Delphine returned to the hotel she was staying at and carefully examined the gifts, only to realize that Desmond wasn’t exaggerating in the slightest.

The Four Treasures of the Study carried a strong sense of antiquity—the inkstone felt unusually smooth to the touch, carved with mountain and water motifs. As for the other gifts, she couldn’t quite discern their value, so she carefully put them away, planning to ask her father for advice later.
Delphine had arranged relatively relaxed background roles for the Wood Family members—such as elderly people sitting peacefully at the alley entrance, or various passersby without lines, allowing them to improvise.
After several days of filming, Delphine was somewhat taken aback. Although Lucian Bates had been assisting her and she had been calling Theodore Hughes for advice now and then, while experience could be taught, capturing the right emotional tone during filming was something she had to figure out on her own.
This production was going surprisingly well—Chloe Winston was more dedicated than she had imagined. Though young and headstrong, the girl had a remarkable work ethic. She often exchanged ideas with Delphine during shooting, and many scenes were filmed more than a dozen times to ensure perfection.
Because of this, everyone in the crew was giving their all. It wasn’t until Delphine saw Benjamin and Nicholas that she realized how exhausted she had become.
"Director Carter, your kids are so adorable—and you have two of them?" Chloe, still dressed in her high school uniform after wrapping up, was instantly enchanted by the two cute little ones upon seeing them.
The little girl with a missing tooth grinned sweetly, her dimples utterly adorable.
The handsome little boy had features that were almost too perfect and politely greeted her. Plus, they were so small—they looked no older than three or four!
Chloe was completely smitten and didn’t want to leave. She desperately wanted to pinch their little cheeks.
"Mommy, Benjamin missed you so much," Benjamin said as she wrapped her arms and legs around Delphine’s neck, her tiny voice wailing.
"Nicholas missed Mommy too," Nicholas said shyly.
Delphine, melted by the sweetness of the two little ones, hugged one and held the hand of the other, then smiled at Chloe and asked, "Do you want to hold them?"
"Yes, yes, yes!" Chloe’s face lit up as she joyfully scooped up the little boy, planting kisses on both cheeks and pinching his chubby face. She couldn’t help thinking how much she wanted a cute little boy like him.
Nicholas Carter stared at her with his large innocent dark eyes, looking slightly helpless as the pretty older sister playfully stole kisses.
"Nicholas, how did you get here?" Delphine asked her eldest child.
"Daddy Benjamin brought us here," Nicholas Carter said softly. Then, his pretty little face was kissed by the older sister once again, making the young boy’s ears turn red with embarrassment. He considered himself a grown-up now.
"Miss Winston, Mr. Bates is here and waiting for you outside," the assistant quietly informed her.
The smile on Chloe’s face suddenly stiffened a little.
Outside the crew, a Rolls-Royce and Bentley were parked side by side. The two men, surprised to see each other there, rolled down their car windows simultaneously.
