Chapter 184: Chapter 184 Mira vs Reina [Part 2]
At the same time, the smaller wolf leaped into the sky, slamming into the lightning hawk mid-flight, and both of them tumbled to the ground, the hawk backed away immediately, creating distance.
Away from those two Reina was still putting pressure on Mira, her stone shield cracked again, as Reina slashed it apart with her claws. Dust and rubble flew everywhere.
Mira’s breathing was ragged, sweat slowly dripping down her face; it looked like this would be an easy win for Reina.
Mira’s hawk screeched loudly above, still fighting with Reina’s smaller wolf.
The wolf jumped high, its teeth snapping, but the hawk’s talons sparked with lightning. It struck down hard as its claws dug into the wolf’s side.
The smaller wolf yelped, its barrier shattering as it was knocked down. It rolled across the arena floor, growling, but it had already lost its barrier, so Reina immediately released the spell.
The crowd gasped as this was the first development in the fight. Mira had taken one out even though she was under pressure.
Mira’s eyes sharpened. "Now it’s my turn..." she whispered.
Her hawk screeched again, lightning flashing across its talon as it dove downward towards Reina, the fight was unbalanced now with her hawk free.
Reina had no choice but to back away as the hawk’s talons came close; both Mira and her monkey moved backward, creating a space.
At the same time, her boar, which was still clashing with Reina’s horned wolf, was struck again.
The boar roared and pushed with all its might, but the horned wolf was stronger. Its horn dug forward, and with one last shove, it knocked the boar off its feet.
The boar squealed, crashing down, and without wasting a second, the wolf struck again, dealing the finishing blow, the barrier shattering as the wolf struck.
"Damn..." Mira muttered, biting her lip. She had lost the advantage as the spell was canceled.
Now it was two against two, Reina and her horned wolf against the monkey and the hawk.
The orange-furred monkey slammed both fists into the ground, pulling out huge blocks of stone. They shot through the air like catapults, flying at Reina and her horned wolf.
Reina gritted her teeth and had to pull back further. She slid across the arena floor, dodging, while her wolf spun aside, the stones flying past them.
The monkey screams, pounding again, sending even more rocks flying like bullets.
"Persistent little thing..." Reina hissed as she dodged.
Currently, the battle looked like it was going in Mira’s favor; shared abilities consume a lot of Mana depending on how strong it was.
Roman’s sight ability, for instance, would consume less Mana than Reina’s wolf ability, even though Reina had more Mana; if it turned into a battle of attrition, Mira would win.
Reina’s horned wolf growled, crouching low, ready to pounce again, and Reina was also ready to strike again, but this time, Reina wasn’t aiming for Mira.
She narrowed her eyes towards the monkey. If she could separate it from Mira, it would be game over in an instant.
Her hand moved as she gestured, sending the horned wolf lunging forward toward the hawk in the air.
At the same time, Reina dashed forward herself but this time she went for the monkey.
Reina dashed towards the monkey, her speed almost too fast for the ordinary eye to follow.
The monkey roared and slammed the ground again, sending up spikes of stone, but Reina slipped through them like nothing.
She leaped forward, her claws slashing, but the monkey wasn’t slow. It jumped high, springing off a block of stone that was created beneath its feet, holding onto the stone, and hanging in the air.
Reina didn’t chase it this time. Her lips curved into a thin smile as she faced away, the monkey was never the real target.
She kicked off the ground, dashing straight for Mira.
Roman wasn’t surprised one bit, he was even smiling as he already saw through the plan.
Everyone, including Roman, knew it was over.
Mira’s monkey was too high in the air, and her hawk was locked in a clash with the horned wolf. No one could reach her in time.
Reina’s claws came down as she closed the distance, but suddenly lightning flashed in the air, but the hawk wasn’t close.
Sparks wrapped around Mira’s arms as she lifted them. Her fists glowed, crackling bright blue as Reina’s eyes widened in surprise.
"You!!" Reina mumbled in her head.
No one knew Mira could share the hawk’s ability, she clenched her teeth as she struck.
She drove her fist straight into Reina’s chest. Reina tried to block, but it was meaningless.
*Bzzzzzztttt!*
The lightning exploded out with the punch. The crack echoed across the arena as Reina was pushed back, her body jolting from the shock.
The crowd erupted in shock, no one could have predicted that.
Reina was sent back, her boots dragging across the stone floor, as she finally landed on the ground.
She gritted her teeth, her hands trembling slightly.
The attack hadn’t paralyzed her fully like the hawk’s attack, but she was on the ground, and for some reason, her wolf ability was gone; she had reverted back to being human.
"Tch... you’ve been hiding this," she hissed.
Mira’s chest rose and fell quickly. Sweat rolled down her face, but her eyes were sharp and her lips curled into a smile.
"You’re not the only one with surprises," Mira responded.
Before Reina could recover, her horned wolf let out a fierce growl and lunged towards Mira to cover for her.
But the hawk screeched from above, swooping down like a bolt of lightning. At the same time, the monkey landed from its leap, slamming its fists against the ground and raising another wall of stone.
The horned wolf growled louder, as Reina stood up from the ground, she still hadn’t recovered, but they were already surrounded, the hawk from above, and the monkey from the side.
