The Ruined World Was Mistaken for a Game-Chapter 116: Faith (6)
Translator: Dreamscribe
Wow! Giant Realm! Time travel!
The Giant Realm alone was enough to drive people crazy, but the Giant Realm scenario was actually time travel. Haebyul’s live broadcast, which was streaming the content in real-time, broke her all-time highest viewership record, and once again, Arsilan Worlds exploded in popularity.
Naturally, the reactions were overwhelmingly positive, but frantic voices began to rise here and there.
‘Is it only for high-level players?’
‘Can heroes who haven’t even cleared the first floor of the Underground Labyrinth not participate?’
‘It’s a main episode, so are we just supposed to watch?’
‘Uaaagh! Let me in too!’
It was no surprise that people were saying these things.
Unless you were a named hero, getting to the Giant Realm itself was difficult. Even the famous Romance Hero and LifeHunter were instantly taken down, so low-level players couldn’t even dream of entering.
Title: Do you still not know your Creator God?
So much effort has already been made for the heroes who couldn’t participate in the main episodes until now. Do you think only the advance party will be allowed in?
The Creator God must have a plan.
Just have a little faith and wait!
Comfortable: Are you still doubting? Your faith is lacking.
└Anonymous1(KR): For realㅋㅋThe Creator God must be disappointed.
└Anonymous2(KR): But I get it. If you miss out on the main episode, it’s like losing your whole life.
Anonymous3(EN): The main episode is a story for everyone!
└BigSeriousMan: How do you resolve the time paradox?
There could’ve been chaos, but everyone was overcoming it with their faith in the Creator God. Of course, Jinwoo planned to make this episode open to everyone.
He wanted to show the great battle between Hanu and the Giant Tribe to the heroes and the people of Arsilan. He wanted to carve the forgotten history into Arsilan Saga as myth. That was the least bit of respect Jinwoo could give to the Giant Tribe.
‘Everyone must be part of it.’
A main episode only had meaning if everyone created it together. That was what Arsilan Saga was all about. Of course, the advance party would be treated accordingly.
As the large beetle moved, the pulley turned and the lift rose from below.
“Is this the Giant Tribe’s village?”
“Whoa! That’s a rhinoceros beetle!”
“We survived! I did it!”
The heroes who rode the lift up from beneath the tree shouted in celebration. Although the number was still small, heroes had started to arrive at the Giant Tribe’s village.
“Wow, I made it on my 7th try!”
“Have you ever had your bodily fluids sucked out by a spider? It’s a super weird feeling.”
“Ugh! Impossible....”
They were all known, named heroes, but they were visibly exhausted. That’s how dangerous the Forest of Giants was. It was a world of pure survival of the fittest.
“Isn’t the mantis the strongest insect?”
“No, hornets are stronger.”
“Compared to stag beetles, they’re all weak.”
The atmosphere was heating up with all kinds of chatter.
Sank said he would look for more relevant information and bring it back to Haebyul and the heroes. Once a certain number of heroes had gathered in the Giant Tribe’s village, the next phase would begin.
“Is that a cherry? It’s huge.”
“What kind of meat is this? Larvae? Hmm....”
“A spear made from a rhinoceros beetle’s horn! I have to buy this!”
“Whoa! A venomous stinger awl! It’s Rank D!”
The Giant Tribe’s village was quite well constructed. According to the original lore, there shouldn’t have been any shops, but due to game concessions, several shops existed.
“Hmm, if you bring me 10 ant mandibles and 3 venomous fangs from a giant house spider, I can exchange it for this weapon.”
“With a C-Rank weapon? Whoa....”
At the forge, members of the Giant Tribe were giving out quests to the heroes. If they brought back beetle shells, armor would be made for them. With the tribe’s culture and insect-based materials, the gear had a unique look.
Perhaps because FS Games’ art team had designed it with great care, it looked quite cool.
“Anyone want to go spider hunting?”
“They say a dragonfly showed up up ahead. Want to go check it out?”
“You probably need to be at least level 80 to get near it.”
In the village center, heroes gathered to form parties. Though each belonged to different guilds or domains, since so few had made it this far, they naturally joined forces.
Heroes who had reached the Giant Realm turned on their broadcasts or posted information on Arsilan Worlds. Thanks to them, in-depth analysis was in full swing.
Jinwoo looked at the heroes, then headed to the room where Sank was. It was hidden so the heroes couldn’t access it. You could call it the backstage or staff room.
“You’re pretty good at acting.”
“Really? Haha. It suits me well.”
At Jinwoo’s words, Sank responded with a smile.
Hallon, playing the role of the Dark Priest, was also here. He, too, was familiar with Sank, having once visited the Giant Tribe’s village during his time as Pope.
Tia was coaching the Giant Tribe on their acting, while Helby glared at a dragonfly set up in one corner.
“Dragonfly? Hmm....”
Helby nodded as if she liked it.
Heina stood in front of the younger version of her own body, lost in complex thoughts. Since her character was supposed to have been active during the Great Final War, before the Magic Barrier was raised, she also needed to appear.
“Master.”
Tiris called him over after preparing a very comfortable sofa.
“I am ready.”
Tiris pulled out the Soul Link that Jinwoo had given her.
She had independently modified the Soul Link and added various functions.
Since Leon also needed to play a role in the episode, Tiris planned to use the Magic Tower with Magic Developers and King Slime to portray several characters.
“Honestly, I’m a bit uneasy....”
“With the support of the Magic Tower, I can imitate sacred techniques, so please don’t worry.”
Jinwoo felt slightly uneasy about entrusting Comfortable’s body to Tiris.
Of course, it wasn’t the magic that worried him. Aside from Jinwoo, she was the most outstanding Mage in Arsilan.
It was just the uncertainty of what she might do with Comfortable’s body that concerned him.
'It should be fine.'
Tiris remained expressionless as ever, but Jinwoo could tell that she was excited. Tiris had played a critical role in creating Arsilan Saga, and without her, they wouldn’t have made it this far.
Jinwoo entrusted Comfortable’s body to her.
“There’s a lot to fix.”
“Please go easy on me.”
Tiris had created several bodies needed for this episode. Arsilan natives familiar to the heroes were also scheduled to appear in the episode. They were currently practicing with their scripts.
‘The location can be repurposed from Helby’s canyon.’
For the enemies to appear in the Final War, he was thinking of borrowing them if possible. Since the Lord of Greed was apparently up to something suspicious on the Duke’s side, he planned to make use of that. All preparations had already been completed.
Sank approached Jinwoo. In his hand was a script, worn and tattered from so much rehearsal.
“Haha, it’s truly a heart-stirring story.”
At his words, Jinwoo gave a slight nod.
It was something he had only imagined back in the days when they struggled to resist the Erosion.
A future version of himself, who had transcended the Archmage, suddenly appearing to defeat the Erosion and save his comrades. A miracle in the form of a powerful reinforcement.
He had tried to capture that happy fantasy in this story.
“And, it’s already a wonderful story.”
Sank said this as he looked at the room now bustling with Arsilan natives. At those words, Jinwoo’s gaze wavered slightly. That comment was a huge comfort to him. It gave him the strength to continue creating Arsilan Saga with even more passion.
“Alright! Let’s enjoy this one too!”
Everyone smiled and nodded.
Then, let’s get ready to have some fun!
***
The story of the Giant Realm was also ed to the Kingdom of Sillion. Countless heroes wrote letters to Leon and even ran to Heina to speak to her in person. Since Leon had been depicted in a mural in the Underground Labyrinth and Sank had mentioned him, the heroes expected Leon to respond.
That expectation was correct.
Rumors spread that Leon had left the royal palace, and a blue-robed Leon appeared in the Romance Domain. Knights, including Heina, stood by his side as if escorting him.
"Huh? Your Highness Leon!"
“Ooh! He’s here!”
A large number of heroes were gathered in front of the Underground Labyrinth. All of them had formed parties to head to the Giant Realm. The scale resembled that of a full-on raid unit.
“We are heading to the Giant Realm. Will you join us?”
At Leon’s words, the heroes cheered and joined him. Leon, leading the heroes into the Underground Labyrinth, was immediately broadcast live by the News Bureau.
-Leon-nim is carrying the team.
-Ah! I’m at work! Damn it....
-I was too scared to try, but I’m going too!
The pace of the Underground Labyrinth breakthrough was incredibly fast. Heina advanced like a tank, crushing traps and monsters. When Leon raised the Holy Sword, Ella’s blessing enveloped them, increasing the abilities of all the heroes.
“Is the Erosion still manageable?”
“Thanks to Lady Ella’s light, we can endure it.”
When Leon said that, the heroes finally felt some relief. The lantern obtained on the first floor protected Leon and the knights from the Erosion.
“Kya! We’re already on the second floor!”
“This labyrinth is hella easy.”
“Now this is how you clear a labyrinth!”
Leon stopped at every sanctuary to stare at the murals for a long time. These moments were broadcast through the News Bureau.
“The shield that blocked the Breath of Darkness, was it given by the Giant Tribe’s Great Chief?”
A hero from the News Bureau carefully asked. Leon smiled faintly and nodded.
“She was my childhood friend. We were always together on the battlefield. If I had been better prepared... the result might have been different.”
Leon blamed his immature self.
-Leon-nim...
-So sad...
-But you can meet her again!
-When will Leon-nim finally find happiness?
The heroes, having seen Leon’s history, wished for his happiness. After quickly clearing the Underground Labyrinth, they moved on to the Giant Realm with him.
“Oh! They’re here!”
“Over here!”
Many heroes, including Haebyul and LifeHunter, were tending the flower fields. They cut the flower stems like chopping wood and harvested nectar from the stamens.
Kieek!
After they extracted all the nectar and cut the stamens, the flowers writhed in agony before withering away.
-These guys have already adapted.
-They say cooking with that nectar gives a stamina buff.
-Ah... so that’s why they’re so enthusiastic.
-Now that sounds tempting.
For the heroes, stamina was a serious matter. That hellish flower field was being reduced to ashes. The Giant Tribe also came out to greet Leon. As everyone moved together to the Giant Tribe’s village, Sank approached.
“It’s been a long time, Sank-nim.”
“Haha, I never thought I’d see you again.”
Leon and Sank greeted each other warmly, shaking hands.
“I’ve heard the news.”
“Then that saves me an explanation.”
Many heroes had gathered in the Giant Tribe’s village. They looked ready to hear the story. Sank quietly closed his eyes, remained silent for a moment, then pulled a book from his robe.
“Perhaps Lady Ella foresaw all of this. All the heroes of miracles are now in Arsilan and the Giant Realm, after all.”
Sank held the book out to Leon.
“If the Prince of Light, who has all the conditions, the miracle of the Holy Sword, the unity of the races, and help from the Abyss, places his hand on this book, the path to the future will open.”
When Leon placed his hand on the book, it opened as if a seal had been lifted, and light burst out. Several pages floated into the air, turning into particles of light and then forming the emblem of the Arsilan Golden Alliance.
“Preparations must be made simultaneously in both the Giant Realm and Arsilan. The Giant Realm will be the vessel, and Arsilan the light that fills it.”
As the emblem of the Arsilan Golden Alliance split apart, a blueprint appeared. It showed where the Holy Sword would be placed, where Helby’s power would be imbued, and even the locations where the chiefs of each race would offer their strength.
"Just once! To the place where this orb lost its power. You can return to the final war."
Sank took out an orb that had lost its light.
“Then..., can we change history?”
“No, I don’t believe so.”
Sank shook his head.
“What has already passed cannot be changed. A new branching point will be created, and their history will change.”
At Sank’s words, silence briefly fell.
“King of Sillion. Do you regret the past?”
“If I had done better, if I had been stronger, the future might have turned out differently. But because I had comrades, I was able to meet the heroes and create a miracle. I cannot erase that noble sacrifice and pure-hearted spirit.”
Leon smiled, overcoming his sorrow.
“I will return to the past to gain the strength to move forward into the future. And I want to help them as well. I want to share the hope we created. I want to show them the heroes who are the brightest light I’ve ever met.”
-Parallel world!
-Ooooh, he’s going back to the past to make a happy ending!
-Kya! This is it! This is what a saga should be!
-Let’s go!
Sank nodded and handed the orb to Leon.
“Then begin preparations! Gather the materials and construct the Temple of Miracles in both Arsilan and the Giant Realm!”
[Arsilan] For the Miracle!
‘We are the very light of Arsilan!’
By constructing the Temple of Miracles, a gate to the past could be opened from both the Giant Realm and Arsilan.
Let’s turn back time and save those who suffered. Let’s share the light of Arsilan and lead them into a happy tale.
We have the strength to do so.
Now! Prepare for salvation together with everyone!
“Oh? This means...”
“So we can also go from Arsilan.”
-Group quest time!
-As expected of the Creator God...
-We’re going too!!
-Everyone get ready ㄱㄱ
-Glory to the Creator God!
This episode allowed everyone to participate, from beginners to named heroes. Amidst cheers and joy, both the Giant Realm and Arsilan began to move busily!
***
The Lord of Greed, who had fallen to the surface, split his divine power and spread it throughout the entire Empire of Evil. Though his consciousness was fragmented and he could no longer maintain a coherent self, he was able to instill will into slaves filled with greed.
The Lord of Greed was filled with hatred toward those bugs of Ella who were invading his land. He would devour them all and torture them until their souls shattered!
Duke Belmont, the most powerful force within the Eastern Noble Union, was staring at a picture of the woman most precious to him.
He had recently received a secret letter from her.
‘Please save me from the Marquis!’
That was the content of the letter.
Her beautiful scent lingered on the paper, and Duke Belmont sniffed it deeply with his nose.
“Urgh!”
Suddenly, a sharp headache surged through him.
The fragmented divine power had entered him.
Devour them all!
Kill every last one!
Everything is mine!
Duke Belmont’s eyes turned wild, and his whole body trembled. A tremendous power surged within him. He was overwhelmed with a sense of omnipotence, as if he could do anything.
“Hh... Hahaha!”
That overwhelming power told him to raise an army and sweep everything away. Though the nobles and retainers under Duke Belmont opposed him,
“K-Kegh!”
“Guaaagh!”
Duke Belmont absorbed all their souls and strength. With this power, he could wipe out the barbarians and take full control of the Empire’s eastern region. Not even the Emperor would dare treat him lightly!
The duke stepped outside the castle and spread his arms.
A massive force exploded outward as his body shot into the sky. He looked down upon the field, where the nobles who had defied him and the woman most precious to him resided.
“Rise! My soldiers!”
Duke Belmont shouted powerfully. It was meant to be a grand and majestic moment, but due to his mosquito-like voice, it came off as comically feeble. However, the divine power contained in his cry was anything but light.
Kwagagagaga!
Tens of millions of mummy soldiers tore through the earth and revealed themselves, followed by giants, siege weapons, and terrifying monsters imbued with powerful forces descending upon the surface.
Duke Belmont reached his hand forward.
A black crystal formed, and around it, more and more soldiers were summoned.
“Wahahahaha!”
With this overwhelming number, conquering the eastern part of the Empire would be a trivial task. The absolute power continuously whispered to destroy and possess everything.
“March forward! Offer everything to me!”
An enormous army advanced at the duke’s command. The very march shook the ground, and the surrounding trees collapsed.
The advance was incredibly fast. An immortal army needed neither rest nor food. Thus they marched, until the domain of Marquis Namas was right before their eyes.
“Uhehehe! Uwahahaha!”
There lies the treasure!
The woman most precious to him will be his!
Just as Duke Belmont laughed heartily while stroking the black crystal.
“Perfect.”
A voice rang out, and then, pillars burst from the ground. The immense magical power from the pillars connected with each other and drew a massive magic circle across the entire field.
“W-What is this?!”
Duke Belmont hesitated in confusion and looked up at the sky. Someone in a blue robe was looking down at him and his tens of millions of troops.
It was Jinwoo, the Archmage and game developer.
Having received Tia’s message, Jinwoo had poured all his magic into preparing this with great care, and fortunately, it went exactly as planned. Even for Jinwoo, a spell of this scale could not be used lightly. Many conditions had to align.
Duke Belmont’s army had entered Arsilan’s territory and was now under Jinwoo’s control.
Jinwoo gave a thumbs-up to Airi, who was standing on the fortress wall. Airi had been helping Jinwoo even more actively than before.
“Thanks. I’ll gladly accept the gift.”
This episode was all acting, everything moving according to script, but real elements were also necessary. That was the “enemy” with vast amounts of experience points. Jinwoo looked at the enemies entering the stage and grinned.
“It’s a main episode, so it has to be on this scale!”
Kugugugug!
As Jinwoo raised his hand while expending a massive amount of magic, an Invasion Stone burst from the ground, transforming into an enormous gate. Jinwoo thrust his hand forward.
Kwagagagaga!
The gate surged forward and devoured all the troops and monsters. Even the crystal that had been in front of Duke Belmont was swallowed whole, and then, as if it were a lie, the gate shattered and vanished.
“Huh? H-Huh...?”
Duke Belmont was stunned.
He couldn’t understand what had just happened. His grand army had completely vanished, and only the empty field remained.
A shadow fell over him.
“Are you good at acting?”
Jinwoo, now standing on the ground, looked at Duke Belmont with a smile.
