Chapter 502: Chapter 250 Pirate Pursuit_3
At this moment, Alka was holding some mud-caked items.
Seeing the arrival of the pirates, he didn’t hesitate to throw the items on the ground.
"Run!"
Chadite, Julia, and Juanlu sprinted away without hesitation.
Watching the four of them flee, the pirates’ instinctive reaction was to chase them; it was almost a reflex.
"Don’t let them escape! They must have found something valuable!"
Some pirates couldn’t wait and rushed out.
They were already impatient to seize those treasures.
The leader of the group, however, was positioned in the middle of the pack, not at the very front. He swiftly arrived at the pit. The limping old man who followed him tapped the mud clumps Alka had dropped with his cane.
With the tapping, the mud on the clumps fell away, revealing items clearly made of gemstones and precious metals inside—obviously valuable pieces.
Seeing these items, the old man’s cloudy eyes suddenly became clear.
A wild grin spread across the captain’s face, tugging at the sinister scar there.
"Hahaha, chase them! Don’t let them escape!"
Laughing, he stomped the ground forcefully and shot out like an arrow, soon overtaking all the other pirates.
The old man hooked his cane around a young pirate who was eager to give chase and pulled him back.
"You, stay here and guard these! They’re all treasures. If even one is missing, I’ll break your leg."
The young pirate who had been pulled back had slightly bloodshot eyes, brimming with emotion. He readied his weapon, as if to make a few threatening gestures at the old man.
But the look on the old man’s face made him calm down. Watching the others quickly chase ahead, he reluctantly grunted. Nonetheless, he had no choice but to remain standing.
This old man seemed weak and easy to bully, but no one actually dared to cross him; they could only wait obediently in place. Seeing this, the old man smiled, patted him with the cane, and quickly hurried off after the others.
His running speed was such that no one would think he was a limping old man.
"Bah! A bunch of money-grubbing bastards! I hope they all die out there, damn it!" the young pirate said disdainfully. After ranting for a while, he sat down irritably.
He looked at the items still caked in mud, his eyes brightening as he began to clear away the outer layer.
Though he couldn’t keep it for himself, indulging his eyes and touching them wouldn’t hurt. He wanted to experience the sensation of holding wealth.
Once all the pirates had disappeared from view, quite a while passed. From the nearby bushes, a shadow flickered, and a human figure seemed to emerge.
Still immersed in the treasures, the young pirate meticulously cleared the mud off them, occasionally sighing to himself.
Suddenly, his brow furrowed and his whole demeanor changed. He turned and fiercely threw the Treasure in his hand, then drew his sword to strike downward.
The Puppet Girl in the shadow behind him had no choice but to reveal herself, crossing the small twin swords in her hands to block the blade.
This Puppet Girl’s figure seemed slightly larger.
"Little thing, still trying to sneak up on me?" the young pirate said, his eyes lighting up as he looked at the Puppet Girl.
She must be worth a pretty penny.
He intended to lift his sword forcefully and continue slashing towards the Puppet Girl. However, before the blade could fall, he widened his eyes and clutched his neck.
By now, two bloody gashes had appeared on his neck, from which blood continuously gushed. He clutched his neck with both hands, but blood still seeped unstoppably through his fingers.
Two Puppet Girls emerged from the shadow behind him, silently watching his struggle.
The Puppet Girl in front raised the long sword in her hand and pierced the pirate’s chest.
Though slender and short, the blade was enough to pierce his heart.
After completing this, the three Puppet Girls swiftly retreated into the shadows, running off into the distance. The pirate’s body lay in a pool of blood.
The pungent smell of blood wafted around, stirring everything in the winter-induced hunger.
These corpses would naturally be cleaned up by something.
At this moment, a figure was rushing through the snow. It was Alka, covered in wounds. He was sprinting, and blood dripped from his injuries onto the snow.
Constantly changing direction, he darted back and forth among the bushes and grass, trying to shake off his pursuers.
The Pirate Captain pursued him with a bloodthirsty smile, grinning at the blood trail on the ground.
The scent of fear and panic... Oh, I love it!
He loved this feeling of the hunt. Watching Alka still running in the distance, he swung his right hand.
Nothing was thrown. But Alka staggered, regaining his balance to continue fleeing.
The clothing on his back was inexplicably slashed open again. A new wound appeared in the flesh beneath, and blood began to drip.
"Haha, run! Run faster! Speed up, move!"
With the pursuit, Alka was forced to reveal his Magic Power. The Pirate Captain clearly saw his Nine Spirals strength.
Though Alka wasn’t as weak as expected, it didn’t matter. For someone like the captain, who had advanced to the Third Stage, a Nine Spirals enemy was merely a plaything.
He immensely enjoyed this process. Opportunities like this weren’t easy to find at sea, making this chance rare. He had to play thoroughly.
Regarding his game, Alka tried to cooperate as best as he could. Originally, he had been pondering how to continuously attract the captain’s attention and had already prepared several methods.
But this Pirate Captain had his own methods and didn’t need Alka to prepare anything for him.
Alka’s face was filled with panic as he ran, still tending to his wounds. He held a sphere in his hand, which recorded the time and forecasted the arrival of night.
