Chapter 50: Chapter 50- Mana blast
Dante felt a shockwave traveling through his body. He shrugged off and landed on the ground.
"Damn. You have some kind of magical shell." He exclaimed and swung his axe.
He used Reaper skill and gained a rush of mana.
His task was to weaken the big boss. The big crab channeled mana crudely to the pincer and swung in his direction.
It speeded was rather weak because of the creature’s biology. Its movements were somewhat limited.
Even if it was stronger than the black knight he faced, it didn’t matter.
Dante dodged and tried to attack its legs.
Suddenly he noticed something coming up from the ground. He jumped up in time.
"Another crab."
The big boss backed down and let its underlings deal with him.
"I don’t have time for that." He said.
He checked the surroundings and saw Shizuku and Liora were focusing on stopping the remaining crabs.
He nodded at the situation and used Zero-Point aura for a brief moment. He ignored the mana consumption and hit the crab on the back, letting the purple soaked in.
Dante didn’t stop there and used the mana to fuel his Swift Rush even more. His body blurred and arrived in front of the big crab.
’I need to coordinate my body.’
Currently, his usage of the Movement skill was quite unskilled. At least, that was what he thought. He knew he could do more.
Before he swung the cane at the big crab, he stopped midair and used his movement skill again. He jumped and stood at the back of the crab. He swung downward at the crab repeatedly.
Even if he didn’t do any damage, his attacks fueled the Crab’s rage.
It moved and tried to shake him from the back. He held on, holding its long antennae.
He laughed. The crab seemed to realize that and drove to the nearby rock wall with immense speed.
Dante braced himself and jumped again. This time he used his axe to drive at the wall, hanging there.
He then mentally used Reaper skill. He felt mana entered into his core, filling him up.
He smiled.
’This is a really good way to advance my tier.’
The constant work he gave to his mana core stressed his body. It was like training his muscles.
He glanced at the battlefield from the top, still hanging.
Thomas just finished killing his third carbs. Shizuku and Liora also end the crabs.
He mentally took a note.
"I guess plan 1 is enough." He sighed.
He looked at the big boss. It lifted up the pincer and aimed at his direction. He saw mana building up inside it.
His eyes widened as the mana level reached the highest ever felt.
"So quick. How did it manage to build up this amount of mana in a few minutes?" He muttered to himself.
He knew the mana inside the pincer was not its full potential because he reaped a few mana earlier.
"Shit." He cursed and jumped down, cranking the full mana into Swift Rush.
The crab let out the blast.
There was a white paint covering his entire view. He grinned his teeth and blocked his body with mana.
The blast cleaved off the side of the rocky wall he was hanging on.
Dante narrowly avoided the blast and yet he still took a few damaged from his left side.
He felt wind pushing into his flesh as his skin was melted away by the heat emitted by the blast.
"Dante." He heard Thomas calling out his name.
He jumped on the ground and gathered himself. He used Regenerative Heal.
His cloth also fixed itself.
Thankfully, he brought really steady underwear. Otherwise he is likely to expose his big secret to all.
He chuckled.
"So that is why you chose to shield yourself from the back. What a cunning bastard." He said.
He cracked his neck and continued running toward the big crab. He couldn’t let the crab charge another blast again. It was dangerous.
The blast was as strong as Thomas’s white flame. He suspected it was even more dangerous because it didn’t need that many times.
Although the area of damage was compressed, it was still dangerous.
"Let’s start again, Mr.Crab." Dante said, spreading his arms.
"Push me harder."

Liora’s Pov.
[You have skilled Land Crab.]
[300 points earned.]
[Do you wish to use your flesh to bright forth from the dead?]
No.
I declined the system request and focused on firing out a series of arrows. The battle was now entering the final stage.
Before my arrow could reach the next crab, Shizuku’s one entered, killing off the final crabs.
I let out a sigh and dropped my guard. I felt a hand pressed into my shoulder. I looked up and saw a familiar kind face.
She looked at me with concern and took out a mana potion from her bag. She gave it to me.
"Here. This should replenish your mana."
I nodded and took the blue vial. I chugged it into my mouth and drank it. I don’t really need this but it is best to take it.
Otherwise, it will be suspicious.
I then turned my attention to the battlefield. Now, there was only a fight left.
Earlier explosions frightened me. It was the biggest mana spike I have ever experienced. I don’t think the chief’s son would survive the blast but I was wrong.
I wished for his death to be honest. He had become the most uncertain factor in my path. He was a strange man.
I looked down and saw him facing against the giant crab. For some reason, the mana inside the crab was slowly diminishing while the man had gained even more.
It didn’t make any sense. Mana didn’t work like this. You can’t just forcefully consume other mana without taking out the will.
I concluded that he must have a different skill. Or did he have a blessing?
That thought scared me. I don’t want to fight other apostles at this stage. I am still too weak.
My army is not big enough. I needed time.
Finally, the crab fell down to the ground but it was still alive.
The man walked over to it, swinging his cane in a playful manner.
He was enjoying this. I heard a laugh coming from him. He stabbed the cane into the crab.
The ground trembled. I felt myself losing my balance.
I stood up and looked again. The crab was now broken into pieces as the cane seemed to release an enormous amount of mana.
What was that artifact?
