Chapter 386: Oh, To Be Worshipped?
[TAMIKO]
"Oh, you’re so funny, lapochka," Tamiko heard, and he almost died at that moment.
His Erasthai.
His mate.
His beloved was calling someone else fucking lapochka.
His beautiful Kosta was endearing to someone else and it was fucking with hm.
What the fuck was going on? Oh, but he was furious, so he walked closer to the shelter, desperate to see for himself, and when he peeked through the walls, Tamiko felt his heart stop. He just didn’t know what he was supposed to do in cases like this.
He had never gotten this angry and possessive over anyone. He had never been this jealous of Kosta, never in this intensity, and it was killing him. So, when he heard Kosta laugh, Tamiko knew it was the last straw for him.
And in his fury, he ripped the door right off its hinges, to get him a closer look at what was happening in the damn shelter. What he hadn’t realized was that he would lose his breath, mind, and sanity at the same time at the sight.
He didn’t think that he was ever capable of that kind of rage. And his heart stopped a second time, desperate to let him know if he was seeing right or if he was hearing blindness.
His senses were fucked and his eyes were almost used as a hearing tool while his hand gripped his neck, to keep him from choking. Yet even then, Kosta didn’t seem bothered. His Erasthai didn’t even try to seek him out, and that was worse than hell for Tamiko.
"Why," Tamiko asked, but nothing came out.
His voice was gone, from all the rage, and maybe because he had been clutching his throat and shirt a little too hard.
But all of that wouldn’t matter because what he was seeing was not something anyone would ever survive. He had been the one to let Kosta go, though, so this was on him, right?
But was it supposed to be this complicated and hard?
"You need to eat up, princess," Sanji said, ignoring Tamiko just like Kosta had been, but for some reason, Tamiko could have sworn he saw Erasthai stiffen.
Kosta never stiffened.
Perhaps it was because the name ’princess’ was what Tamiko always called him in their intimate moments. And that got Tamiko’s mind twirling with questions.
He wondered if they had fucked and if that was how Kosta had managed to get Sanji’s scent on him that much. But was it any better that he was watching the chaos?
"Wh—" Tamiko struggled for the second time, and his eyesight began getting blurry. It is almost like he was hallucinating, but then his blood pressure had hit an all-time high to the point that the prince was almost frozen in time.
He was angry, too angry that he didn’t even know what to do, and the way his sight was getting blurry and lingering between light and darkness wasn’t making anything better for him.
And Tamiko wondered if everything had all been in his head.
If all the things that had happened in the past ten years, and especially the past two weeks, had all been in his head.
But the way that Kosta was seated comfortably on Sanji’s lap like he belonged there seemed so wrong that Tamiko tried to snap out of his trance. He struggled with his rage and had fully taken over.
But he had to think.
He needed to think straight, only that there was no point in him struggling to think.
The truth was right in front of him.
The love of his life was seated on Sanjiro’s lap like it was home.
His Kosta.
His.
"Princess, you didn’t tell me what you did at the palace it to have your ex ripping your door off its hinges," Sanji spoke, his heart in his hands, as the tried to control his shaking, he could see how red Tamiko’s eyes had gotten; but Sanji was a Furfante.
He was everything wrong with society, and he hadn’t gotten successful too many times just because he was scared of royals. The man wasn’t scared of Zaffuto himself. So, what of his offspring?
"Don’t mind him. I don’t know what he wants, honestly. He kept growling at the palace, and now he is here. Or maybe he wants to come and join us in manning the borders," Kosta said, adding the last bit with glee.
Sanji knew that they were doomed for real this time.
Or maybe he was the one who was doomed.
Igor Konstantin’s giggling was insane.
It was so out of order that it had caught Sanji off guard once again, but the man had insisted on keeping up the act. He wasn’t sure if this was worth the chaos they were in, but when Kosta kissed Sanji’s neck, hell broke loose.
And even Kosta knew then that they were fucked.
Good riddens, right?
Perhaps that was the easiest way out, because Tamiko didn’t say a word, but he turned the entire shelter upside down in one gesture. He didn’t even bother to walk to where Kosta and Sanji were sitting or even eating, no.
He tore apart the place, his hands bleeding as he ripped through the stone walls, like he was ripping apart a soft cushion. It was gory and scary to watch, and Kosta stilled, not recognizing the man in front of him.
He had never imagined that Tamiko would come to him, not like this. The man hadn’t said shit, and now it was like he was letting out his frustrations on the wall?
"Let’s get out of here, princess. We wouldn’t want the cold prince to think we owe him shit," Sanji said, snapping Kosta out of the trance the Lycan Chief was in.
It was something that he had never experienced before, and this was different from anything he had ever seen in Tamiko.
"What?" Kosta asked absentmindedly as he stared at his Erasthai, who was hurting. He could see the way Tamiko’s eyes had gotten red. Maybe it was worth being enraged, but the way that his eyes were swollen was a reminder that Tamiko had been crying.
Kosta had made him cry, and gods, he wanted to reach out to Tamiko. He wanted to wipe those tears away. He wanted to pull him into a hug and tell him that he didn’t have to fight anymore.
That he didn’t need to hurt himself.
That they would be able to get through this, and yet he didn’t say anything.
"You want to watch your ex be crazy like his father?" Sanji asked, knowing damn well that that was the lowest of blows. But he didn’t focus too much on it.
Tamiko hurting himself was an all-new, even for Sanj,i and damn did his heart ache for the prince who finally managed to bring down the entire shelter and reduce it to nothingness.
It was a mess, but fuck was it something that Kosta couldn’t help but awe at.
"Nope. Let’s go. The warriors seemingly have already left. We can continue our dinner somewhere else... without any theatrics," Kosta said as he stared at Tamiko. His heart ached for this prince, but he had once been in pain, and Tamiko hadn’t saved him.
Perhaps this was karma?
"Happy crazy hour... your majesty," Kosta mocked spitefully.
