[BL] Mr. Romano Contracted Husband-Chapter 32: Something Wrong Happened

Chapter 32

Chapter 32: Something Wrong Happened
At the simple party, everyone enjoyed themselves while eating the food that had been provided. They wanted to chat, joke around, and some of them even invited Julian to talk.
Since lunch was over, they moved to another, more spacious room with some desserts and drinks.
Julian was happy because he didn’t feel like they had forgotten him just because he taught extracurricular activities. They still invited him to chat and talk about several things, including his drawing skills.
During lunch, Arcane noticed how they communicated with Julian. Seeing his husband laugh and smile made his feel warmer inside.
"Then the student said she had trouble drawing the shape of a hand. And I told her to use her own hand as an example so she could draw a hand. But she actually put her hand on the paper and traced the shape of the hand," she said with a laugh, followed by several others.
However, his gaze immediately shifted to the principal, who was chatting with the vice principal. He watched the principal’s every move, as if he needed something from him.
It was information that might be difficult for him to obtain, but he had to know it before his secret was revealed one day.
’Sometimes I feel like, what’s the point of doing all this? Even going so far as to enter into a contract marriage so I can get into this school and see him up close. But what comes after that?’ Arcane thought at the time.
Lately, he had been rethinking his decision. Why did he go this far?
He even had to pay 1,200 dollars every month to Julian as payment for their marriage contract.
He could have saved all that money to pay off his current house. But because of his curiosity and his desire to get the information he had been looking for directly, he was now in this situation.
But...
Seeing how Julian has been acting all this time, how his life feels much more enjoyable and better, coupled with feelings he has never felt before that turned out to be not as bad as he thought.
Arcane thinks that there is nothing wrong with him being here.
"If I hadn’t done it, maybe I would still be living my life alone without him."
In the midst of his daydreaming, Kyle approached him and invited him to talk.
"It seems like they really like him. Mr. Julian is very sociable and gets along well with others," he said. Considering that it took him several weeks to really get to know his own coworkers.
Meanwhile, Julian only needed an hour to be able to talk casually with them. Even though they were much older than him, they were like friends of the same age.
Arcane turned his head, nodded, and admitted that Julian was indeed an easy going and friendly person.
"I saw you peeling shrimp for him. You two looked very romantic together."
"I just thought I’d do it so he wouldn’t have to get his hands dirty. Besides, isn’t it natural to treat your partner that way?"
Kyle knew that what Arcane said was true, treating your partner well with small gestures like that. Even so, he felt so jealous because his own husband had never done anything like that for him.
And now he saw someone else being treated that way, especially by someone like Arcane.
Julian, who felt he hadn’t tasted any other food, started to take the food on the table, which was fruit salad. He saw that it contained pieces of fruit mixed with mayonnaise and yogurt, which looked so refreshing.
"It looks delicious. It would be a shame not to try it," he muttered, then took a few spoonfuls of the fruit salad into a small bowl.
As soon as he ate it, he felt so happy because it tasted so sour and sweet. The sourness came from the yogurt and the sweetness from the fruits he was eating. His face lit up as he spooned the salad into his mouth.
"Do you like it?" Arcane asked Julian.
"Yes, I like it! It tastes really good and the fruits are very fresh." Julian nodded his head and added two more spoonfuls to his bowl.
Arcane smiled seeing how much Julian enjoyed the fruit salad. He thought that maybe it wouldn’t hurt to take Julian to places he might like, to taste foods he liked.
After finishing the fruit salad, Julian put his bowl in the dirty dish container. However, only five minutes after eating the salad, he felt a burning sensation in his throat.
His forehead wrinkled as he felt a sharp pain in his throat and tightness in his chest. He reached for a glass of water and tried to drink it, but his hands felt so itchy that he had trouble holding the glass.
’What’s wrong with me? Why does my throat hurt so much?’ he thought.
Julian, who had been chatting with Arcane and several other people, suddenly grabbed his husband’s arm and clutched it.
He had trouble breathing, and his throat felt like it was swelling up. Of course, this caught everyone’s attention, including Arcane’s. Julian suddenly fell to his knees on the floor, causing the red-haired man to reflexively catch him.
"Julian! Julian, what’s wrong with you?!" he asked frantically as he tried to figure out what was going on.
"My throat hurts. I’m having trouble breathing! It feels like something is triggering my allergies," he replied in a broken voice.
Knowing this, Arcane immediately thought that perhaps the fruit salad Julian had eaten contained pieces of apple. The young man was allergic to apples, and he clearly remembered Julian telling him that he had experienced shortness of breath after eating them.
"The fruit salad over there, does it have apple pieces in it?!" he asked, shouting at them.
"Yes! I eat that fruit salad and I felt like there was apple in it. Is he allergic to apples?" replied a woman who looked worried about Julian’s condition.
As Arcane suspected, the fruit salad did contain apple slices, and now Julian’s allergy was kicking in. Without hesitation, he lifted Julian’s body in a bridal style and carried him out of the room.
"Arcane... It hurts so much—" Julian said, clutching his chest.
"Hang in there! I’ll take you to the hospital!"
He got into the car and immediately sped off toward the nearest hospital. Arcane didn’t want anything to happen to him.
Worry filled the man’s head, and with one hand he held Julian’s hand to calm him down.
"I won’t let anything bad happen to you. Trust me, help will definitely come."
