
Title: A Lot of Sillion Citizens in Europe.
I’m a Korean hero, but I came to France as a kid and experienced a lot of discrimination.
These days, when people see an Asian, they ask in Korean first. But their pronunciation is all in Arsilan dialect ㅋㅋㅋ
When I showed them my Sillion Kingdom passport, they were overjoyed.
Felt a kind of kinship as fellow citizens of the Sillion Kingdom.
Racism definitely seems to have declined?
Among younger folks, it’s basically nonexistent.
Now, just knowing Korean is enough to travel to most tourist spots. If you use the standard dialect, you can even become popular among the heroes here.
Anonymous1 (FR): I’m a French hero, sorry about that.
└ BreadMan (OP): Nah nah, it’s all good. That was in the past.
Anonymous3 (UK): Since we speak the same language and belong to the same country, of course we’re not strangers.
└ Anonymous4 (ES): That’s right. We’re all part of the Sillion Kingdom.
Anonymous4 (MX): If you’re racist, you deserve to get smacked. We really do beat people up for that.
└ Anonymous5 (KR): LMAO seriously they do. If you don’t speak the Arsilan common language, you can’t even communicate, ㅋㅋ people treat you like a mob ㅋㅋ
As the number of heroes rapidly increased, the real-world landscape was changing just as fast. Since Arsilan Saga launched globally, s of crime rates decreasing began to frequently appear.
Jinwoo was in the FS Games control room for the first time in a while, watching the Temple of Miracle’s completion rate.
“CEO-nim, I think this 2nd anniversary event needs to be a big one.”
Han Yong-seon said with a bright smile.
As he said, the 2nd anniversary was just around the corner.
Jinwoo was already racking his brain over what kind of event to prepare.
In any case, with the explosion of new users, Jinwoo slightly delayed the Temple of Miracle’s completion rate. If new players experienced such a massive episode during their newbie phase, they’d become the kind of people who couldn’t be satisfied with anything less than Arsilan Saga!
“The PV for this episode is complete!”
Jinwoo looked at the PV video.
A peaceful scene of Arsilan appeared. Leon and the people of Arsilan were smiling, and the heroes were active in both Arsilan and the Empire of Evil.
Scenes of grand festivals and joyful events flowed by to warm music, bringing a natural smile to his face.
[The past, filled with despair.]
The video rewound as if time was turning back, and a desolate scene appeared. The army of Erosion trampled Arsilan, and the beautiful castle walls and fortress crumbled.
The people of Arsilan collapsed on the spot and looked up at the sky.
They looked up at a red sky like thick blood and prayed desperately for help. The absolute fear and despair from the days when there were no heroes radiated from the screen.
[Let there be light that transcends time and space.]
The scene shifted to heroes arriving in the Giant Realm after clearing the underground labyrinth. Leon and Sank were talking, and from newbies to named heroes, everyone was cheerfully adventuring and gathering materials.
[Heroes! Assemble!]
The PV ended with both peaceful Arsilan and a despair-filled Arsilan appearing side by side.
‘Hmm?’
Something caught Jinwoo’s eye in the PV.
“Could you rewind that part for a moment?”
“Yes!”
An FS Games employee rewound the video.
A knight in unusual armor was shown emerging from a white summoning circle. There was a scene where the heroes summoned that knight.
“I thought it looked like an interesting character, so I added it.”
“Nice! I love that it has personality.”
“To think you secretly added something like that as an update! As expected of you, CEO-nim!”
The FS Games staff looked at Jinwoo with eyes full of admiration.
Jinwoo had absolutely no idea what that was. For now, he simply nodded and instructed them to upload the PV video. After returning to the CEO’s office, Jinwoo immediately headed to Arsilan.
‘A white summoning circle...’
He began tracking it through the Magic Tower. It was difficult to locate, likely because it had been carefully concealed. Clearly, whoever did it was as proficient in magic as Jinwoo himself. There weren’t many such figures in Arsilan.
‘Found it!’
Jinwoo teleported straight to the location.
The place with the white summoning circle was right in front of the Queen Ant’s chamber. LifeHunter and the hunters were preparing to extract materials from the Queen.
As the white summoning circle suddenly emitted a strong glow as if demanding attention, LifeHunter and the hunters approached. Jinwoo remained thoroughly hidden and observed the scene.
“Hyung! A summoning circle appeared here. Should we try summoning?”
“Hmm, better than nothing.”
At Jam-sik’s words, LifeHunter nodded.
It wasn’t a standard summoning type.
It was a high-level technique that even Jinwoo couldn’t easily analyze. When Jam-sik touched the summoning circle, it burst with powerful mana and a dazzling light.
Ssshhh!
With the light, the knight from the PV video appeared.
He wore silver armor that gleamed, and held a large two-handed sword. However, the helmet he wore was oversized, making his proportions look off.
“I am the Dragon Knight, Hellknight! May the blessing of the Guardian Dragon be with you all!”
He made a formal, knight-like greeting, though his movements seemed a bit awkward. Jinwoo blinked as he observed Hellknight. Inside the armor, pretending to be the Guardian Dragon’s knight, was Helby.
She had used considerable power to completely hide her identity, but unfortunately, she couldn’t fool Jinwoo’s eyes. The oversized helmet was to hide her horns.
Jinwoo (Leon): Where are you right now?
As he sent the message, Hellknight, who was about to strike a pose, paused for a moment.
Helby (???): Just resting at the shop.
Jinwoo (Leon): Ah, I see.
Helby (???): Why?
Jinwoo (Leon): Can I see you right now? I’m coming.
Jinwoo sent the message just to observe her reaction.
After a brief pause, Hellknight began walking forward.
“Uh... Hellknight nim? We’re about to go for the Queen Ant, and if we could just take the tip of her antenna…”
“Behold the great power bestowed by the Guardian Dragon!”
Hellknight turned, and without hesitation, kicked open the entrance to the Queen Ant’s chamber. Then, she boldly strode inside.
She looked quite rushed.
"...We were going to extract...."
Jam-sik mumbled with a dazed look. His hands were full of sleeping powder. Flustered, LifeHunter and the hunters rushed into the Queen Ant’s chamber.
Slip!
The large Queen Ant, who had been preparing for a dramatic entrance, faltered at Hellknight’s sudden appearance. SlimeKing, who was controlling the Queen Ant, seemed visibly shaken.
Whoosh!
Hellknight raised the two-handed sword high.
An aura made of starlight expanded as if piercing the ceiling.
“Strike of Protection!”
Jam-sik hurriedly tried to stop her, but Hellknight’s attack was faster. She cleaved the Queen Ant cleanly in half. Hellknight looked at Jam-sik and the hunters and gave them a thumbs-up.
“The evil Queen Ant has been vanquished by the Dragon Knight Hellknight! You can rest easy now! Farewell!”
Saying that, she vanished with starlight.
“...We weren’t supposed to kill the Queen Ant... Killing her causes a huge mess...”
“Yeah.”
At Jam-sik’s words, LifeHunter nodded.
Tiris had set the ant behavior patterns in meticulous detail, and the SlimeKing’s split form had fully absorbed those settings. Its sense of self had faded to the point it had become a perfect ant. Now, countless ants from the nest began swarming into the Queen Ant’s chamber.
The dense bloodlust of the ants filled the entire room.
“......”
“......”
LifeHunter, Jam-sik, and the hunters were all speechless. Jinwoo was the same.
He quietly left the scene and teleported to the front of the Giant Village.
‘What exactly was she trying to do?’
Jinwoo headed toward the Platinum Coin Shop where Helby was.
When he entered the Platinum Coin Shop, a commotion could be heard from Helby’s room.
Jinwoo quietly opened the door and stepped inside.
Helby was sitting on the sofa, leisurely sipping tea.
“Hm, what brings you here?”
Helby’s gaze wavered slightly.
“Ah, you couldn’t appear in this main story. The balance wouldn’t hold, so I had no choice.”
“You came all this way just to say that? I don’t care. It was annoying anyway.”
A brief silence fell.
Helby took a sip of tea as she observed Jinwoo’s expression.
“Ahem! I made a knight myself. Since I used one of my own scales, it should be quite decent.”
“Huh?”
“There must have been a mistake during the creation process, because it ran off on its own. I’ll retrieve it, so don’t worry about it.”
“Huh, yeah. Got it.”
Ah! So that’s the setup?
Helby set down her teacup and stood up.
“Well then, off you go.”
“...Alright. Get some rest.”
Helby looked rather pleased.
A two-handed sword slightly sticking out from between the curtains was visible, but Jinwoo decided to pretend he didn’t see it.
