Trapped in Paradise (In a Hentai World, as a Trap)-Chapter 362
Lunchtime.
Ning Juan's boyfriend and Wen Yang sat stiffly at the dining table, both nervous to the point they couldn’t focus on eating.
Compared to Ning Juan's boyfriend, Wen Yang was the calmer one. These were just Ning Chu’s grandparents. He had already won over Ning Chu herself and her future mother-in-law, so the opinion of the older generation didn’t feel as critical.
Ning Juan's boyfriend, on the other hand, seemed much more anxious. He sat frozen, face rigid, like he was in a serious meeting.
Meanwhile, Ning Chu's Grandpa and Ning Chu's Grandma ate while studying the two men carefully—
One was their daughter’s boyfriend, the other their granddaughter’s.
“Things sure move fast. Just last month we heard about Ning Chu’s situation, and this month she already has a boyfriend.” Ning Chu's Grandma muttered.
It seemed like Ning Chu was adjusting to her new succubus identity pretty well—no obvious signs of psychological problems.
But maybe she was adapting
too
quickly… It almost made people wonder if she had always liked men, or if her mindset had already shifted to that of a woman.
Sitting on the sofa with a rice bowl in hand, Ning Chu rolled her eyes in annoyance.
‘Why bring me into this? I didn’t even get involved! Shouldn’t the focus be on Ning Juan’s boyfriend right now?’
“Big Sis~ the meat’s gone!”
Black Bean poked her head over, eyeing the braised pork in Ning Chu’s bowl.
“Here. If it’s not enough, get more from the table.” She passed her a piece.
The dining table at home wasn’t very big—a square one that usually sat four. Six people could squeeze in if they used the corners. But today, with eight people crammed in, the small living room felt even more cramped.
Ning Juan stood behind her boyfriend, looking helpless.
She hadn’t planned to introduce him to her parents yet. Who would’ve thought they’d get ambushed like this on New Year’s Day?
Ning Yuan stood off to the side of the table, happily watching the drama unfold. He ate with great appetite, clearly enjoying the show.
“You hid this from us for six or seven years.” Ning Chu's Grandpa set down his chopsticks and gave his daughter a look.
She immediately tensed up, lips pressed together, her face expressionless.
Back then, no one supported her marriage. But she stubbornly insisted on being with that heartless man. A few years later, she was practically widowed, left to raise two kids alone.
It had been her choice, and she was too proud to admit she was wrong, too unwilling to let her family see her suffering.
“Didn’t you say that guy went abroad to make something of himself, and he’d be back in a few years? So how come you’ve got someone new now?”
Ning Juan turned her head away, refusing to answer.
Ning Chu's Grandpa sighed, lit a cigarette, and muttered, “You’ve been spoiled since you were little.”
Ning Chu's Grandma shot him a glare, then got up to open the windows and the front door for ventilation. “There are kids in the house, why are you smoking?”
“Can’t be bothered to argue with you. She’s already over forty and still acts like a stubborn girl.” Knowing his daughter’s temper, Ning Chu's Grandpa stubbed out the cigarette, then stood up with a warm smile. “Fine, I’ll go tease my granddaughter instead…”
He happily rushed over to mess with Black Bean. But the moment the kid saw this “weird old man,” she panicked and ran all over the house.
Wen Yang let out a quiet sigh of relief. He quickly shoveled a few bites of rice into his mouth and, without caring whether he was full or not, slipped over to sit beside Ning Chu.
“Good thing Grandpa and Grandma are focused on my mom,” Ning Chu whispered, glancing toward the kitchen. Her Grandma was pulling her mom and her boyfriend aside, whispering something to them. “Were you nervous just now?”
“Somewhat… your grandpa is kind of intimidating.”
“Right? He used to run a business and managed a lot of people.”
“Now I get why you’re so stubborn after seeing your mom.”
“You mean I take after her?” Ning Chu smirked.
Wen Yang nodded with a laugh.
Even if he were to ask her mid coitus whether she was hurt, this little succubus—legs trembling and body shaking like an overstuffed cream bun—would still roll her eyes, rasping in her hoarse voice, “I’m fine.”
Who knew what went on in her head?
Ning Chu set her bowl and chopsticks on the coffee table, picked up a workbook from the sofa, and shoved it into Wen Yang’s hands.
“Here. You caused this, so you deal with it.”
“…What is it?”
“Black Bean has already finished all three of her workbooks. At two pages per meal, you owe her dozens of meals. I already covered six late-night snacks for you…”
Wen Yang’s expression froze. “She finished them all in just a few days?”
“Mm. She even read through the Journey to the West you gave her, and lately she’s been catching up on the 1986 TV adaptation. I’m considering having her write a review—maybe count that as one meal.”
“…”
“Big Sis~ Grandpa keeps trying to rub his beard on my face!” Black Bean shouted dramatically, running straight into Ning Chu’s arms and burying her face in her chest.
Ning Chu's Grandpa strolled over slowly, looking a bit annoyed. “I’m your grandpa. What’s wrong with being close?”
“Your beard’s prickly!”
Clutching Ning Chu’s clothes tightly, Black Bean glared at their Grandpa like a wary little kitten.
Ning Chu's Grandpa didn’t mind being disliked. He cheerfully sat down beside Ning Chu, then turned to Wen Yang. “So, introduce yourself? Wen Yang, was it?”
“Mm… my college classmate. We were roommates, and he looked out for me a lot back then.”
“He knows about your situation?”
“Yes.”
Wen Yang gave Ning Chu's Grandpa a polite nod. “I know pretty much everything about Ning Chu.”
He was handsome, but his looks didn’t make him seem frivolous. His thick brows, sharp eyes, and well-defined features gave him a solid, trustworthy presence that older people tended to like.
“You’ve already brought him home—so what now, planning to get married?”
Ning Chu’s cheeks flushed red, and she nodded shyly.
“So fast? Don’t you want to enjoy a couple more years first?” Her Grandpa teased.
“Even if we wait until after graduation, that’s still three years away…”
Marriage certificates could technically be exchanged for extra college credits, but Wen Yang wasn’t old enough yet.
And marrying too early would only bring on pressure to have kids. She had already bent her boundaries plenty—first accepting being female, then falling for a man, and eventually ending up like a soft, cream-filled bun. Now, her only wish was
not
to have children.
Sure enough, the moment her Grandpa heard about marriage plans, he immediately asked the next question: “So when are you going to give me a great-grandchild?”
“Uh… we’ll see about that.” Ning Chu muttered, face red.
These days, Wen Yang had stocked up on extra-large condoms, just to make sure she didn’t accidentally get pregnant.
But condoms weren’t that comfortable… like phone cases. If she weren’t afraid of breaking her phone, she’d never use a thick, heavy case—she much preferred the smooth feel of a bare phone.
So Wen Yang was already planning to buy some with spiral patterns, studs, or warming effects to try out…
Seeing her Grandpa’s attention shift away, Black Bean wriggled out of Ning Chu’s arms and dashed off to find Ning Yuan.
Ning Chu's Grandpa glanced briefly at the little girl’s retreating figure before turning back toward the kitchen.
After a pause, he asked, “And what do you think of that man?”
Ning Chu frowned and shook her head. “I’ve only met him a few times… but so far, he seems okay. He treats mom well.”
Her Grandpa’s face creased in disapproval. He clearly wasn’t happy, but didn’t say much. He just nodded, sighed, and pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, heading toward the stairwell.
But Ning Chu suddenly remembered something and quickly called out: “Grandpa! Are we still going to your place to pay New Year’s greetings?”
“I knew you’d try to get out of it!” Her Grandpa shot her a glare. “If I hadn’t come here, I wouldn’t even see you after school starts.”
“That’s not true~” Ning Chu stuck out her tongue.
