Becoming Secret Nanny for Possessive CEO-Chapter 29: Please Don’t Leave Daddy!

Chapter 29

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Please Don’t Leave Daddy!
Edith was still troubled by Callum’s words. If Callum couldn’t bear to scold her even though it seemed possessive in her eyes, she couldn’t bear to hate him even more. Because there’s a saying that says an innocent person will actually be more confident that he is right. Callum always speaks honestly to her, which actually makes her heart melt even more. Even though Callum hasn’t told her anything about what happened to them five years ago, she still wants to faithfully love Callum sincerely. Even now she feels like holding Callum to stay with her until the night.
Callum looked at his luxury watch with a gloomy expression as he hugged his lover. "I think I should head back to the office now."
"Then you can let me go now."
"I want to hug you longer."
Edith smiled shyly and looked around nervously. "Even though I told you the truth earlier, why do you still love me?"
"I don’t care what you say. Even if you end up leaving me, I still love you."
The longer she listened to her lover’s words, the more she couldn’t bear to leave him when she finally got the DNA test results. Because Callum was too good for her, she wouldn’t hold a grudge. She didn’t want to remember Cliff’s words about Callum kidnapping Erdin five years ago. Although Edith still wondered how Erdin survived the accident with Callum. She had already concluded that Callum was the one who saved Erdin, not kidnapped her.
Edith released the hug for a moment, slowly stroking her lover’s soft cheek. "By the way, when is the ball?"
"Next week. What’s wrong? Are you worried about the kids?"
"Actually, I could ask my assistant to help me take care of them. But I wanted to give you a gift too."
"What gift do you want to give me?"
Edith smiled brightly, holding her lover’s hands tightly. "I want to make a couple outfits."
His eyes sparkled as he looked at his lover. "Really?"
"I’ll design the best outfit for you so you can shine brightest at the prom. You’re not just hiring me as your secret nanny; I’m also your personal designer. It’s my job to design your outfit for this important event."
Callum’s smile widened, his lips landing deeply on his lover’s forehead. "Then, can I visit you more often when I have time?"
Edith still pursed her lips, nervous about receiving her lover’s sudden, sweet kiss. Although she hoped Callum would visit her frequently before the ball, she still maintained her dignity.
"I’m not forbidding you. But if your work gets neglected, it’s not my fault."
"In fact, I will visit you often so that I will be more enthusiastic about working."
"Okay, for now I’ll think about the pattern of the clothes first."

Callum eventually returned to the office after a satisfying chat with Edith. Edith was now fulfilling her role as her twins’ secret nanny. She didn’t realize she was smiling brightly even though she was just chatting casually with Callum, which made the twins curious.
"Mom is so beautiful when she smiles," Erdin cooed, looking at his mother with sparkling eyes.
Edith lowered her head and touched her warm cheek. "You’re no different from Callum. Turns out you’re good at sweet-talking me too. Did your dad teach you that?"
"Actually, daddy often praises mommy whenever he misses you."
"Really? What kind of compliments does he often give me?"
"Dad said, mom is very beautiful every time mommy smiles."
Thinking about Callum’s tireless longing for her for the past five years, Edith became increasingly convinced that the DNA test results were indeed manipulated. Then, when she had her accident five years ago, someone must have hidden her so Callum couldn’t find her. Moreover, she was being treated in a remote hospital. She was certain the perpetrator was the same as the one who tried to kill her.
Her decision to agree to attend the ball with Callum was the right one. If another woman were to steal him away from her, she wouldn’t hesitate to pull her hair until she was satisfied. To protect Callum from anyone, she had to do everything secretly. She didn’t even want to tell the truth to her twins, who still didn’t understand adult matters. However, she still wanted to test her sons’ reactions to living apart from Callum.
"Erdin, I have a question for you. If you didn’t live with your father, would you be willing?"
"I don’t want to. I want to live with Dad!" Erdin whined, his eyes glistening with tears.
"Does mom hate dad?" Eliana asked with a sad look.
Edith laughed awkwardly, stroking her twins’ heads. "There’s no way I’d hate your father. He’s too adorable for me."
"Then why does mom want to separate me and dad?"
"Since this is an adult matter, I can’t explain it to you in too much detail. What’s certain is that if something happens to me or your father, you should be prepared. Maybe I’ll marry Cliff."
"Don’t marry Uncle Cliff, Mom! I don’t like him!" Eliana snapped, moving her feet nimbly.
"Why do you hate him so much, my daughter?"
"Because I like Dad better. Dad is funnier than Uncle Cliff."
Erdin hugged his mother’s legs tightly. "Mom, please don’t leave Dad. I don’t want Dad to be sick again."
What exactly did Erdin mean? Why hadn’t Callum ever told her about this important matter? Was there a secret Callum was still hiding? She felt like asking Erdin about this matter directly because if Callum’s mental state was unstable, she decided she didn’t want to leave him.
"Erdin, actually–"
Suddenly, a memory flashed through her mind again. This time, it showed her having a heated argument with Cliff in a hotel. She was very curious about why she had fought with Cliff and then openly kissed a man. Was she actually cheating on Cliff? However, judging by the murderous expression on Cliff’s face, she was sure there was a problem between them. So, who was the man she was kissing at that time? Was it Callum?
