What's Wrong With Being An Omega Nanny?-Chapter 104: Elias, The Campus Celebrity!

Chapter 104

Chapter 104: Elias, The Campus Celebrity!
Elias stared for another second, heart still racing from the crowd. The hand on his shoulder was warm, familiar, but not the one he’d first thought. For a split second, when the arms had come from behind, he’d remembered Viktor’s hugs during his heat, the way Viktor had held him tight without asking. This was different from all of that.
It was Rowan behind him and for some reason, all he could think about was... Viktor.
Rowan’s face broke into a playful pout. He leaned in, voice low so only Elias could hear.
"You didn’t answer. Did you miss me?"
Elias rolled his eyes, but a smile tugged at his lips. "Did you miss me?"
Rowan ruffled Elias’s hair like he always used to. "Of course I did, idiot. You disappeared from everyone and couldn’t reply to any messages,"
He turned to the crowd, raising his voice just enough. "Alright, show’s over. Elias got an appointment with me. Move."
The students grumbled but started drifting away, phones slowly lowering. Elias mouthed a quick "thank you" to Rowan and slung his bag over his shoulder.
"Come on," Rowan said, tilting his head toward the exit. "Let’s get out before they start asking for selfies."
"Selfies? What am I? A celebrity?"
"Oho! You didn’t know? You’re the first man Viktor Drago ever laid his hands on. The princess carry video was trending on the school platform for a few days before the dean warned us to stop sharing,"
Elias almost laughed out but he stopped himself and smiled instead.
They walked side by side through the hallway, out into the late afternoon sun. The campus was bustling, with students laughing, bikes whizzing past. Rowan fell into step easily, hands in his pockets.
"So," Rowan started, "Are you okay?"
"I am. Thanks for asking," Elias replied and looked at Rowan. "Why does everyone keep asking me that? It’s normal for an Omega to experience heat, right?"
"Of course it is. Everyone was overwhelmed by your Pheromones, so that they could hardly breathe. I was worried sick since Viktor just grabbed you and left. He didn’t even leave any explanation. I thought he kidnapped you or something."
Elias laughed softly. "He didn’t kidnap me. I was... not feeling well. He took me to the hospital."
Rowan raised an eyebrow. "Hospital? Are you sure?"
"...Yeah. It was my first heat, so it hit hard." Elias scratched the back of his neck. "But I’m fine now. Thanks for worrying."
Rowan bumped his shoulder. "Someone has to. You don’t exactly make it easy."
They walked in comfortable silence for a bit, then Rowan spoke again. "Hey, speaking of people I haven’t seen, what about Jace? It’s been days since I saw him. Did you see him this morning?"
Elias pulled out his phone and checked the screen. There weren’t any new messages from Jace. He was also too busy to send anything to him.
"Not really. I’ve been busy trying to fix the apartment and stuff. I haven’t had time."
Rowan frowned. "Apartment? You moved?"
Elias nodded. "Yeah. I moved back to my old one. With my younger sister."
Rowan stopped walking. "Wait. The old one? The one you were in before your parents..."
"Yeah..." Elias replied before Rowan could complete his words.
"Can I come see?" Rowan asked, already grinning. "I’ve never been to your home before."
Elias hesitated. "It’s small. Not exactly comfortable for someone like you."
Rowan laughed. "Someone like me? What, you think I need a mansion to sit down? Come on, Elias. Let me visit."
Elias sighed. "Fine. But don’t say I didn’t warn you."
They flagged a cab and climbed in. The driver pulled away from campus.
Inside the car, Rowan stretched his legs as much as the small space allowed. "So, exams are coming up. How’re you preparing?"
"Just studying when I can," Elias said, staring out the window. "I’d also need to find a job over the break. Money’s tight."
Rowan turned to him. "You know my dad owns a bar yeah... It’s near the east market."
"Yeah, I did hear that other students were talking about it,"
"We’re short-staffed. It’s small, but busy. Good tips. You could work there."
Elias went quiet.
"I don’t particularly have food experiences with bars. They are mostly filled with creepy bosses,"
Rowan noticed immediately. "Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know."
Elias shook his head. "It’s fine. It’s just... bad memories."
"You’d be safe with me," Rowan said softly. "We could do the same shifts. I’ll watch your back. I promise."
Elias looked at him for a long moment, then clapped once. "I’ll think about it."
Rowan grinned. "That’s not a no."
The driver pulled up outside the old apartment building. "We’re here."
Rowan paid before Elias could even reach for his wallet. "My treat."
They climbed the stairs. Elias stopped in front of his door and blinked.
It was new.
Shiny wood. Fresh paint. There was even a little silver doorbell he definitely didn’t buy.
"What the..." Elias muttered.
Rowan raised an eyebrow. "You just moved in or something?"
"No..." Elias pressed the doorbell.
A tiny speaker crackled. A cheerful voice came through. "Who is it?"
Elias smirked. "It’s me, you little monster."
The door flew open. Lila launched herself at him, arms around his waist.
"You’re back!"
Then she looked up at Rowan, tall, tattoos peeking from his sleeves, piercings in his ears. Most kids would’ve screamed. Lila just tilted her head.
"Why are all your friends giants?" she asked Elias.
Elias shrugged. "Coincidence."
Lila hummed and ran back inside.
Rowan stepped in and stopped dead.
The living room was completely different. He left in the middle of them still fixing a few things. But he just couldn’t get used to the new look of his apartment.
New couch. Big fridge. Flat-screen TV. The air conditioner is humming quietly. Everything smelled clean and new.
Rowan turned slowly. "Elias. Did you rob a furniture store?"
"I... didn’t do this," Elias said weakly.
Rowan walked around, touching the new dining table, opening the fridge. "This fridge is bigger than the one in my house."
Elias rubbed his neck. "It’s a long story."
Rowan laughed. "I want that story later."
Elias went to the kitchen, found the new coffee machine, someone definitely bought that too, and started making coffee.
Lila sat on the couch, swinging her legs. "Brother, dinner?"
"Yeah, yeah. Give me a minute." Elias handed Rowan a mug. "Make yourself comfortable. I’m gonna shower quickly. It’s been a long day."
Rowan took the coffee. "Take your time."
Lila watched his brother head to his soon. She rubbed her chin, forgetting to tell him something.
’Hmm. I guess he’ll find out for himself,’
Elias headed to his room, closed the door behind him, and started peeling off his shirt. He tossed it on the chair, reached for his trousers, and then,
Arms wrapped around his waist from behind.
Elias flinched hard, elbow ready to swing. "Rowan, I swear..."
"Relax, little cat," a deep voice whispered against his ear. "It’s me."
Elias froze. He knew that voice.
Every cell in his body knew that voice.
Viktor.
His cheeks burned instantly. Memories flooded back, Viktor’s hands during his heat, the way he’d whispered his name, the way he’d taken care of him when he was too weak to move.
Elias covered his face with both hands.
"Fuck! What are you doing here?"
Viktor’s arms didn’t move. He rested his chin on Elias’s shoulder.
"Luka dropped the stuff. I came to finish the job."
Elias turned his head slowly, looking around the room.
New bed. Big. Soft-looking. New sheets. New curtains. Even the old creaky wardrobe was gone, replaced with something sleek and modern.
He hadn’t been in his parents’ old room since they died. He couldn’t. Everything was still boxed up. But this room, his and Lila’s, was completely transformed.
Viktor kissed his cheek softly.
Elias jumped. "Hey!"
"Focus on me. Don’t think about anything else when I’m here," Viktor said, voice low.
Elias swallowed. "What if I don’t?"
Viktor’s thumb pointed behind him at the bed. He grinned.
"You know the bed’s new. We could test how well it bounces."
Elias slapped a hand over Viktor’s mouth.
"Get out."
Viktor shook his head, eyes laughing.
"What if I don’t?"
"Please," Elias tried again, softer.
Viktor pulled Elias’s hand down gently.
"You’ll have to beg harder than that, sweetheart,"
Elias bit his lip. His face was on fire. He couldn’t think, nor could he breathe properly.
Then, without warning, he leaned forward and pressed a quick kiss to Viktor’s lips.
After that, he pulled back instantly.
"Is that enough?" he mumbled, eyes on the floor.
Viktor went completely still. For three full seconds, he didn’t move or breathe.
Then he grabbed Elias’s hand, pulled him close, and kissed him properly.
The kiss was deep, slow and hungry.
When he finally pulled back, his voice was rough.
"’Is that enough?’" he smirked and wrapped his hand around Elias’s waist. "Not even close. I need more."
He leaned in again.
"I need... you."
The door handle rattled.
Lila’s voice came through.
"Brother? Dinner is not going to cook itself if you don’t come out soon!"
Elias’s eyes went wide.
"That’s my sister... I have to..."
Viktor smirked against his lips and didn’t let go.
"Brother?"
