Trapped in Paradise (In a Hentai World, as a Trap)-Chapter 402

“Ning Chu! What’s with those dark circles under your eyes?!”
As soon as Yan Xinya stepped into the classroom, she spotted the faint shadows under Ning Chu’s eyes. The wolf girl’s tail swished behind her as she hurried over, full of exaggerated concern.
Ning Chu could barely keep her eyes open. She glanced up lazily at her and muttered mid-yawn, “Didn’t sleep well last night.”
“Did Wen Yang not let you sleep? How shameless of him!”
“???”
“You were glowing the past few days, and now you look miserable~”
“It wasn’t him!” Ning Chu shot her a look. “The neighbors got drunk and made a racket for half an hour.”
“You’ve been totally corrupted by Lily’s nonsense, you know that?”
The wolf girl plopped down beside her, ears perked with curiosity. “So what happened next? Did you call the cops?”
“No. Turns out they were pretty reasonable. Wen Yang just knocked on their door, and the problem was solved in under two minutes.”
No yelling, no fighting—nothing like that. Wen Yang’s height alone—nearly 1.9 meters—was enough to make most people calm down and “reason things out.”
And if reason didn’t work, well… Wen Yang wasn’t exactly afraid of “physical persuasion.” He just preferred not to cause trouble.
Ning Chu turned to glance at him. He was sitting quietly nearby, focused on his book. A small smile crept to her lips.
“Wen Yang’s really reliable. Just... kind of scary when he’s mad.”
“I’ve
never
seen him mad before.”
She studied his sharp, handsome features, trying—and failing—to imagine what “angry Wen Yang” would even look like. He’d always been calm, polite, and easy to get along with. A total straight arrow. Maybe a little corrupted by Zhang Shaoqing’s bad influence, but still.
The wolf girl’s tail wagged so fast it looked like a fan. She beamed dreamily. “That’s so nice~ He sounds so reliable~ So sweet~”
“...”
Then her ears twitched, and she reached out to touch Ning Chu’s head.
“Hey! Hands off!”
“I’m checking if your horns have started growing yet~”
“It doesn’t happen
that
fast!” Ning Chu sighed, rubbing her scalp anxiously. “Still... you don’t really see many people with horns around here, do you?”
Among demi-human girls, the ones who grew horns were usually dragons, bulls, goats, deer—and succubi.
The others didn’t have to worry about hiding tails, and they tended to be tall, athletic types—the kind who dominated sports meets every year.
Ning Chu, on the other hand, was soft, small, and carried a natural kind of charm that made it pretty obvious what she was.
Anyone who knew a little about demi-humans could tell—she was definitely a succubus.
Life was about to get a lot more complicated...
Her gaze drifted toward Zhang Shaoqing’s annoyingly smug face.
Especially
that
guy. He’d never miss a chance to tease her!
“Hey! Qian Qian still ignoring you?” she asked casually.
Zhang Shaoqing struck a dramatic pose, tilting his head up at a forty-five-degree angle toward the window, sighing like a heartbroken poet. “Yeah... she suddenly stopped replying.”
But a moment later, his mood flipped. “Still! I think I’ve found that spark again—love at first sight! This time, I’m
definitely
getting her!”
“And once you do, you’ll lose interest again?”
“Come on, do I look
that
shallow to you?”
Ning Chu stared at him seriously and nodded. “Yeah. You totally do.”
“Damn it! You’re the shallow one!”
“Oh, by the way,” he said suddenly, “what were you and Wen Yang doing yesterday afternoon? I asked the wolf girl, but she wouldn’t tell me.”
“Uh...” Ning Chu hesitated for a moment before deciding to be honest. “I wasn’t feeling well, so I went for a checkup.”
“You’re... having a baby?”
“Go to hell!”
Zhang Shaoqing raised an eyebrow, looking intrigued. “Then what’s wrong with you?”
“The doctor said I might grow horns in the future.”
“!!!” Both he and Wang Jie turned their heads toward Ning Chu in shock, giving her a once-over from head to toe, but no matter how they looked, they couldn’t find any sign of a demi-human girl.
They checked her ears—hidden under her hair, no sign of animal ears. Then they looked for a tail—her coat covered her hips, so nothing there either.
“So you’re actually a demi-human girl?”
“What? Is that a problem?”
“Just... can’t tell at all...”
If horns weren’t something you simply couldn’t hide, Ning Chu wouldn’t have bothered bringing it up so early—she was just worried Zhang Shaoqing would start jumping to wild conclusions later.
She rested her chin on her palm, gazing absentmindedly at the teacher on stage, her eyes tinged with quiet melancholy.
Compared to the shock she felt yesterday upon first learning she’d grow horns, now that some time had passed, she wasn’t as resistant to the idea.
In fact, deep down, she was
a little curious
—once she had her “steering wheel,” what kinds of things she and Wen Yang could...
She froze mid-thought and immediately covered her face in embarrassment.
Ugh, my mind’s already become like a succubus’s!
“Holy crap! Single pull, got a gold!”
“My luck’s insane today! Might as well drop two grand and test the waters!”
The rich kid suddenly shouted, and the entire row of students erupted. Even Ning Chu couldn’t help craning her neck to see what was going on.
“No way, that’s crazy luck!”
“Two thousand just like that?!”
“Quiet! Quiet!!”
The teacher on the podium slammed the desk furiously—he’d
never
seen a class this brazen, chatting and gaming during lecture like they owned the place!
Wen Yang, as always, was the model student. He didn’t let the chaos distract him—head down, scribbling notes at lightning speed.
Even when class ended, he only chatted briefly with Ning Chu. The rest of the time, he stayed focused.
When most of the class had filed out, Ning Chu stretched lazily and asked, “So, what are we eating for lunch~?”
“Up to you, I don’t mind,” Wen Yang said, tidying up their notebooks. “Oh—remember, we’ve got to memorize those English words this week.”
“No worries! Qian Qian’s the English teacher, she won’t check on me~”
He sighed, trying to reason with her. “Didn’t
you
say we should focus on studying in college?”
“I said that?” Ning Chu frowned, thinking hard—but drew a blank.
Probably something she’d said casually back when she was stopping Wen Yang from going on dates...
“It’s not like I don’t study~ I listen in class,” she said, slinging her small bag over her shoulder as she followed him out. “Where to after lunch? Library? I’ll write on my phone there.”
“Mm, sounds good.”
They turned a corner toward the stairs—only to run into a ghost.
“Wen Yang? Perfect timing, I was just looking for you.”
It was An An, smiling sweetly up at them. Seeing the sudden tension in the pair’s faces, she waved a hand reassuringly. “Relax, it’s nothing serious. We can talk here.”
“What’s up?”
“Who’s the dorm leader in your room? There’s a meeting at noon, all leaders have to attend. Oh, and make sure to notify everyone in the group chat.”
Wen Yang glanced sideways at the little succubus beside him.
But since Ning Chu had been reassigned to Yan Xinya’s dorm, their old room’s leader spot was now vacant.
“I guess... that’d be me?”
“Right. Meeting’s at 1:30, in classroom 201. Don’t forget to take attendance beforehand.”
“But I’m not the class monitor anymore... why am I still doing class monitor work?”
Wen Yang grumbled—but then suddenly paused. His expression stiffened as his eyes met Ning Chu’s.
Both their faces changed at once.
The plot!
