Chapter 82: Elias Is The Saviour! 2
"You’re not the boss of me. So... No!"
Clara heard those words and felt like her head was on fire. No one had ever spoken to her like that, not even Viktor.
She wanted to order the guards to tie him up or maybe, lounge forward to hit his face, but she stopped herself.
The door opened again and his little sister stepped out of the car.
"Brother, aren’t we going? The driver is already complaining," she asked and Elias looked at his sister.
"We’ll be leaving now. Go back into the car," he said. He also wants to leave before Viktor returns. He didn’t want to see his face at all.
Gerald walked out again.
"The kids are asleep, Elias." He said. They chatted for less than a minute, forgetting that Clara was in front of them, and Gerald helped him into the car, and the cab drove off.
Gerald smiled again as he realised how much he had missed Elias. Not just him, the kids and everyone in the house.
"Stay safe, kid," he said and turned to the house, but a slap hit his cheek. The guards and other people around started murmuring. It wasn’t the first time Clara had hit Gerald.
In fact, Gerald wasn’t the only one Clara hit in the house. She could hit anyone.
"Did you just send that brat off when I was still talking to him?" She asked.
"I apologise, Miss Clara..."
"I told you to call me Mrs Drago! You old fool!" She yelled and that was when Viktor’s car drove in.
Clara saw him alight from the car as he adjusted his suit jacket. She arranged her hair and walked towards him with a smile.
"You’re back, baby," she said, as her tone became soft. She was happy to see him again but deep down.
’Thank goodness that brat left before Viktor came in. I can’t imagine what would happen if those two met each other again,’
Viktor didn’t spare her a glance. He looked at Gerald with his half-swollen cheek and finally looked at her.
"Clara, what did I say about hitting the staff in the house?"
"Are you going to scold me? They aren’t doing their jobs well and I was just disciplining them. I literally did nothing wrong!" She pouted her lips as she tried to touch him but he moved away.
"Discipline them? Gerald is old enough to be your father... Or even your grandfather," he said but Clara rolled her eyes.
"Yeah, he’s old enough but he’s not. There’s no way someone as poor as he is could be related to me," she flung her hair to the back and that’s when Viktor knew whatever he was saying was going through the wrong ear.
Clara was never going to listen. When the car drove into the estate, he saw a cab driving out. He knew Elias was in that car.
’Did Clara hit Elias too?’
He turned to Gerald, whose head was still low.
"Gerald," he called and Gerald lifted his head.
"Yes, Master," he answered.
"Get yourself treated and come to my office," Viktor said and Gerald bowed before heading back into the house. Clara watched him and scoffed
"He’s just pretending to be weak," she said, adjusting his tie. "Besides that, my father asked me to say hi to you. He wanted to speak to you about our wedding,"
"I’m busy, Clara. Besides, the wedding will only hold depending on your character," he spoke with a cold look on his face. He obviously didn’t care about the wedding. He didn’t care about Clara and her family. The engagement had to hold because that was the only way he could show that he would do anything to protect his children.
"What do you mean by my character?" She questioned him and Viktor took heavy steps closer to her. She stepped back, as her heart started to pound repeatedly in her chest. The look in Viktor’s eyes was as if he would strangle her to death.
"Hitting my staff when you’re not their boss. Taking my kids out and letting them end up on the internet. You’re not a good wife or mother and certainly you don’t fit to be the lady of the Drago family. So, if you wish for a marriage to hold, start by changing your ugly self," he said and walked away.
In front of about ten staff members or so, Viktor had just insulted her. He walked away like he didn’t say anything and she remained there. Tears rolled down her cheek as she rushed into the house.
She has been insulted many times already. First, it was the kids, then Elias and finally Viktor. She entered her room and banged the door shut before taking out her phone and calling her father.
It rang repeatedly and suddenly, his voice came through.
"Father..."
"Huh? My princess, who made you cry?" He asked. She didn’t answer. She just sobbed repeatedly and her father got even more worried about her. "Talk to me dear. Tell me who it is and I’ll kill them,"
"Father... Would you really kill them for me?" She asked and his voice answered without constraint.
"Yes, my darling daughter. You have to tell me who it is," he said. She sat up and wiped the tears off her cheeks.
"It’s... It’s the kids’ Nanny. Elias Kane. He called me names, Dad. I want you to get rid of him,"
"If that’s what you want, I would do so for you,"
A cruel smile crept on her face.
"You have to hurry, Father. As long as he’s alive, Viktor will not marry me. But, once he’s dead. Both Viktor and the kids would finally accept me,"
"Haha! That means I would have to hurry up and kill him. Don’t worry. Within a week, he would be wiped out from this world. Leave it to your father,"
"Thanks, Dad, you’re always my number one," she hung up, and the smile got even wider.
"Just you wait, Elias Kane. Within a week, you would be out of this world. Out of my world forever,"
.
.
Inside Viktor’s office, he had taken off his coat and sat behind his desk when Gerald entered.
"I’ve arrived, Master,"
Viktor raised his head and the first thing he saw was his cheek. He sighed and slipped his fingers through his hair.
"Clara would never change, would she?" He asked and Gerald just replied with a smile. Of course, the man had no idea what to say to that question. "Besides, was Elias here?" He asked.
Gerald flinched.
"How do you know, Master?"
"I saw the cab when I drove out. Also, the news is already on the internet. Get rid of it as soon as you leave,"
"I understand, Master. Elias has changed. He was able to stand up for himself when Miss Clara spoke to him and I’m very proud of him,"
"You speak like he’s your son," Viktor smirked and Gerald didn’t answer. Elias saw Gerald as a father figure and Gerald also saw Elias as a son. So it was no problem.
"I’ll be seeing Elias next week,"
Gerald heard that and his eyes widened.
"How? What do you mean by that, Master?"
"He rejected my scholarship offer then, so I gave it to him again through another method. I’ll be handing the certificate to the students and Elias is one of them. He wouldn’t be able to reject me,"
"Master..." Gerald called and Viktor stopped him with his mouth. He already knew what Gerald was going to say.
"Don’t worry. I’m just going to see him. I’m not exactly going to touch him or anything. If we happen to have a conversation, I would let down my pride and apologise to him. His sister is awake, right?" He asked and Gerald nodded.
"I guess it’s thanks to the Voss family support. Maybe I should offer a scholarship to her too." He rubbed his chin and started asking himself if he was going too far. He was thinking too much and it’s all because of Elias.
Gerald just gave him a piece of advice. As long as he doesn’t try to force himself on Elias or get hard on him like he always does, everything will be fine.
Viktor agreed and dismissed him. Gerald was gone, but something was still bulging in his mind. When Nathan said that, that was his saviour. He was referring to Elias.
Elias and Nathan knew each other.
’So... Nathan slept in Elias’s room. Those two already knew each other. I guess they can’t meet each other again. I don’t have to be worried about them,’
He said to himself but he just couldn’t shake off that feeling like he’s going to lose Elias to Nathan.
His phone dinged and he checked the message. It was from Nathan.
N:
I’ve got a huge problem!
Viktor sighed. He wasn’t ready to start a conversation with him, but he just replied.
V:
What is it?
N:
Remember that test I told you about. The one I escaped from?
Viktor furrowed his brows. He remembered Nathan telling him about a test, but if he’s talking about the one he escaped from, that meant... It was a matching test.
V:
What about it?
N:
I’m so stupid, Vik! I shouldn’t have run away. I had no idea my partner was my saviour!
Viktor’s finger froze so that he couldn’t send a reply. Now, he understood why Elias was at the matching centre. He was going to get matched... With Nathan Caldwell.
He grabbed his chest.
’What is this pain again? It’s different from the one that happened when I look at Elias. Is this... Jealousy?’
